Die Galerie Milchhütte lädt ein zu einer Ausstellung mit Werken von André Roth. Fotografische Tagträume entführt die Besucher*innen in eine poetisch verzauberte und entrückte Sinneswelt, während damals in der realen Welt die Zeit im ersten Lockdown verharrte. Die Fotografien sind subtile bis zur Abstraktion übersetzte Stimmungskompositionen von gestalterisch überzeugender Ästhetik, welche Raum lassen für Imagination.
Seit nunmehr 26 Jahren arbeitet André Roth (*1961) als freischaffender Fotograf. Zwei Monate vor der Pandemie begründete er in einer 3,5-Zimmer-Wohnung sein Home-Office – und stellte das Zuhause und den umliegenden Park ins Zentrum einer künstlerischen Serie. Rund 80 Bilder sind im Corona bedingten Stillstand entstanden; allesamt Liebeserklärung an seinen Fluchtort.
Die Aufnahmen wirken wie fotografische Tagträume. Ein Sonnenstrahl, der kurz durch das Fenster fällt; ein Kabel, das lose vor einer weissen Wand hängt; das Spiel zwischen drinnen und draussen: allesamt intime Momentaufnahmen, die Zeit und Aufmerksamkeit bedürfen. André Roth ist nicht am eigentlichen Sujet interessiert, für ihn sind Stimmungen, die Auseinandersetzung mit dem Ort und das Spiel mit Tiefe, Schärfe, Unschärfe und dem Licht weit wichtiger.

Rêves éveillés photographiques transporte les visiteurs* dans un monde sensoriel poétiquement enchanté et enlevé, alors qu'à l'époque, dans le monde réel, le temps était figé dans le premier lockdown. Les photographies sont des compositions d'ambiance subtiles, traduites jusqu'à l'abstraction, à l'esthétique convaincante, qui laissent place à l'imagination.
André Roth (*1961) travaille depuis 26 ans en tant que photographe indépendant. Deux mois avant la pandémie, il a créé son home-office dans un appartement de 3,5 pièces - et a placé son domicile et le parc environnant au centre d'une série artistique. Environ 80 photos ont été réalisées dans l'immobilité due à la maladie de Corona ; toutes sont des déclarations d'amour à son lieu de fuite.
Les clichés ressemblent à des rêves éveillés photographiques. Un rayon de soleil qui passe brièvement à travers la fenêtre ; un câble qui pend vaguement devant un mur blanc ; le jeu entre l'intérieur et l'extérieur : autant d'instantanés intimes qui nécessitent du temps et de l'attention. André Roth ne s'intéresse pas au sujet à proprement parler, pour lui, les ambiances, la confrontation avec le lieu et le jeu avec la profondeur, la netteté, le flou et la lumière sont bien plus importants.

Photographic Daydreams trasporta i visitatori in un mondo dei sensi poeticamente incantato e rapito, mentre allora nel mondo reale il tempo era bloccato nel primo blocco. Le fotografie sono sottili composizioni d'atmosfera, tradotte in astrazione, con un'estetica convincente che lascia spazio all'immaginazione.
André Roth (*1961) lavora come fotografo freelance da 26 anni. Due mesi prima della pandemia, ha allestito il suo studio in un appartamento di 3,5 stanze - e ha messo la casa e il parco circostante al centro di una serie artistica. Circa 80 quadri sono stati creati durante il blocco indotto da Corona; tutte dichiarazioni d'amore per il suo luogo di fuga.
Le fotografie sembrano sogni fotografici ad occhi aperti. Un raggio di sole che cade brevemente dalla finestra; un cavo che pende allentato di fronte a un muro bianco; l'interazione tra interno ed esterno: tutte istantanee intime che richiedono tempo e attenzione. André Roth non è interessato al soggetto reale; per lui sono molto più importanti gli stati d'animo, l'impegno con il luogo e il gioco con la profondità, la nitidezza, la sfocatura e la luce.

Photographic Daydreams transports visitors into a poetically enchanted and enraptured sensory world, while at that time in the real world time remained in the first lockdown. The photographs are subtle mood compositions of convincing aesthetics, translated to abstraction, which leave room for imagination.
André Roth (*1961) has been working as a freelance photographer for 26 years now. Two months before the pandemic, he set up his home office in a 3.5-room apartment - and placed the home and the surrounding park at the center of an artistic series. Around 80 pictures were created in the Corona-conditioned standstill; all of them declarations of love for his place of escape.
The shots seem like photographic daydreams. A ray of sunlight briefly falling through the window; a cable hanging loosely in front of a white wall; the interplay between indoors and outdoors: all intimate snapshots that require time and attention. André Roth is not interested in the actual subject; for him, moods, the engagement with the place, and the play with depth, sharpness, blurriness, and the light are far more important.
