EXOGENIC / DEEP DOWN I & II

Die Videoarbeiten Exogenic und Deep Down I & II von Anouk Sebald * 1971, CH entstanden speziell für den Off-Space Juraplatz, in Biel. Das Video Exogenic, wird direkt auf die Scheiben der ehemaligen, in den 30er Jahren, in der Architektur der Bieler Moderne erbauten und mittlerweile denkmalgeschützten Bushaltestelle, projiziert. Die Projektion verbindet so das Äussere des Public Off-Space mit dem inneren Ausstellungsraum, dem ehemaligen Pissoir der Haltestelle. Im Video Exogenic befasst sich Sebald mit den dringlichen und aktuellen Themen des Konsums in Bezug auf Identitäten und der damit verbundenen Identitätskonstruktionen. Glitzer, Glimmer, Reichtum und Fame bilden einen Sehnsuchtsort, der heutzutage mit den aktuellen Social-Media Plattformen und den immer besseren digitalen Mitteln einen kaum vorstellbaren unendlichen Raum bilden.
Im Inneren befindet sich die Installation Deep Down I & II. Die Installation hüllt den Raum ein und lässt die Besucher*Innen visuell und akustisch in das «Innere» eintauchen.
Les œuvres vidéo Exogenic et Deep Down I & II d'Anouk Sebald * 1971, CH ont été créées spécialement pour le Off-Space Juraplatz, à Bienne. La vidéo Exogenic est projetée directement sur les vitres de l'ancien arrêt de bus, construit dans les années 30 dans l'architecture moderne biennoise et désormais classé monument historique. La projection relie ainsi l'extérieur du Public Off-Space à l'espace d'exposition intérieur, l'ancien urinoir de l'arrêt de bus. Dans la vidéo Exogenic, Sebald aborde les thèmes urgents et actuels de la consommation en rapport avec les identités et les constructions identitaires qui y sont liées. Les paillettes, le mica, la richesse et la célébrité forment un lieu de nostalgie qui, de nos jours, avec les plateformes actuelles des médias sociaux et les moyens numériques toujours plus performants, constituent un espace infini à peine imaginable.
À l'intérieur se trouve l'installation Deep Down I & II. L'installation enveloppe l'espace et permet aux visiteurs* de s'immerger visuellement et acoustiquement dans "l'intérieur".
Le opere video Exogenic e Deep Down I & II di Anouk Sebald * 1971, CH sono state create appositamente per l'Off-Space Juraplatz, a Bienne. Il video Exogenic è proiettato direttamente sulle finestre dell'ex fermata dell'autobus, costruita negli anni Trenta secondo l'architettura modernista di Bienne e oggi classificata come edificio storico. La proiezione collega così l'esterno dell'Off-Space pubblico con lo spazio espositivo interno, l'ex orinatoio della fermata dell'autobus. Nel video Exogenic, Sebald affronta le questioni urgenti e attuali del consumo in relazione alle identità e alle costruzioni identitarie ad esse associate. Lo scintillio, il glamour, la ricchezza e la fama formano un luogo di desiderio che oggi, con le attuali piattaforme di social media e i mezzi digitali in continuo miglioramento, forma uno spazio infinito difficile da immaginare.
All'interno si trova l'installazione Deep Down I & II. L'installazione avvolge lo spazio e permette ai visitatori di immergersi visivamente e acusticamente negli "interni".
The video works Exogenic and Deep Down I & II by Anouk Sebald * 1971, CH were created especially for the Off-Space Juraplatz, in Biel. The video Exogenic, is projected directly onto the windows of the former bus stop, built in the 1930s, in the architecture of Biel modernism and now a listed building. The projection thus connects the exterior of the Public Off-Space with the interior exhibition space, the former urinal of the bus stop. In the video Exogenic, Sebald addresses the urgent and current issues of consumption in relation to identities and the identity constructions associated with them. Glitter, glamour, wealth, and fame form a place of longing that nowadays, with current social media platforms and ever-improving digital means, form an almost unimaginable infinite space.
Inside is the installation Deep Down I & II. The installation envelops the space and allows visitors to visually and acoustically immerse themselves in the "inside".
