Die Serie "From Behind" wurde ursprünglich mit dem Ziel konzipiert, meinen Motiven die gleiche Anonymität zu geben, die ich als Fotograf genieße. Sie ist auch eine Reaktion auf den weit verbreiteten Missbrauch von Fotos, der mit dem Aufkommen der Digitalfotografie und der sozialen Medien relativ einfach geworden ist.
Die digitale Fotografie und das Internet im Allgemeinen haben viele Vorteile für meine Arbeit gebracht. Ich freue mich über die Präzision, die sie mir bei der Erstellung von Bildern bietet. Ich bin sowohl auf Facebook als auch auf Instagram aktiv. Aber die Leichtigkeit, mit der die Privatsphäre einer Person missbraucht werden kann, beunruhigt mich und ist daher einer der Motivationsfaktoren, die mich dazu gebracht haben, diese Serie zu produzieren. Dies ist eine persönliche Entscheidung, die jeder Fotograf für sich selbst treffen muss.
Also "From Behind..." Wer sind diese Menschen, wie sehen sie aus, was machen sie? Ich fordere die Betrachter auf, diesen Bildern ihre eigene Geschichte zu geben, sich vor diese Menschen zu stellen und so diese Serie zu einem echten gemeinsamen Unterfangen zu machen.
La série "From Behind" a été conçue à l'origine dans le but de donner à mes sujets le même anonymat que celui dont je jouis en tant que photographe. Elle est également une réaction à l'abus généralisé de photos, devenu relativement facile avec l'avènement de la photographie numérique et des médias sociaux.
La photographie numérique et l'Internet en général ont apporté de nombreux avantages à mon travail. Je suis ravi de la précision qu'elle m'apporte dans la création de visuels. Je suis actif à la fois sur Facebook et sur Instagram. Mais la facilité avec laquelle on peut abuser de la vie privée d'une personne m'inquiète et c'est donc l'un des facteurs de motivation qui m'a poussé à produire cette série. Il s'agit d'une décision personnelle que chaque photographe doit prendre pour lui-même.
Alors "From Behind..." Qui sont ces personnes, à quoi ressemblent-elles, que font-elles ? J'invite les spectateurs à donner à ces visuels leur propre histoire, à se transmettre devant ces personnes et à faire ainsi de cette série une véritable entreprise collective.
La serie "From Behind" è stata originariamente concepita con l'obiettivo di dare ai miei soggetti lo stesso anonimato di cui godo come fotografo. È anche una reazione al diffuso uso improprio delle fotografie, che è diventato relativamente facile con l'avvento della fotografia digitale e dei social media.
La fotografia digitale e internet in generale hanno portato molti vantaggi al mio lavoro. Mi piace la precisione che mi offre nella creazione delle immagini. Sono attivo sia su Facebook che su Instagram. Ma la facilità con cui si può abusare della privacy di una persona mi preoccupa ed è quindi uno dei fattori che mi hanno spinto a realizzare questa serie. Si tratta di una scelta personale che ogni fotografo deve fare per se stesso.
Quindi "Da dietro..." Chi sono queste persone, che aspetto hanno, cosa fanno? Sfido gli spettatori a dare a queste immagini la loro storia, a mettersi di fronte a queste persone, rendendo questa serie un vero e proprio lavoro condiviso.
The series "From Behind" was originally conceived with the goal of giving my subjects the same anonymity that I enjoy as a photographer. It is also a reaction of mine to the widespread misuse of photographs, which became relatively easy with the advent of digital photography and the rise of social media.
Digital photography, and the Internet in general, has brought many benefits to my work . I am happy with the precision it offers me in creating images. I am a user of both Facebook and Instagram. But the ease with which a person's privacy can be abused is disturbing to me and thus is one of motivating factors that led me to produce this series. This is a personal choice that every photographer has to decide for themselves.
So "From Behind..." Who are these people, what do they look like, what are they doing? I ask observers to give these images their own story, to place themselves in front of these people, and thus make this series a true shared endeavor.
