In der Ausstellung "The Round House" werden zwei unterschiedliche Stilrichtungen und Generationen der Fotografie gezeigt. Peter Keetman, einem der Pioniere der deutschen Fotografie, mit seiner berühmten Serie "Volkswagenwerk Wolfsburg 1953", neben den Arbeiten von Alfredo Sarabia jun., einem der jungen und spannenden Fotografen Kubas.
In Kooperation mit der Stiftung F.C. Gundlach zeigt die Galerie noir blanche diese Kunstwerke, die aktuell in einer großen Werksschau im Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg ausgestellt sind. Die Ausstellung in der Galerie noir blanche ist zudem so besonders, da nur noch ganz wenige Abzüge von jedem Motiv weltweit zum Verkauf zur Verfügung stehen. Die klaren und grafischen Bildkompositionen von Peter Keetman stehen den vor Lebensfreude strotzenden und dynamischen Fotografien von Alfredo Sarabia Fajardo gegenüber. Das Bindeglied dieser beiden gegensätzlichen Positionen ist der VW Käfer.
Peter Keetman (1916-2005) nimmt einen zentralen Platz in der deutschen Nachkriegsfotografie ein. Ende der 1940er Jahre gehörte Keetman zu den jungen Wilden der fotoform-Gruppe, die, inspiriert von avantgardistischen Experimenten der Vorkriegszeit, eine neue Sprache der Fotografie entwickeln wollten, die auf formaler Reduktion, der schöpferischen Kraft des Lichts und der Subjektivität individueller Welterfahrung beruhte. Gemeinsam mit Otto Steinert und den anderen Mitgliedern von fotoform steht Peter Keetman für den Aufbruch der Fotografie. Gesetzmäßigkeit und Schönheit - Peter Keetmans umfangreiches und abwechslungsreiches Lebenswerk entfaltet sich zwischen diesen beiden Polen. Sie bestimmen seinen Blick auf die Welt und bestimmen seine Bildsprache: Mit einfühlsamen, poetischen Fotografien, die zugleich grafisch streng und hochmodern gestaltet sind, wurde er zu einem der wegweisenden Fotografen der 1950er- und 1960er-Jahre. Keetmans Fotografien zeichnen sich aus durch sein fotografisches Sehen, seinen Gestaltungswillen, mit dem er die Bildfläche als Ausschnitt der Realität in Linie, Fläche und Struktur unterteilte, seinen analytischen Blick und seine technische Präzision. Sein prägender Einfluss auf die Fotografie ist bis heute spürbar.
Alfredo Sarabia Fajardo ist ein bekannter kubanischer Fotograf und Professor für Fotografie an der staatlichen Universidad de la Artes (Havanna) Er hat bereits zahlreiche internationale Ausstellungen und Preise erhalten. Alfredo Sarabia Fajardo wird in Deutschland durch die Galerie noir blanche exklusiv vertreten. Die Arbeiten zeigen einen bildnerischen Zyklus rund um seinen alten VW Käfer, den er von seinem Vater bereits als Kind geerbt hat. Er ist der Sohn des berühmten kubanischen Fotografen Alfredo Sarabia.
Dieses Projekt basiert auf einem Foto, das der Vater ,Alfredo Sarabia sen. in den 90er Jahren aufgenommen hat. Alfredo Sarabia sen. war ein bedeutender kubanischer Fotograf. Schon früh begleitete sein Sohn Alfredo jun. ihn auf seinen Reisen durch Kuba. Die Serie „The Round House“ ist das Ergebnis seiner Familienreisen mit seiner Frau und 4 Kindern. Diese Serie schafft eine sehr emotionale und starke Verbindung zwischen seinen Erinnerungen und seiner Erfahrung als Fotograf. Die Orte, das Auto und die Charaktere werden wiederholt. Ein Generationskreis ist geschlossen.
Das Projekt "The Round House" ist eine Serie von im Wesentlichen selbstreferenziellen Fotografien. Sein konzeptioneller Hintergrund bezieht sich auf die Familiengeschichte auf einer elementaren Ebene des Verständnisses. Somit funktioniert der Arbeitsprozess als intime Suche und als Geste der Selbstdarstellung.
Die Serie umfasst insgesamt 45 Motive, von denen die Galerie noir blanche ca. 32 Motive zeigt.

L'exposition à la Galerie noire blanche est en outre si particulière, car il ne reste que très peu de tirages de chaque motif à vendre dans le monde. Les photographies de Keetman se distinguent par sa vision photographique, sa volonté de créer en divisant la surface de l'image en ligne, en surface et en structure en tant qu'extrait de la réalité, son regard analytique et sa précision technique. Son influence marquante sur la photographie est encore perceptible aujourd'hui.
Alfredo Sarabia Fajardo est un photographe cubain renommé et professeur de photographie à l'université d'État des Arts (La Havane). Il a déjà reçu de nombreuses expositions et prix internationaux. Alfredo Sarabia Fajardo est représenté en Allemagne en exclusivité par la Galerie noir blanche. Ses œuvres présentent un cycle pictural autour de sa vieille Coccinelle VW, qu'il a héritée de son père dès son enfance. Ce dernier est le fils du célèbre photographe cubain Alfredo Sarabia.
Ce projet est basé sur une photo prise par son père, Alfredo Sarabia senior, dans les années 90. Alfredo Sarabia senior était un grand photographe cubain. Très tôt, son fils Alfredo jun. l'a accompagné dans ses voyages à Cuba. La série "The Round House" est le résultat de ses voyages en famille avec sa femme et ses quatre enfants. Cette série crée un lien très émotionnel et fort entre ses souvenirs et son expérience de photographe. Les lieux, la voiture et les personnages sont répétés. Un cercle générationnel est bouclé.

È il figlio del famoso fotografo cubano Alfredo Sarabia.
Questo progetto si basa su una fotografia scattata dal padre, Alfredo Sarabia Sr., negli anni Novanta. Alfredo Sarabia Sr. è stato un importante fotografo cubano. Alfredo Sarabia Fajardo is a well-known Cuban photographer and professor of photography at the State Universidad de la Artes (Havana) He has received numerous international exhibitions and awards. This series creates a very emotional and strong connection between his memories and his experience as a photographer. The places, the car and the characters are repeated. A generational circle is closed.
The project "The Round House" is a series of essentially self-referential photographs. Its conceptual background relates to family history at an elemental level of understanding. Thus, the work process functions as an intimate search and a gesture of self-representation.
