Seelenwanderung durch das Bergell

Schon in meiner frühen Jugend hat mich die Fotografie immer fasziniert. Dabei war es nicht alleine die Möglichkeit, vor allem die Natur in vielerlei Formen, dem Betrachter näher zu bringen, es war auch die «Technik», welche dies möglich macht, die mich immer in ihren Bann gezogen hat. So erlebte ich selbstverständlich viele Phasen der Entwicklung von der analogen Fotografie in das digitale Zeitalter, welches ich heute sicher nicht mehr missen möchte. So schmückten bald einmal die Standardwerke von Andreas Feininger und viel Fachzeitschriften mein Bücherregal, und ich begann, mich als Autodidakt auszubilden, immer im Bestreben, meinen eigenen Stil zu finden. Wobei die Natur- und Landschaftsfotogarafie immer an erster Stelle stand. So waren die Fotoreisen nach Island, unter der Leitung von Max Schmid, einer meiner ganz grossen Vorbilder, sicher der Höhepunkt in meinen jungen Jahren. Etwas später dann, eine dreiwöchige Reise mit dem Motorrad quer durch die Nord- und Südinseln von Neuseeland, welche unvergessliche Eindrücke in meinem Leben hinterliessen, und mich der Natur ein weiteres Stück näher brachten. Und so kam der Tag, als mich das Bergell, und ganz speziell Soglio in seinen Bann zog, und ich kurzentschlossen meinen Wohnsitz hierher verlegte. Die direkte Nachbarschaft zu Martin Ermatinger, dem Mitgründer der Firma Soglio-Produkte AG, ebnete mir dann sehr bald den Weg, meine Bilder anzubieten und einem breiteren Publikum vorzustellen. Dann präsentierte ich meine Fotografien auch des öfteren an Ausstellungen u.a. in Davos, Basel und Savognin, immer unter dem Titel «Faszination Naturfotografie». Den Traum, eines Tages eine kleine Auswahl meiner Werke auch einmal in Soglio ausstellen zu dürfen, hielt ich viele Jahre aufrecht. Dies unter anderem mit dem Wunsch, die Seele des Betrachters zu berühren, sein Herz zu öffnen für die einmalige Schönheit dieser wunderbaren Gegend. Und so stelle ich nun meine Ausstellung unter das Motto «Seelenwanderung durch das Bergell». Eine Wanderung mit vielen Pausen, mit vielerlei Facetten, mit viel Zeit zum Ein- und Ausatmen, zum Verweilen und einen Moment in sich hinein zu spüren. Und so gibt es Zeiten, in denen wir vieles eher Schwarz-Weiss sehen, dann wieder die bunten, farbenfrohen Momente, beide haben ihren eigenen Reiz. In diesem Sinne wünsche ich jedem Besucher, den für ihn gerade «stimmigen» Moment zu finden, wenn er durch die Ausstellung zieht.
La photographie m'a toujours fasciné depuis ma jeunesse. J'étais non seulement fasciné par la possibilité de rapprocher la nature sous toutes ses formes du spectateur, mais aussi par la "technologie" qui rendait cela possible. J'ai donc naturellement connu de nombreuses étapes de développement, de la photographie analogique à l'ère numérique, à laquelle je ne voudrais certainement pas renoncer aujourd'hui. Bientôt, les ouvrages classiques d'Andreas Feininger et de nombreux magazines spécialisés ont commencé à remplir mes étagères. J'ai donc commencé à me former en tant que photographe autodidacte, en essayant toujours de trouver mon propre style. La photographie de nature et de paysages a toujours été la priorité. Les voyages photographiques en Islande, menés par Max Schmid, l'une de mes plus grandes idoles, ont certainement été le point culminant de ma jeunesse. Peu après, un voyage de trois semaines en moto à travers les îles du Nord et du Sud de la Nouvelle-Zélande a laissé une trace indélébile dans ma vie et m'a rapproché de la nature. C'est ainsi que le jour où j'ai été séduit par la Bregaglia, et par Soglio en particulier, j'ai décidé sans hésitation de m'y installer. La proximité directe avec Martin Ermatinger, le cofondateur de la société Soglio-Produkte AG, m'a rapidement aidé à proposer et à présenter mes photos à un public plus large. J'ai exposé mes photographies à plusieurs reprises dans des endroits comme Davos, Bâle et Savognin, toujours sous le titre "Faszination Naturfotografie". Pendant de nombreuses années, j'ai gardé le rêve d'exposer un jour une petite sélection de mes œuvres à Soglio. L'une des raisons était le désir de toucher l'âme du spectateur, d'ouvrir son cœur à la beauté unique de cette merveilleuse région. C'est ainsi qu'est née mon exposition intitulée "Métempsycose à travers la Bregaglia". Une excursion faite de nombreuses pauses, de différentes facettes et de beaucoup de temps pour expirer et inspirer, pour s'arrêter et, pendant un instant, se sentir à l'intérieur. Il y a donc des moments où nous voyons beaucoup de choses en noir et blanc, puis à nouveau tout ce qui est coloré et criard, les deux ayant leur charme. En ce sens, je souhaite que chaque visiteur trouve son propre moment "dissonant" pour visiter l'exposition.
