Nebelgranaten im Hochmoor

Wer am frühen Morgen leise über das Hochmoor „schwebt“, erlebt ein einzigartiges Naturschauspiel. In dem sanft tanzenden Bodennebel verwandelt sich die Landschaft in ein wahres Märchen. Und wenn die Sonne ihre ersten Strahlen darüberlegt, hüllt sich der Tag in ein bezauberndes Morgenkleid.
Dass diese Idylle heute noch existiert, ist nur der «Initiative zum Schutz der Moore –Rothenthurm-Initiative» zu verdanken. Vor 35 Jahren kam es zu der legendären Volksabstimmung, die den Erhalt dieser Natur durchsetzen konnte.
Damals plante das Militär (EMD), unterstützt von der mitte-rechts Politik, das Hochmoor Rothenthurm in einen Waffenplatz umzugestalten. Es entwickelte sich eine erbitterte Kontroverse, inklusive der Androhungen einer Landesenteignung. Dank dem aufopfernden Engagement der einheimischen Bevölkerung, der linken Politik und dem WWF konnte dieser Plan verhindert werden.
Es gibt heute keine Schüsse im Nebel, sondern nur das gedämpfte Dröhnen des Traktors, wenn der ortsansässige Bauer seiner Arbeit nachgeht. So ganz nebenbei frage ich mich ab und zu, wie man bei so häufigem Nebel überhaupt Schiessübungen durchführen kann? Zumindest Nebelgranaten hätte sich das EMD sparen können.
Celui qui "plane" doucement au-dessus du haut-marais au petit matin assiste à un spectacle naturel unique. Dans la brume au sol qui danse doucement, le paysage se transforme en un véritable conte de fées. Et lorsque le soleil y dépose ses premiers rayons, le jour s'enveloppe d'une robe matinale enchanteresse.
Si cette idylle existe encore aujourd'hui, c'est uniquement grâce à l'"Initiative pour la protection des marais - Initiative Rothenthurm". Il y a 35 ans, la légendaire votation populaire a permis d'imposer la préservation de cette nature.
A l'époque, l'armée (DMF), soutenue par les politiques de centre-droit, prévoyait de transformer le haut-marais de Rothenthurm en place d'armes. Une controverse acharnée s'est développée, y compris des menaces d'expropriation des terres. Grâce à l'engagement sacrificiel de la population locale, de la politique de gauche et du WWF, ce plan a pu être empêché.
Aujourd'hui, il n'y a pas de coups de feu dans le brouillard, mais seulement le vrombissement étouffé du tracteur lorsque le paysan local vaque à ses occupations. D'ailleurs, je me demande de temps en temps comment il est possible d'organiser des exercices de tir dans un brouillard aussi fréquent ? Le DMF aurait au moins pu faire l'économie de grenades fumigènes.
Se "galleggiate" tranquillamente sulla brughiera alta al mattino presto, vivrete uno spettacolo naturale unico. Nella nebbia di terra che danza dolcemente, il paesaggio si trasforma in una vera e propria favola. E quando il sole posa i suoi primi raggi su di essa, il giorno si avvolge in un incantevole abito mattutino.
Il fatto che questo idillio esista ancora oggi è solo merito dell'"Iniziativa per la protezione della brughiera - Iniziativa Rothenthurm". Trentacinque anni fa si tenne il leggendario referendum per garantire la conservazione di questo ambiente naturale.
All'epoca, l'esercito (EMD), sostenuto da politici di centro-destra, progettava di convertire la torbiera alta di Rothenthurm in un'area di addestramento militare. Si sviluppò un'aspra controversia, con minacce di esproprio dei terreni. Grazie all'impegno di autosacrificio della popolazione locale, dei politici di sinistra e del WWF, questo piano è stato impedito.
Oggi non si sentono spari nella nebbia, ma solo il rombo ovattato del trattore del contadino locale. A parte questo, di tanto in tanto mi chiedo come sia possibile condurre esercitazioni di tiro con una nebbia così frequente. Come minimo, l'EMD avrebbe potuto risparmiarsi le granate di nebbia.
If you "float" quietly over the high moor in the early morning, you will experience a unique natural spectacle. In the gently dancing ground fog, the landscape transforms into a true fairy tale. And when the sun lays its first rays over it, the day wraps itself in an enchanting morning dress.
The fact that this idyll still exists today is only thanks to the "Initiative for the Protection of the Moors -Rothenthurm Initiative". 35 years ago the legendary referendum took place, which could enforce the preservation of this nature.

A bitter controversy developed, including threats of land expropriation. Thanks to the self-sacrificing commitment of the local population, left-wing politicians and the WWF, this plan was prevented.
There are no shots in the mist today, only the muffled roar of the tractor as the local farmer goes about his work. As an aside, I wonder from time to time how firing exercises can be conducted at all in such frequent fog? At least the EMD could have saved itself fog grenades.
