Grow Up ist ein Ausstellungsprogramm, das die Bewegung von Pflanzen auf der ganzen Welt aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln beleuchtet. Die rund zwanzig Künstler sind in Süd- und Mittelamerika sowie in Taiwan verankert, wo sie die Wiege der Biodiversität und der Umweltspannungen sind.
Jeder Fokus stellt die Beziehung zwischen Pflanzen und Menschen in den Vordergrund und erforscht die lokalen Beziehungen eines Gebietes, aber auch die internationalen. Diese geografische Ebene durchzieht politische, soziale, ökologische und postkolonialistische Erzählungen und Fragen. Vom Amazonas über Costa Rica bis nach Taiwan kreuzen sich die Projekte mit den Hauptpflanzen, dem Schamanismus, den Drogen, aber auch mit der sensiblen Erforschung eines Territoriums.
Diese Beziehung zu den Pflanzen ist zentral, sie sind heilig und stehen im Zentrum der lokalen Kulturen und Glaubensrichtungen. Grow up möchte das Bewusstsein für unsere Beziehung zum Lebendigen kultivieren und wachsen lassen. Fotohaus ist eingeladen, dieses Programm mit Nature et Société zu verlängern.

Grow Up est un programme d’expositions, proposant des regards croisés sur le mouvement des plantes à travers le monde. Berceau de la biodiversité et des tensions environnementales, la vingtaine d’artistes ont un ancrage géographique en Amérique du Sud, Amérique Central ou encore à Taïwan.
Chaque focus met en avant la relation entre les plantes et l’Homme, explorant les relations locales d’un territoire mais aussi internationales. Cette échelle géographique traverse les récits et questions politiques, sociales, environnementales mais aussi les questions post colonialistes. De l’Amazonie, au Costa Rica, jusqu’à Taïwan, les projets croisent les plantes maîtresses, le chamanisme, la drogue mais aussi l’exploration sensible d’un territoire.
Cette relation aux plantes est centrale, elles sont sacrées et au coeur des cultures et croyances locales, Grow up souhaite cultiver et faire grandir les consciences sur notre rapport au vivant. Fotohaus est invité à prolonger ce programme avec Nature et Société.

Grow Up è un programma di mostre che analizza in modo interdisciplinare il movimento delle piante nel mondo. Culla di biodiversità e di tensioni ambientali, la ventina di artisti ha sede in Sud America, America Centrale e Taiwan.
Ciascuna mostra mette in evidenza il rapporto tra piante ed esseri umani, esplorando relazioni locali e internazionali. Questa scala geografica attraversa narrazioni e questioni politiche, sociali e ambientali, nonché questioni post-coloniali. Dall'Amazzonia, al Costa Rica, a Taiwan, i progetti attraversano piante maestre, sciamanesimo, droghe, ma anche l'esplorazione sensibile di un territorio.
Il rapporto con le piante è centrale, in quanto sacre e al centro delle culture e delle credenze locali. Grow up mira a coltivare e sensibilizzare la nostra relazione con gli esseri viventi. Fotohaus è stata invitata a estendere questo programma con Nature et Société.

Grow Up is a programme of exhibitions, offering a cross-section of views on the movement of plants around the world. Cradle of biodiversity and environmental tensions, the twenty or so artists are based in South America, Central America and Taiwan.
Each focus highlights the relationship between plants and humans, exploring the local relationships of a territory but also international ones. This geographical scale cuts across political, social and environmental narratives and issues, as well as post-colonial issues. From the Amazon, to Costa Rica, to Taiwan, the projects cross master plants, shamanism, drugs but also the sensitive exploration of a territory.
This relation to plants is central, they are sacred and at the heart of local cultures and beliefs, Grow up wishes to cultivate and increase awareness of our relationship with living things. Fotohaus is invited to extend this programme with Nature et Société.
