European Trails. Europäische Fotokünstlerinnen der Gegenwart

"European Trails" zeigt europäische Fotografinnen und Künstlerinnen, die mit Fotografie arbeiten. Dabei geht es zentral um Fragen von Herkunft, Erinnerung und Identität. Die persönliche eigene Geschichte und deren Überlagerung und künstlerische Transzendierung in die jeweils aktuellen sozialen und politischen Zustände werden zum Spiegel einer wesentlichen Auseinandersetzung mit Machtverhältnissen zwischen Individuen, wie im gesellschaftlichen Raum insgesamt. In eindrucksvollen fotografischen Bildern und raumbezogen-installativen Arbeiten stellt die Ausstellung Werke herausragender zeitgenössischer Künstlerinnen vor, deren Konzeptionen maßgebliche Beiträge einer in Europa sich vollziehenden Debatte darstellen.
"European Trails" présente des photographes et des artistes européens qui travaillent avec la photographie. Il s'agit essentiellement de questions d'origine, de mémoire et d'identité. La propre histoire personnelle, sa superposition et sa transcendance artistique dans les conditions sociales et politiques actuelles deviennent le miroir d'une confrontation essentielle avec les rapports de pouvoir entre les individus, ainsi que dans l'espace social en général. L'exposition présente, sous forme d'images photographiques impressionnantes et d'installations spatiales, des œuvres d'artistes contemporaines exceptionnelles dont les conceptions constituent des contributions déterminantes à un débat en cours en Europe.
"European Trails" mostra le fotografe e le artiste europee che lavorano con la fotografia. L'attenzione si concentra su questioni di origine, memoria e identità. La loro storia personale e la sua sovrapposizione e trascendenza artistica nelle rispettive condizioni sociali e politiche attuali diventano lo specchio di un confronto essenziale con le relazioni di potere tra gli individui, così come nello spazio sociale nel suo complesso. In impressionanti immagini fotografiche e opere di installazione legate allo spazio, la mostra presenta opere di eccezionali artiste contemporanee i cui concetti rappresentano contributi significativi a un dibattito in corso in Europa.
"European Trails" resents European woman photographers as well as woman artists working with photography. Essentially, the exhibition concerns with questions of origin, memory and
identity. The own personal history and its transfer and artistic transcending into current social and political situations become a mirror of a general discussion about conditions of living and
balance of power between individuals as well as in society as a whole. With strong photographic images and installations, the exhibition presents works of outstanding contemporary woman
artists, whose conceptions are significant contributions to a contemporary debate in and about Europe.
