Die teilweise in Biel aufgewachsene und heute in Paris lebende Fotografin entwickelte für die Ausstellung ein neues Werk, bestehend aus Fotografien und erstmalig auch aus einer Videoarbeit. Angesiedelt zwischen Dokumentation und Fiktion begegnen wir darin jungen Männern an der Schwelle zum Erwachsensein. Das Werk, das im Osten und Südosten der Türkei fotografiert und gefilmt wurde, erforscht die Welt der persischen Mythologie und ist gleichzeitig stark in den Alltagserfahrungen verankert, die die Jugendlichen in persönlichen Gesprächen zum Ausdruck bringen.
La photographe, qui a en partie grandi à Bienne et vit aujourd'hui à Paris, a développé pour l'exposition une nouvelle œuvre composée de photographies et, pour la première fois, d'un travail vidéo. Entre documentaire et fiction, nous y rencontrons des jeunes hommes au seuil de l'âge adulte. L'œuvre, qui a été photographiée et filmée dans l'est et le sud-est de la Turquie, explore l'univers de la mythologie persane tout en étant fortement ancrée dans les expériences quotidiennes que les jeunes expriment dans des entretiens personnels.
Il fotografo, che è cresciuto in parte a Bienne e ora vive a Parigi, ha sviluppato un nuovo lavoro per la mostra, composto da fotografie e, per la prima volta, da un'opera video. Tra documentazione e finzione, incontriamo giovani uomini alle soglie dell'età adulta. Fotografato e filmato nella Turchia orientale e sudorientale, il lavoro esplora il mondo della mitologia persiana ed è allo stesso tempo fortemente ancorato alle esperienze quotidiane espresse dai giovani in conversazioni personali.
The photographer, who grew up partly in Biel and now lives in Paris, developed a new work for the exhibition, consisting of photographs and, for the first time, a video work. Situated between documentation and fiction, in it we meet young men on the threshold of adulthood. Photographed and filmed in eastern and southeastern Turkey, the work explores the world of Persian mythology while being strongly anchored in the everyday experiences expressed by the young people in personal conversations.
