Die installativ auf die Museumsräume des Museums für Photographie hin konzipierte Ausstellung stellt das fotografische und auch medienübergreifende Werk von Morgaine Schäfer (*1989) vor. Die in Wolfsburg geborene und dort auch aufgewachsene Künstlerin setzt sich in ihrer konzeptuell künstlerischen Arbeit in unterschiedlichen thematischen Schwerpunkten mit ihrem Familienbildarchiv und Aspekten der weiblichen Identität auseinander.
Autobiografisch und dabei gleichzeitig auch stellvertretend erscheint der Blick auf Aspekte der weiblichen Identität mit kulturell und historisch determinierten Bezügen zur Familiengeschichte vergegenwärtigt, um auch kritische Aspekte von Rollenmustern vorzustellen.
L'exposition, conçue comme une installation dans les salles du Museum für Photographie, transmet l'œuvre photographique et plurimédia de Morgaine Schäfer (*1989). Dans son travail artistique conceptuel, l'artiste, née et ayant grandi à Wolfsburg, se penche sur ses archives de photos de famille et sur les aspects de l'identité féminine en se concentrant sur différents thèmes.
De manière autobiographique et en même temps représentative, le regard sur les aspects de l'identité féminine apparaît avec des références culturelles et historiques déterminées à l'histoire familiale, afin de présenter également des aspects critiques des modèles de rôles.
La mostra, concepita come un'installazione negli spazi museali del Museum für Photographie, presenta il lavoro fotografico e crossmediale di Morgaine Schäfer (*1989). Nel suo lavoro artistico concettuale, l'artista, nata e cresciuta a Wolfsburg, affronta l'archivio fotografico di famiglia e gli aspetti dell'identità femminile in diversi focus tematici.
In modo autobiografico e allo stesso tempo rappresentativo, la visione degli aspetti dell'identità femminile con riferimenti culturalmente e storicamente determinati alla storia familiare appare visualizzata per presentare anche aspetti critici dei modelli di ruolo.
The exhibition, conceived as an installation in the Museum für Photgraphie, presents the photographic and cross-media work of Morgaine Schäfer (*1989). The artist, who was born and raised in Wolfsburg (Germany) and today lives in Düsseldorf (Germany) explores her family photo archive and aspects of female identity in her conceptually artistic work with different thematic focuses.
Autobiographical and at the same time also representative, the view of aspects of female identity with culturally and historically determined references to family history appears visualized in order to also present critical aspects of role patterns.