La fotografia mi ha sempre affascinato fin dalla mia gioventù. Non solo mi affascinava la possibilità di avvicinare allo spettatore la natura in tutte le sue forme, ma anche la "tecnologia" che rendeva tutto ciò possibile. Così naturalmente ho vissuto molte fasi di sviluppo dalla fotografia analogica all'era digitale, alla quale oggi certamente non vorrei rinunciare. Ben presto le opere standard di Andreas Feininger e molte riviste specializzate hanno iniziato a riempire i miei scaffali, e così ho iniziato a formarmi come autodidatta, cercando di trovare sempre il mio stile. La fotografia naturalistica e paesaggistica sono sempre state al primo posto. I viaggi fotografici in Islanda, guidati da Max Schmid, uno dei miei più grandi idoli, sono stati certamente il punto culminante della mia gioventù. Poco dopo, un viaggio in moto di tre settimane attraverso le isole nord e sud della Nuova Zelanda, ha lasciato una traccia indelebile nella mia vita e mi ha avvicinato alla natura. E così è arrivato il giorno in cui sono rimasto incantato dalla Bregaglia, e da Soglio in particolare, decidendo così, senza esitazione, di trasferirmi qui. La vicinanza diretta con Martin Ermatinger, il co-fondatore della società Soglio-Produkte AG, mi ha ben presto aiutato ad offrire e presentare le mie foto a un pubblico più vasto. Ho esposto più volte le mie fotografie in luoghi come Davos, Basilea e Savognin, sempre con il titolo "Faszination Naturfotografie". Per molti anni ho conservato il sogno di poter esporre un giorno una piccola selezione delle mie opere anche a Soglio. Una delle ragioni era il desiderio di toccare l'anima dello spettatore, di aprire il suo cuore alla bellezza unica di questa meravigliosa regione. E così nasce la mia mostra intitolata "Metempsicosi attraverso la Bregaglia". Un'escursione fatta di molte pause, diverse sfaccettature e molto tempo per espirare ed inspirare, per soffermarsi e, per un istante, sentirsi dentro. E così ci sono momenti in cui vediamo molte cose in bianco e nero, poi di nuovo tutto colorato e sgargiante, entrambe le cose hanno il loro fascino. In questo senso, desidero che ogni visitatore possa trovare il suo momento "dissonante" per visitare la mostra.
Already in my early youth, photography has always fascinated me. It was not only the possibility, especially nature in many forms, to bring the viewer closer, it was also the "technology" that makes this possible, which has always captivated me. So, of course, I experienced many phases of development from analog photography into the digital age, which I certainly would not want to miss today. So soon the standard works of Andreas Feininger and many professional journals adorned my bookshelf, and I began to train as an autodidact, always in an effort to find my own style. The nature and landscape photography was always in the first place. Thus, the photo trips to Iceland, under the leadership of Max Schmid, one of my great idols, were certainly the highlight of my young years. A little later, a three-week trip by motorcycle across the North and South Islands of New Zealand, which left unforgettable impressions in my life, and brought me closer to nature. And so the day came when the Bergell, and especially Soglio, fascinated me and I decided to move here. The direct proximity to Martin Ermatinger, the co-founder of the company Soglio-Produkte AG, soon paved the way for me to offer my pictures and present them to a wider audience. Then I often presented my photographs at exhibitions in Davos, Basel and Savognin, among others, always under the title "Fascination Nature Photography". The dream of one day being able to exhibit a small selection of my works in Soglio, I kept up for many years. This, among other things, with the desire to touch the soul of the viewer, to open his heart for the unique beauty of this wonderful area. And so I am now placing my exhibition under the motto "Soul wandering through the Bergell". A hike with many pauses, with many facets, with a lot of time to breathe in and out, to linger and to feel a moment inside. And so there are times when we see many things rather in black and white, then again the colorful, colorful moments, both have their own charm. In this sense, I wish every visitor to find the moment that is just "right" for him when he moves through the exhibition.
