The Fury ist eine raffinierte Kombination aus einer 2-Kanal-Videoinstallation und einer Serie von Schwarz-Weiß-Fotografien mit von Hand aufgetragenen Kalligrafien von Gedichten der iranischen Dichterin Forough Farrokhzad. In Anbetracht derbleibenden emotionalen Narben nach der Entlassung zeichnet die Ausstellung die psychologische und emotionale Reise einer jungen iranischen Frau nach, die jetzt in den Vereinigten Staaten lebt und von den Erinnerungen an ihre Gefangenschaft verfolgt wird. Anlässlich des Internationalen Frauentags zeigt Fotografiska Berlin diese Ausstellung nach der Präsentation bei Fotografiska Stockholm. Questa narrazione è completata da una serie di fotografie che si confrontano direttamente con il corpo femminile come oggetto di desiderio e di violenza.
Sullo sfondo della primavera del 2022, che ha preceduto la rivoluzione "Donna, vita, libertà", queste serie toccanti sono straordinariamente attuali, poiché numerosi uomini e donne iraniani continuano a vivere come prigionieri politici. Complementing this narrative is a photographic series that directly confronts the female body as both an object of desire and violence.
Set against the backdrop of the Spring of 2022, predating the "Woman, Life, Freedom" Revolution, these poignant series remain remarkably relevant as numerous Iranian men and women persist as political prisoners. On the occasion of International Women's Day, Fotografiska Berlin is now showing this exhibition after its presentation at Fotografiska Stockholm and the Goodman Gallery in London. The exhibition, curated by Marina Paulenka, Director of Exhibitions, offers a nuanced exploration of the intersection between art, politics, and the human experience.
