Der Berliner Fotograf Andreas Rost reiste auf Einladung des Goethe-Instituts und des ifa – Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen 2007 zum ersten Mal nach Kabul. Während seiner insgesamt drei Aufenthalte in Afghanistan entstanden unter schwierigsten Bedingungen Fotografien, in denen sich Andreas Rost intuitiv der Situation vor Ort angenähert hat. Seine schwarz-weiß aufgenommenen Bilder, die durch ihre Poesie und ästhetische Anmutung überzeugen, geben uns einen unmittelbaren Eindruck vom alltäglichen Leben in Afghanistan jener Jahre und werfen auch einen Blick auf die vorhandenen patriarchalisch-archaischen Strukturen.
Le photographe berlinois Andreas Rost s'est rendu pour la première fois à Kaboul en 2007, à l'invitation du Goethe-Institut et de l'ifa - Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen. Au cours de ses trois séjours en Afghanistan, Andreas Rost a réalisé des photographies dans des conditions très difficiles, en s'approchant intuitivement de la situation sur place. Ses images en noir et blanc, qui séduisent par leur poésie et leur esthétique, nous donnent une impression immédiate de la vie quotidienne en Afghanistan de ces années-là et jettent également un regard sur les structures patriarcales et archaïques existantes.
Il fotografo berlinese Andreas Rost si è recato per la prima volta a Kabul nel 2007 su invito del Goethe-Institut e dell'ifa - Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen. Durante i suoi tre soggiorni totali in Afghanistan, le fotografie sono state scattate nelle condizioni più difficili, in cui Andreas Rost si è avvicinato intuitivamente alla situazione sul terreno. Le sue foto in bianco e nero, convincenti per la loro poesia e il loro fascino estetico, ci danno un'impressione immediata della vita quotidiana in Afghanistan in quegli anni e danno anche uno sguardo alle strutture patriarcali-arcaiche esistenti.
The Berlin-based photographer Andreas Rost traveled to Kabul for the first time in 2007 at the invitation of the Goethe-Institut and the ifa - Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen. During his total of three stays in Afghanistan, photographs were taken under the most difficult conditions, in which Andreas Rost intuitively approached the situation on the ground. His black-and-white pictures, convincing by their poetry and aesthetic appeal, give us an immediate impression of everyday life in Afghanistan of those years and also cast a glance at the existing patriarchal-archaic structures.
