Die Schärfe der Unschärfe hiess 1998 die Eröffnungsausstellung des neuen Konservators. 24 Jahre später endet seine Amtszeit mit der Präsentation Tiefenschärfe. Sie vereint Kunstwerke, bei denen viele Motive gestochen scharf auftreten. Ob sich damit die erhoffte Klarheit einstellt, ist fraglich. Viele Exponate lassen sich auf die Tradition des Trompe-l’oeil beziehen, auf die Kunst des Augentrugs. Ihre Künstlerinnen und Künstler täuschen mit allen Mitteln der Verführung.
Tiefenschärfe legt den Schwerpunkt auf die Gegenwartskunst. Generationen- und medienübergreifend zeigen Kunstschaffende wie Franz Gertsch (*1930), Simone Kappeler (*1952), Bernard Voïta (*1960) oder das Künstlerduo Taiyo Onorato (*1979) & Nico Krebs (*1979) unterschiedliche Formen des Wirklichkeitsbezugs. Mit Sofia Hultén (*1972) oder Friederike Feldmann (*1962), die für die Ausstellung eine raumbezogene Wandmalerei realisiert, sind auch internationale Positionen vertreten. Bei der formalen Schärfe der Exponate kommen zum philosophischen Spiel der Täuschung auch Ernst und Schrecken, die aus der Konfrontation mit unterschiedlichen Zeit- und Weltbildern wachsen können.

L'acuité du flou était le titre de l'exposition inaugurale du nouveau conservateur en 1998. Vingt-quatre ans plus tard, son mandat s'achève avec la présentation Tiefenschärfe. Elle réunit des œuvres d'art dans lesquelles de nombreux motifs apparaissent très nets. Il n'est pas certain que la clarté espérée soit au rendez-vous. De nombreuses pièces exposées se réfèrent à la tradition du trompe-l'œil, à l'art de tromper l'œil. Ses artistes trompent par tous les moyens de la séduction.
Tiefenschärfe met l'accent sur l'art contemporain. Toutes générations et tous médias confondus, des artistes comme Franz Gertsch (*1930), Simone Kappeler (*1952), Bernard Voïta (*1960) ou le duo d'artistes Taiyo Onorato (*1979) & Nico Krebs (*1979) montrent différentes formes de rapport à la réalité. Avec Sofia Hultén (*1972) ou Friederike Feldmann (*1962), qui réalise pour l'exposition une peinture murale liée à l'espace, des positions internationales sont également représentées. Avec l'acuité formelle des pièces exposées, le sérieux et l'effroi qui peuvent naître de la confrontation avec différentes visions du temps et du monde s'ajoutent au jeu philosophique de l'illusion.

La nitidezza della sfocatura era il titolo della mostra inaugurale del nuovo curatore nel 1998. 24 anni dopo, il suo mandato si conclude con la presentazione Depth of Focus. Riunisce opere d'arte in cui molti motivi appaiono affilati come rasoi. Se questo porterà la chiarezza sperata è discutibile. Molte mostre possono essere collegate alla tradizione del trompe-l'oeil, l'arte dell'occhio. I loro artisti ingannano con tutti i mezzi di seduzione.
Tiefenschärfe si concentra sull'arte contemporanea. Attraverso le generazioni e i media, artisti come Franz Gertsch (*1930), Simone Kappeler (*1952), Bernard Voïta (*1960) o il duo di artisti Taiyo Onorato (*1979) & Nico Krebs (*1979) mostrano diverse forme di riferimento alla realtà. The Sharpness of Blur was the name of the new curator's inaugural exhibition in 1998. 24 years later, his tenure ends with the presentation Tiefenschärfe. It brings together works of art in which many motifs appear razor-sharp. Whether this will bring about the clarity hoped for is questionable. Many of the exhibits can be related to the tradition of trompe-l'oeil, the art of deceiving the eye. Their artists deceive with all means of seduction.
