An der Schnittstelle zwischen spekulativer Biologie und Surrealismus ist Auctus animalis ein erstaunliches Bestiarium, das Geschichte und Antizipation, Erinnerung und Science-Fiction miteinander verbindet. Dieses Kuriositätenkabinett enthüllt eine Sammlung von Kreaturen, die sich im Entstehen befinden: ein Pfau mit einem Exoskelett aus Silber, das mit Diamanten besetzt ist, eine Libelle mit einem lumineszierenden Sensor, der die Luftqualität misst... Von den realen - visuellen und akustischen - Merkmalen jeder Art ausgehend, stellt sich Auctus animalis eine Zukunft vor, die von einer durch Biotechnologie umprogrammierten Natur inspiriert ist. Die musikalische Komposition, die mit dieser Porträtgalerie spielt, bringt hybride Klänge zu Gehör, die mit der Welt dieser Neo-Wesen in Resonanz stehen. Das Projekt Auctus animalis stellt die möglichen neuen Beziehungen zur Natur in unserer Welt von morgen in Frage.
Vincent Fournier ist ein französischer Fotokünstler, dessen Arbeit die Vorstellungswelten der Zukunft erkundet: das Abenteuer im Weltraum, humanoide Roboter, utopische Architekturen, die technologische Transformation des Lebendigen... Er wurde 1970 in Ouagadougou geboren und lebt in Paris. Nach einem doppelten Master in Soziologie und Film erhielt er 1997 sein Diplom an der École Nationale de la Photographie in Arles. Seine Werke sind Teil mehrerer permanenter Sammlungen, darunter: Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET) New York, Centre Pompidou Paris, Fondation Mast Bologna, Dragonfly Collection du Domaine des Etangs in Massignac, LVMH Collection mit Le Bon Marché in Paris, Baccarat Collection New-York, Vontobel Art Collection Zürich, Musée des Ursulines Mâcon, Fondation Bullukian Lyon...
Sébastien Gaxie nahm zunächst Klavierunterricht bei Umberto Guzzo und Chorgesang bei den Petits chanteurs de Saint-Christophe de Javel, mit denen er an zahlreichen Tourneen in Europa teilnahm. Anschließend studierte er Jazzklavier bei Bojan Z sowie an der Arpej-Schule in Paris.
Sein Werkkatalog umfasst etwa 30 Werke, die von Solostücken bis zu Orchesterstücken reichen, wobei er häufig elektronische Instrumente einsetzt. Seine Werke werden von Dirigenten wie Pascal Rophé, Zsolt Nagy, Alain Louvier, Guillaume Bourgogne und Jean Deroyer geleitet und von Musikern wie Médéric Collignon, Claude Barthélemy und Ramon Lopez aufgeführt. Er nimmt an zahlreichen Festivals teil, darunter das Festival Présences von Radio France und Banlieues Bleues. Seine Musik wird in Europa, Thailand und Japan aufgeführt (Uraufführung von Watashi to kotori to suzu to für sechs Frauenstimmen in Tokio 2008).
Au croisement de la biologie spéculative et du surréalisme, Auctus animalis est un étonnant bestiaire associant histoire et anticipation, mémoire et science-fiction. Ce cabinet de curiosités révèle une collection de créatures en voie d’apparition : un paon à l’exosquelette en argent serti de diamants, une libellule dotée d’un capteur luminescent qui mesure la qualité de l’air... Depuis les caractéristiques réelles – visuelles et sonores – de chaque espèce, Auctus animalis imagine un futur inspiré d’une nature reprogrammée par les biotechnologies. La composition musicale qui joue avec cette galerie de portraits donne à entendre des sons hybrides qui résonnent avec l’univers de ces néo-êtres. Le projet Auctus animalis questionne les nouvelles relations possibles avec la nature dans notre monde de demain.
Vincent Fournier est un artiste photographe français dont le travail explore les imaginaires du Futur : l’aventure spatiale, les robots humanoïdes, les architectures utopiques, la transformation technologique du vivant… Il est né en 1970 à Ouagadougou et habite à Paris. Après une double maîtrise en Sociologie et Cinéma il obtient son diplôme de l’École Nationale de la Photographie à Arles en 1997. Sébastien Gaxie suit d’abord des cours de piano avec Umberto Guzzo et de chant choral avec les Petits chanteurs de Saint-Christophe de Javel avec qui il participe à de nombreuses tournées en Europe. Il étudie ensuite le piano jazz auprès de Bojan Z ainsi qu’à l’école Arpej à Paris.
Son catalogue comprend une trentaine d’opus allant de la pièce soliste à la pièce pour orchestre, avec une utilisation fréquente de l’électronique. Ses œuvres sont dirigées par des chefs comme Pascal Rophé, Zsolt Nagy, Alain Louvier, Guillaume Bourgogne, Jean Deroyer et données par des musiciens comme Médéric Collignon, Claude Barthélemy et Ramon Lopez. Il participe à de nombreux festivals, notamment le festival Présences de Radio France et Banlieues Bleues. Sa musique est donnée en Europe, en Thaïlande et au Japon (création de Watashi to kotori to suzu to pour six voix de femmes à Tokyo en 2008).

La composizione musicale che gioca con questa galleria di ritratti dà origine a suoni ibridi che risuonano con l'universo di questi neo-esseri. Il progetto Auctus animalis si interroga sulle nuove possibili relazioni con la natura nel nostro mondo di domani.
