Kaspar Ruoff
Vögel im Flug beschäftigen den Fotografen Kaspar Ruoff schon seit vielen Jahren. Fasziniert beobachtet er ihr rastloses Schwärmen, die Rhythmen und Muster ihrer Formationen, das wirbelnde Durcheinander, bevor sie sich zu neuer Ordnung finden und weiterziehen. Die Wahl der Schwarzweiss-Fotografie ermöglicht durch die Reduktion der Farbe und die Abstraktion eine klare Bildstruktur und unterstreicht die Rhythmik der Vogel-Formationen. In seinen Bildern versucht Kaspar Ruoff, in der Bewegung oder den Muster und Rhythmen das Wesenhafte einer bestimmten Vogelart zu erfassen. Es geht ihm nicht um das reine Abbilden der Natur, sondern um das fotografische Abstrahieren und Herausschälen einer bestimmten Bewegung, eines charakteristischen Flugstils. Dass die Bilder dabei nicht statisch wirken, sondern das Gefühl der Leichtigkeit und der Dynamik des Fliegens transportieren, ist dem Fotografen ein grosses Anliegen.
Der Vogelflug in seiner erstaunlichen Vielfalt und seiner möglichen Zeichenhaftigkeit ist aktuell eines der zentralen fotografischen Themen von Kaspar Ruoff. Angefangen mit Alpendohlen, Mauerseglern und Bergfinken, hat der Künstler die Thematik inzwischen mit vielen Vogelarten, die er weltweit an verschiedenen Orten fotografiert hat, weiterverfolgt und auch auf Insektenschwärme ausgedehnt.
In der Ausstellung zeigt er Bilder von Kranichen auf ihrem Herbstzug am Lac du Der (F) in der südlichen Champagne. Die Aufnahmen entstanden bei nebligen Verhältnissen kurz vor Sonnenaufgang.
Kaspar Ruoff *1974, aufgewachsen in Zürich. Nach seinem Studium der Imkereiwissenschaften an der Universität Helsinki, promovierte er im Bereich der Lebensmittelchemie an der ETH Zürich. Seit 2006 ist er als freischaffender Fotograf im eigenen Atelier in Brugg tätig. Diverse Ausstellungen in der Schweiz und in Finnland.
Les oiseaux en vol occupent le photographe Kaspar Ruoff depuis de nombreuses années. Il observe avec fascination leur vol incessant, les rythmes et les motifs de leurs formations, le désordre tourbillonnant avant qu'ils ne retrouvent un nouvel ordre et poursuivent leur route. Le choix de la photographie en noir et blanc permet, grâce à la réduction de la couleur et à l'abstraction, d'obtenir une structure d'image claire et de souligner le rythme des formations d'oiseaux. Dans ses images, Kaspar Ruoff tente de saisir l'essence d'une espèce d'oiseau particulière dans le mouvement ou les motifs et les rythmes. Il ne s'agit pas pour lui de reproduire purement et simplement la nature, mais d'abstraire et d'extraire par la photographie un mouvement particulier, un style de vol caractéristique. Le photographe tient à ce que les images ne soient pas statiques, mais qu'elles transmettent le sentiment de légèreté et de dynamisme du vol.
Le vol des oiseaux, dans son étonnante diversité et sa possible valeur symbolique, est actuellement l'un des principaux thèmes photographiques de Kaspar Ruoff. Après avoir commencé par les choucas des Alpes, les martinets noirs et les pinsons des montagnes, l'artiste a poursuivi cette thématique avec de nombreuses espèces d'oiseaux qu'il a photographiées en différents endroits du monde et l'a étendue aux essaims d'insectes.
Dans l'exposition, il présente des images de grues lors de leur migration automnale au lac du Der (F), dans le sud de la Champagne. Les photos ont été prises dans des conditions brumeuses, peu avant le lever du soleil.
Kaspar Ruoff *1974, a grandi à Zurich. Après des études d'apiculture à l'université d'Helsinki, il a obtenu un doctorat en chimie alimentaire à l'EPF de Zurich. Depuis 2006, il travaille comme photographe indépendant dans son propre atelier à Brugg. Diverses expositions en Suisse et en Finlande.
Gli uccelli in volo hanno occupato il fotografo Kaspar Ruoff per molti anni. Affascinato, osserva il loro brulichio irrequieto, i ritmi e i modelli delle loro formazioni, la confusione vorticosa prima che trovino un nuovo ordine e si spostino. La scelta della fotografia in bianco e nero permette una chiara struttura pittorica attraverso la riduzione del colore e l'astrazione e sottolinea il ritmo delle formazioni di uccelli. Nelle sue immagini, Kaspar Ruoff cerca di catturare l'essenza di una particolare specie di uccelli nel suo movimento o nei suoi modelli e ritmi. Non si occupa della pura rappresentazione della natura, ma dell'astrazione fotografica e dell'estrazione di un certo movimento, uno stile caratteristico di volo. È una grande preoccupazione del fotografo che le immagini non appaiano statiche, ma che trasmettano la sensazione di leggerezza e dinamica del volo.
Il volo degli uccelli nella sua sorprendente diversità e nel suo possibile simbolismo è attualmente uno dei temi fotografici centrali di Kaspar Ruoff. Iniziando con taccole alpine, rondoni e peppole, l'artista ha poi proseguito il tema con molte specie di uccelli che ha fotografato in varie località del mondo, e lo ha esteso anche a sciami di insetti.
Nella mostra, mostra immagini di gru durante la loro migrazione autunnale al Lac du Der (F) nel sud della Champagne. Le fotografie sono state scattate in condizioni di nebbia poco prima dell'alba.
Kaspar Ruoff *1974, è cresciuto a Zurigo. Dopo aver studiato scienza dell'apicoltura all'Università di Helsinki, ha completato il suo dottorato in chimica alimentare all'ETH di Zurigo. Dal 2006 lavora come fotografo freelance nel suo studio a Brugg. Varie mostre in Svizzera e Finlandia.
Birds in flight have occupied photographer Kaspar Ruoff for many years. Fascinated, he observes their restless swarming, the rhythms and patterns of their formations, the swirling confusion before they find new order and move on. The choice of black and white photography, through the reduction of color and abstraction, allows for a clear pictorial structure and emphasizes the rhythm of the bird formations. In his pictures Kaspar Ruoff tries to capture the essence of a particular bird species in its movement or patterns and rhythms. He is not concerned with the pure depiction of nature, but with the photographic abstraction and extraction of a certain movement, a characteristic style of flight. It is a great concern of the photographer that the pictures do not appear static, but convey the feeling of lightness and dynamics of flight.
Bird flight in its astonishing diversity and possible symbolism is currently one of Kaspar Ruoff's central photographic themes. Beginning with alpine choughs, swifts, and bramblings, the artist has since pursued the theme with many species of birds that he has photographed in various locations around the world, and has also extended it to swarms of insects.
In the exhibition he shows images of cranes on their autumn migration at Lac du Der (F) in southern Champagne. The photographs were taken in foggy conditions shortly before sunrise.
Kaspar Ruoff *1974, grew up in Zurich. After studying apicultural science at the University of Helsinki, he earned a PhD in food chemistry at ETH Zurich. Since 2006 he has been working as a freelance photographer in his own studio in Brugg. Various exhibitions in Switzerland and Finland.
