Ute und Werner Mahler gehören zu den renommiertesten deutschen Fotokünstlern. Heute wie damals überzeugen ihre Arbeiten durch eine humanistische Sicht auf die Welt. Sie sind Gründungsmitglieder der berühmten Fotografenkooperative Ostkreuz. Seit 2008 entstehen gemeinsame Projekte, die neben den eigenen Werkgruppen gezeigt werden. Einen Schwerpunkt der Ausstellung bilden ihre Fotografien vom thüringischen Berka, wo beide zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten fotografiert haben. Aufnahmen von Ludwig Schirmer, autodidaktischer Fotograf und Vater von Ute Mahler, ergänzen die Präsentation.
Ute et Werner Mahler font partie des artistes photographes allemands les plus renommés. Aujourd'hui comme hier, leur travail convainc par une vision humaniste du monde. Ils sont membres fondateurs de la célèbre coopérative de photographes Ostkreuz. Depuis 2008, des projets communs voient le jour et sont présentés aux côtés de leurs propres groupes d'œuvres. L'exposition met l'accent sur leurs photographies de Berka, en Thuringe, où ils ont tous deux photographié à différentes époques. Des clichés de Ludwig Schirmer, photographe autodidacte et père d'Ute Mahler, complètent la présentation.
Ute e Werner Mahler sono tra i più rinomati artisti fotografici tedeschi. Oggi come ieri, il loro lavoro è caratterizzato da una visione umanistica del mondo. Sono membri fondatori della famosa cooperativa di fotografi Ostkreuz. Dal 2008 creano progetti comuni che vengono esposti accanto ai loro gruppi di opere. La mostra è incentrata sulle fotografie di Berka, in Turingia, dove entrambi hanno fotografato in tempi diversi. Le fotografie di Ludwig Schirmer, fotografo autodidatta e padre di Ute Mahler, completano la presentazione.
Ute and Werner Mahler are among the most renowned German photo artists. Today, as in the past, their work impresses with its humanistic view of the world. They are founding members of the famous Ostkreuz photographers' cooperative. Since 2008, they have been creating joint projects that are shown alongside their own groups of works. One focus of the exhibition is their photographs of Berka in Thuringia, where they both photographed at different times. Photographs by Ludwig Schirmer, a self-taught photographer and father of Ute Mahler, complete the presentation.
