Persons Projects freut sich, die neueste Gruppenausstellung mit dem Titel Portraiture as Social Commentary zu präsentieren, die nicht nur die verschiedenen Aspekte des Porträts als Genre beleuchtet, sondern auch eine Vielzahl künstlerischer Perspektiven miteinander verbindet. Ein Porträt kann ein Gemälde, eine Fotografie, eine Skulptur oder eine andere Darstellung einer Person sein, bei der das Gesicht und seine Mimik im Vordergrund stehen. Sie offenbaren die Präsenz des Subjekts aus der Perspektive des Künstlers oder der Künstlerin – eine Verschmelzung von Kontrasten zwischen Projektion des einen und Wahrnehmung des anderen. Diese Bilder werden zu Spiegeln mit vielen Gesichtern, die sowohl die politischen als auch kulturellen Entwicklungen ihrer Entstehungszeit widerspiegeln können und damit eine sozialkritische Relevanz erhalten.
Persons Projects est heureux de présenter sa dernière exposition collective intitulée Portraiture as Social Commentary, qui non seulement met en lumière les différents aspects du portrait en tant que genre, mais associe également une multitude de perspectives artistiques. Un portrait peut être une peinture, une photographie, une sculpture ou toute autre représentation d'une personne dans laquelle le visage et ses expressions sont au premier plan. Ils révèlent la présence du sujet du point de vue de l'artiste - une fusion de contrastes entre la projection de l'un et la perception de l'autre. Ces images deviennent des miroirs aux multiples visages qui peuvent refléter aussi bien les évolutions politiques que culturelles de l'époque où elles ont été créées, ce qui leur confère une pertinence de critique sociale.
Persons Projects è lieta di presentare l'ultima mostra collettiva intitolata Portraiture as Social Commentary, che non solo esplora i vari aspetti del ritratto come genere, ma combina anche una varietà di prospettive artistiche. Un ritratto può essere un dipinto, una fotografia, una scultura o qualsiasi altra rappresentazione di una persona in cui il volto e le sue espressioni facciali sono al centro dell'attenzione. Essi rivelano la presenza del soggetto dalla prospettiva dell'artista - una fusione di contrasti tra la proiezione dell'uno e la percezione dell'altro. Queste immagini diventano specchi dalle molte facce, che possono riflettere gli sviluppi politici e culturali del loro tempo di origine, acquisendo così una rilevanza socio-critica.
Persons Projects is delighted to present the latest group exhibition titled Portraiture as Social Commentary; this exhibition not only highlights the different aspects of the genre but also links together a variety of artistic perspectives. A portrait is a painting, a photograph, a sculpture, or any other representation of a person in which the face and its expressions are predominant. They reveal the presence of the subject viewed from the perspective of the artist – a merger of contrasts between what’s projected by one and perceived by another. These images become mirrors of many faces that reflect both the political and cultural undercurrents relevant to the time period in which they were conceived.
