Die Galerie stellt zum ersten Mal die Arbeiten des französischen Fotografen Vincent Bousserez aus.
Seine Werke sind hybride Bilder, Diptychen, wie er sie nennt, in denen Pigmentabzüge und Kohleabzüge auf Glas nebeneinander existieren. Der Künstler schafft so zwei Interpretationen ein und derselben Landschaft, die er zu einem einzigen Bild verschmelzen lässt, als würde er uns die Herstellung der Landschaft in Aktion zeigen.
Die Fotografien von Vincent Bousserez sind mehr als nur Ansichten der Natur, sie sind Teil einer Reflexion über den Status des Bildes und seine Reproduzierbarkeit.
Die Landschaftsfotografie, die vor der wachsenden ökologischen Gefahr warnt, ist eine weit verbreitete Übung in der Fotografie. Doch wo sich Vincent Bousserez' Vorgehen unterscheidet, ist die Kohärenz, die er zwischen dem fotografierten Objekt und der Fotografie selbst als plastischem Objekt zu weben vermag. Der Kohleabzug auf Glas, ein Verfahren, das auf die Frühzeit der Fotografie zurückgeht, wird so zum spektralen Doppelgänger der gerahmten Landschaft. Diese Überlagerung bildet die Erinnerungsschichten der Landschaft.
Mit seiner Serie Altered, was so viel wie "verändert" bedeutet, stellt Vincent Bousserez die Frage nach der Landschaft als Erfindung unseres Blicks, als Ort, der von bereits assimilierten Bildern besetzt ist.

Ses oeuvres sont des images hybrides, des diptyques comme il les appelle, dans lesquelles cohabitent tirage pigmentaire et tirage au carbon sur verre. L’artiste crée ainsi deux interprétations d’un même paysage qu’il fusionne afin de ne créer qu’une seule et même image, comme s'il nous donnait à voir la fabrication en acte de celui-ci.
Plus que des points de vue sur la nature, les photographies de Vincent Bousserez participent d’une réflexion sur le statut de l’image et sa reproductibilité.
La photographie de paysage qui alerte sur le péril écologique grandissant est un exercice très répandu en photographie. Mais là où la démarche de Vincent Bousserez se distingue c’est dans la cohérence qu’il réussit à tisser entre l’objet photographié et la photographie elle-même en tant qu’objet plastique. Le tirage au charbon sur verre, un procédé qui remonte aux premiers temps de la photographie, devient alors le double spectral du paysage encadré. Cette superposition constitue les couches mémorielles du paysage.
À travers sa série Altered, qui signifie « altéré », Vincent Bousserez pose ainsi la question du paysage en tant qu’invention de notre regard, comme lieu investi d’images déjà assimilées.

Le sue opere sono immagini ibride, o dittici come li chiama lui, in cui coesistono stampe a pigmento e stampe al carbonio su vetro. In questo modo, l'artista crea due interpretazioni dello stesso paesaggio, che poi fonde per creare un'unica immagine, come se ci mostrasse la realizzazione del paesaggio in azione.
Più che semplici punti di vista sulla natura, le fotografie di Vincent Bousserez sono parte di una riflessione sullo statuto dell'immagine e sulla sua riproducibilità.
La fotografia di paesaggio, che avverte del crescente pericolo ecologico, è un esercizio molto comune nella fotografia. Ma l'approccio di Vincent Bousserez si distingue per la coerenza che riesce a creare tra l'oggetto fotografato e la fotografia stessa come oggetto plastico. La stampa a carboncino su vetro, un processo che risale agli albori della fotografia, diventa il doppio spettrale del paesaggio incorniciato. Questa sovrapposizione costituisce gli strati memoriali del paesaggio.
Attraverso la serie Altered, Vincent Bousserez solleva la questione del paesaggio come invenzione del nostro sguardo, un luogo investito da immagini già assimilate.
The gallery is exhibiting the work of French photographer Vincent Bousserez for the first time.
His photographs are hybrid images, or diptychs as he calls them, in which pigment prints and carbon prints on glass coexist. In this way, the artist creates two interpretations of the same landscape, which he merges to create a single image, as if he were showing us the making of the landscape in action.

However, Vincent Bousserez's approach stands out due to his remarkable ability to unify the subject of the photograph with the photograph itself, creating a cohesive artistic entity. By utilizing the charcoal print on glass technique, an ancient photographic process, he effectively transforms the framed landscape into a haunting mirror image, emphasizing the connection between the image and its tangible form.
Through his Altered series, Vincent Bousserez raises the question of landscape as an invention of our gaze, a place invested with images that have already been assimilated.
