Anlässlich des 10-jährigen Bestehens des BPM vereint diese Ausstellung im öffentlichen Raum 10 Fotografen, die seit 2013 an den verschiedenen Ausgaben des Festivals teilgenommen haben. Die Auswahl zeigt eine Vielfalt an fotografischen Ansätzen, doch alle Fotografen zeugen von einem sensiblen, zugleich poetischen und politischen Zugang zur zeitgenössischen Welt. Der rote Faden der ausgestellten Fotografien ist die Frage nach der Möglichkeit oder Unmöglichkeit, die durch menschliche Aktivitäten veränderte Welt zu bewohnen. Janine Bächle, Céline Clanet und Paul Gaffney fragen sich, wie man in Harmonie mit der Natur leben kann. Rebecca Topakian, Michel François, Christophe Bourguedieu, Nathalie Wolff & Matthias Bumiller hinterfragen die postkapitalistische Gesellschaft, ihre Grenzen und ihre Widersprüche. Die eher intimen Matthew Genitempo und Pascal Amoyel fotografieren ihre Angehörigen in einer Beziehung zum Lebensraum. Geert Goiris schließlich veranschaulicht eine grundlegende Spannung zwischen Mensch und Natur.
À l’occasion des 10 ans de la BPM, cette exposition dans l’espace public réunit 10 photographes ayant participé aux différentes éditions du festival depuis 2013. La sélection montre une diversité d’approches photographiques, mais tous les photographes témoignent d’une approche sensible, à la fois poétique et politique du monde contemporain. Le fil conducteur des photographies exposées est le questionnement sur la possibilité ou l’impossibilité d’habiter le monde transformé par l’activité humaine. Janine Bächle, Céline Clanet et Paul Gaffney se questionnent sur les moyens de vivre en harmonie avec la nature, Rebecca Topakian, Michel François, Christophe Bourguedieu, Nathalie Wolff & Matthias Bumiller interrogent la société post-capitaliste, ses frontières et ses contradictions. Plus intimistes, Matthew Genitempo et Pascal Amoyel photographient leurs proches dans une relation au territoire de vie. Enfin, Geert Goiris illustre une tension fondamentale entre l’humain et la nature.
In occasione del 10° anniversario del BPM, questa mostra nello spazio pubblico riunisce 10 fotografi che hanno partecipato alle varie edizioni del festival dal 2013. La selezione mostra una diversità di approcci fotografici, ma tutti i fotografi dimostrano un approccio sensibile al mondo contemporaneo, poetico e politico. Il filo conduttore delle fotografie in mostra è la messa in discussione della possibilità o dell'impossibilità di abitare un mondo trasformato dall'attività umana. Janine Bächle, Céline Clanet e Paul Gaffney si chiedono come si possa vivere in armonia con la natura, mentre Rebecca Topakian, Michel François, Christophe Bourguedieu, Nathalie Wolff & Matthias Bumiller si interrogano sulla società post-capitalista, sui suoi confini e sulle sue contraddizioni. Matthew Genitempo e Pascal Amoyel adottano un approccio più intimo, fotografando i loro cari in relazione al territorio in cui vivono. To mark the 10th anniversary of the BPM, this exhibition in the public space brings together 10 photographers who have participated in the various editions of the festival since 2013. The selection shows a diversity of photographic approaches, but all the photographers testify to a sensitive, poetic and political approach to the contemporary world. The common thread running through the photographs on display is a questioning of the possibility or impossibility of inhabiting the world transformed by human activity. Janine Bächle, Céline Clanet and Paul Gaffney ask how we can live in harmony with nature, while Rebecca Topakian, Michel François, Christophe Bourguedieu, Nathalie Wolff & Matthias Bumiller question post-capitalist society, its boundaries and contradictions. More intimate, Matthew Genitempo and Pascal Amoyel photograph their loved ones in relation to the territory in which they live. Finally, Geert Goiris illustrates the fundamental tension between man and nature.
