Für die neue Ausgabe von Photo Esplanade lädt das Schloss Greyerz Christelle Boulé ein, ihr Projekt Botanica zu präsentieren. Inspiriert vom Herbarium des Jardin des Plantes in Montpellier und von dessen jahrhundertealten Pflanzen, erinnert die Fotoserie an beharrlich gepflegte Naturschätze wie an das Verschwinden bestimmter Arten.
Mit ihren Fotogrammen, die von Blättern, Zweigen, Stempeln oder Blütenblättern existie-render oder verschwundener Pflanzen geprägt sind, erfindet die kanadisch-schweizerische Künstlerin einen wunderbaren, zeitlosen Garten. Ihre Kompositionen, ein farbenfrohes Kaleidoskop auf der Schlossesplanade, laden uns zu einer Zeitreise ein und sind eine Hom-mage an die fragilen und manchmal ungreifbaren Wunder der Natur.
Christelle Boulé (geb. 1984), Absolventin der Ecole cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, hat ihre Bilder international ausgestellt und publiziert. Ihre Arbeit wurde vom Fotobookfestival Kassel (2020) ausgezeichnet und erhielt den Grand Prix des Photoforums in Biel (2019) und den PDN Photo Annual (2017).
Pour sa nouvelle édition de Photo Esplanade, le Château de Gruyères invite Christelle Boulé à présenter son projet Botanica. Inspirée par l’herbarium du Jardin des Plantes de Montpellier et ses spécimens végétaux vieux de plusieurs siècles, la série photographique évoque tant les trésors naturels patiemment préservés que la disparition de certaines espèces.
A travers ses photogrammes empreints par les feuilles, branches, pistils ou pétales de plantes existantes ou disparues, l’artiste canado-suisse invente un jardin intemporel et merveilleux. Ses compositions, kaléidoscope coloré sur l’esplanade du château, nous invitent à un voyage dans le temps et rendent hommage aux fragiles et parfois intangibles merveilles de la nature.
Diplômée de l’Ecole cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, Christelle Boulé (1984*) a exposé et publié ses images internationalement. Son travail a été distingué par le Kassel Fotobookfestival (2020), le Grand Prix du Photoforum de Bienne (2019) et le PDN Photo Annual (2017).
Per la nuova edizione di Photo Esplanade, il Château de Gruyères invita Christelle Boulé a presentare il suo progetto Botanica. Ispirata dall'erbario del Jardin des Plantes di Mont-pellier e dalle sue piante secolari, la serie fotografica ricorda sia i tesori naturali persistentemente coltivati che la scomparsa di certe specie.
Con i suoi fotogrammi di foglie, rametti, francobolli o petali di piante esistenti o che stanno scomparendo, l'artista canadese-svizzera inventa un giardino meraviglioso e senza tempo. Le sue composizioni, un ka-leidoscopio colorato sulla planade del castello, ci invitano a un viaggio nel tempo e sono un omaggio alle meraviglie fragili e talvolta intangibili della natura.
Christelle Boulé (nata nel 1984), diplomata all'Ecole cantonale d'Art de Lausanne, ha esposto e pubblicato le sue immagini a livello internazionale. Il suo lavoro è stato premiato dal Fotobookfestival Kassel (2020) e ha ricevuto il Grand Prix del Photoforum di Biel (2019) e il PDN Photo Annual (2017).
For its new Photo Esplanade edition, Gruyères Castle invites Christelle Boulé to show her project Botanica. Inspired by the herbarium of the Jardin des Plantes in Montpellier and its centuries-old plant specimens, the photographic series evokes the patiently preserved natural treasures and the disappearance of the species.
Through her photograms imprinted by leaves, branches, pistils or petals of existing or extinct plants, the Swiss Canadian artist invents a timeless and marvelous garden. Her compositions, a colorful kaleidoscope on the castle’s terrace, invite us to a journey through time and celebrate the fragile and sometimes intangible wonders of nature.
Graduated from the Ecole cantonale d’Art de Lausanne, Christelle Boulé (1984*) has internationally exhibited and published her images. Her work has been distinguished by the Kassel Fotobookfestival (2020), the Grand Prix of Photoforum in Bienne (2019) and the PDN Photo Annual (2017).
