In «Black Cotton Candy» ergänzen die Fotografinnen Gabi Vogt und Anne Gabriel-Jürgens ihre Perspektiven zu einem kraftvollen Porträt des Erwachsenwerdens. Unabhängig voneinander sind sie in ihren Langzeit-Buchprojekten den Themen Coming of Age und Aufwachsen in der aktuellen Zeit nachgegangen. Erstmals präsentieren sie gemeinsam Fotografien aus ihren Büchern in einer Ausstellung.

Die Arbeit «Ich. Jetzt.» von Gabi Vogt gibt Einblick in die Gedankenwelt von Jugendlichen im Alter zwischen 13 und 20 Jahren. Welche Ziele, Wünsche, Träume haben sie? Wovor haben sie Angst oder Respekt? Wie fühlen sich junge Menschen hier und jetzt? Entstanden ist ein eindrückliches Zeitdokument in Bild und Text. Die Porträts, ungeschminkt und authentisch, zeigen die vielfältigen Emotionen und Gedanken der Jugendlichen und laden ein, in ihre Geschichten einzutauchen.

Parallel dazu beleuchtet Anne Gabriel-Jürgens ihre persönliche Beziehung zu ihrer Stieftochter Zoe. Seit 2009 dokumentiert sie Zoes Weg vom Kind zur jungen Erwachsenen. Die Fotografien, unter dem Titel «Viel Glück zum Muttertag», erzählen poetisch und märchenhaft von den Herausforderungen des Erwachsenwerdens in der Generation Z und von den emotionalen Kämpfen innerhalb einer modernen Familie. Anne Gabriel-Jürgens thematisiert die Suche nach Identität und Zugehörigkeit und stellt die Frage: Was ist eine Familie?

«Black Cotton Candy» – eine Anspielung auf gegensätzliche Gefühle beim Heranwachsen – zeigt berührende Momentaufnahmen des Jungseins. Die Gemeinschaftsausstellung erzählt von vielfachen Anliegen und Bedürfnissen und gibt Einblick in familiäre Bindungen.

Dans « Black Cotton Candy », les photographes Gabi Vogt et Anne Gabriel-Jürgens complètent leurs perspectives pour dresser un portrait puissant du passage à l'âge adulte. Indépendamment l'une de l'autre, elles se sont penchées sur les thèmes du coming of age et du grandir dans la période actuelle dans le cadre de leurs projets de livres à long terme. Pour la première fois, ils présentent ensemble des photographies tirées de leurs livres dans une exposition.

Le travail « Ich. Jetzt. » de Gabi Vogt donne un aperçu du monde des pensées des jeunes âgés de 13 à 20 ans. Quels sont leurs objectifs, leurs souhaits, leurs rêves ? Que craignent-ils ou respectent-ils ? Comment les jeunes se sentent-ils ici et maintenant ? Il en résulte un document d'époque impressionnant en images et en textes. Les portraits, sans fard et authentiques, montrent les multiples émotions et pensées des jeunes et invitent à se plonger dans leurs histoires.

Parallèlement, Anne Gabriel-Jürgens met en lumière sa relation personnelle avec sa belle-fille Zoé. Depuis 2009, elle documente le parcours de Zoé de l'enfant à la jeune adulte. Les photographies, sous le titre « Bonne chance pour la fête des mères », racontent de manière poétique et féerique les défis du passage à l'âge adulte dans la génération Z et les luttes émotionnelles au sein d'une famille moderne. Anne Gabriel-Jürgens thématise la recherche d'identité et d'appartenance et pose la question : qu'est-ce qu'une famille ?

« Black Cotton Candy » - une allusion aux sentiments contradictoires de l'adolescence - montre des instantanés touchants de la jeunesse. L'exposition collective parle de préoccupations et de besoins multiples et donne un aperçu des liens familiaux.

In “Black Cotton Candy”, le fotografe Gabi Vogt e Anne Gabriel-Jürgens uniscono le loro prospettive per creare un potente ritratto della crescita. Indipendentemente l'una dall'altra, hanno esplorato i temi della maturità e della crescita nel presente nei loro progetti di libri a lungo termine. Per la prima volta, presentano insieme le fotografie dei loro libri in una mostra.

L'opera “Me. Now.” di Gabi Vogt offre uno sguardo sui pensieri dei giovani tra i 13 e i 20 anni. Quali obiettivi, desideri e sogni hanno? Cosa temono o rispettano? Come si sentono i giovani qui e ora? Il risultato è un impressionante documento contemporaneo in immagini e testi. I ritratti, non crudi e autentici, mostrano le diverse emozioni e i pensieri dei giovani e invitano a immergersi nelle loro storie.

Allo stesso tempo, Anne Gabriel-Jürgens fa luce sul suo rapporto personale con la figliastra Zoe. Dal 2009 documenta il viaggio di Zoe da bambina a giovane adulta. Le fotografie, intitolate “Viel Glück zum Muttertag” (Buona fortuna per la festa della mamma), raccontano una storia poetica e fiabesca sulle sfide della crescita nella Generazione Z e sulle lotte emotive all'interno di una famiglia moderna. Anne Gabriel-Jürgens tematizza la ricerca di identità e di appartenenza e pone la domanda: che cos'è una famiglia?

“Black Cotton Candy” - un'allusione ai sentimenti contrastanti della crescita - mostra toccanti istantanee della giovinezza. La mostra congiunta racconta di molteplici preoccupazioni ed esigenze e fornisce una visione dei legami familiari.

In ‘Black Cotton Candy’, photographers Gabi Vogt and Anne Gabriel-Jürgens combine their perspectives to create a powerful portrait of growing up. Independently of each other, they have been exploring the themes of coming of age and growing up in the current era in their long-term book projects. For the first time, they are presenting photographs from their books together in an exhibition.

Gabi Vogt's work ‘Me. Now.’ provides insights into the minds of young people between the ages of 13 and 20. What are their goals, desires, dreams? What are they afraid of or respect? How do young people feel here and now? The result is an impressive contemporary document in image and text. The unvarnished and authentic portraits show the young people's wide range of emotions and thoughts and invite the reader to delve into their stories.

At the same time, Anne Gabriel-Jürgens sheds light on her personal relationship with her stepdaughter Zoe. Since 2009, she has been documenting Zoe's journey from child to young adult. The photographs, entitled ‘Happy Mother's Day’, tell a poetic and fairytale-like story of the challenges of growing up in Generation Z and the emotional struggles within a modern family. Anne Gabriel-Jürgens addresses the search for identity and belonging and asks the question: What is a family?

‘Black Cotton Candy’ – an allusion to the contrasting feelings of growing up – shows touching snapshots of being young. The group exhibition tells of multiple concerns and needs and provides insight into family ties.
