In der CONSARC/GALLERIA in Chiasso werden im Frühjahr 2023 rund 20 Werke der bekannten Schweizer Multimedia-Künstlerin Annelies Štrba gezeigt.
Geboren 1947 in Zug (CH), lebt und arbeitet Annelies Štrba zwischen Richterswil und Arcegno.
Sie begann ihre künstlerische Arbeit 1990 und nahm an Gruppenausstellungen mit anderen Künstlern teil, die sich mit den Themen Familie, Gesellschaft und Alltag befassen, wie Nan Goldin, Shirin Neshat, Pipilotti Rist und Wolfgang Tillmans. Die Künstlerin nutzt Fotografie und digitale Medien, um Bilder zu produzieren, die sie dann nicht nur am Computer, sondern auch mit manuellen Eingriffen manipuliert.
Seine traumhaften, malerischen Bilder zeigen vor allem seine Kinder (und später seine Enkelkinder), die in einer farbenfrohen, schützenden häuslichen Umgebung schlafen, träumen und spielen, als ob sie die flüchtigen Tage der Kindheit festhalten wollten. Ihre Figuren erinnern an Geister und entmaterialisierte Gestalten, die in Dekorationen eingebettet sind, die an die romantischen Atmosphären der Brontë-Bücher erinnern.
Für Annelies Štrba ist das Familienleben eng mit ihrer künstlerischen Forschung verbunden, und die Kamera war schon immer ein fester Bestandteil ihres täglichen Lebens.
Ihre Werke wurden im Museum Rietberg und im Landesmuseum in Zürich, im Kunsthaus in Zug und im Gemeente Museum in Den Haag ausgestellt und befinden sich in den Sammlungen internationaler Museen wie dem Centre Pompidou in Paris, der Hamburger Kunsthalle und dem Kunsthaus in Zürich.
Die Einzelausstellung in der CONSARC/GALLERIA findet zeitgleich mit einer großen Retrospektive statt, die die Fotostiftung in Winterthur dem Schweizer Fotografen vom 25.02. bis 13.08.2023 widmet.
Unter dem Titel Bunt entfaltet sich mein Anderssein, der ein Gedicht von Emmy Henning zitiert, zeigt die Fotostiftung erstmals Werke der Künstlerin aus ihrer Sammlung. Es handelt sich um Werke aus dem Zyklus "Shades of Time", der zwischen 1974 und 1997 entstanden ist und in dem die ersten Schwarz-Weiß-Fotografien die Farbfotos der familiären Intimität vorwegnehmen, sowie um Panoramen und Blumen, die während einiger Reisen aufgenommen wurden. Ein zweiter Teil der Ausstellung konzentriert sich auf das jüngste, seinen Enkeln gewidmete Werk mit dem Titel NOONDAY.
Die Galerie in Chiasso bietet auch eine Sammlung der wichtigsten Bücher von Annelies Štrba an, die immer sehr sorgfältig verpackt und gedruckt werden und von denen einige heute nicht mehr erhältlich und vergriffen sind.
Auch die jüngste Publikation, die Lars Müller anlässlich der Retrospektive in Winterthur herausgegeben hat, mit Texten von Teresa Gruber, Peter Pfrunder und Guido Magnaguagno wird erhältlich sein.
Au CONSARC/GALLERIA de Chiasso, l'exposition du début du printemps 2023 présente une vingtaine d'œuvres de l'éminente artiste multimédia suisse Annelies Štrba.
Née en 1947 à Zoug (CH), Annelies Štrba vit et travaille entre Richterswil et Arcegno.
Elle a commencé son travail artistique en 1990, en participant à des expositions collectives avec d'autres artistes liés aux thèmes de la famille, de la société et de la vie quotidienne, comme Nan Goldin, Shirin Neshat, Pipilotti Rist et Wolfgang Tillmans. L'artiste utilise la photographie et les médias numériques pour produire des images qu'elle manipule ensuite non seulement sur l'ordinateur mais aussi avec des interventions manuelles.
Ses images oniriques et picturales représentent principalement ses enfants (et plus tard ses petits-enfants) dormant, rêvant et jouant dans un environnement domestique coloré et protecteur, comme pour fixer les jours fugaces de l'enfance. Ses personnages évoquent des fantômes et des figures dématérialisées immergées dans des décors rappelant les atmosphères romantiques des livres de Brontë.
Pour Annelies Štrba, la vie familiale est étroitement liée à sa recherche artistique et l'appareil photo a toujours fait partie intégrante de son quotidien.
Ses œuvres ont été exposées au Musée Rietberg et au Landesmuseum de Zurich, au Kunsthaus de Zug, au Gemeente Museum de La Haye et font partie des collections de musées internationaux tels que le Centre Pompidou à Paris, la Hamburger Kunsthalle et le Kunsthaus de Zurich.
L'exposition personnelle au CONSARC/GALLERIA a lieu en même temps qu'une grande rétrospective que la Fotostiftung de Winterthur consacre au photographe suisse du 25.02. au 13.08.2023.
Sous le titre Bunt entfaltet sich mein Anderssein, qui cite un poème d'Emmy Henning, la Fondation suisse pour la photographie expose pour la première fois des œuvres de l'artiste issues de sa collection. Des œuvres appartenant au cycle Shades of Time, réalisées entre 1974 et 1997, où les premières toiles photographiques en noir et blanc anticipent les photos en couleur de l'intimité familiale, ainsi que des panoramas et des fleurs pris lors de certains voyages. Une deuxième partie de l'exposition se concentre sur l'œuvre la plus récente consacrée à ses petits-enfants, intitulée NOONDAY.
La Galerie de Chiasso propose également une collection des livres les plus significatifs de l'œuvre d'Annelies Štrba, des publications toujours très soigneusement emballées et imprimées, dont certaines sont désormais introuvables et épuisées.
La dernière publication éditée par Lars Müller pour la rétrospective de Winterthur avec des textes de Teresa Gruber, Peter Pfrunder et Guido Magnaguagno sera également disponible.
Alla CONSARC/GALLERIA di Chiasso la mostra di inizio primavera 2023 ospita una ventina di lavori dell’importante artista svizzera multimediale Annelies Štrba.
Nata nel 1947 a Zugo (CH), Annelies Štrba vive e lavora tra Richterswil e Arcegno.
Inizia il suo lavoro artistico nel 1990 partecipando a mostre collettive con altri autori legati ai temi della famiglia, della società e della vita quotidiana come Nan Goldin, Shirin Neshat, Pipilotti Rist e Wolfgang Tillmans. L’artista si serve della fotografia e dei media digitali per produrre immagini che poi manipola non solo al computer ma anche con interventi manuali.
Nelle sue immagini oniriche e pittoriche sono ritratti soprattutto i suoi figli (e in seguito i suoi nipoti) che dormono, sognano e giocano all’interno di un colorato e protettivo ambiente domestico quasi a voler fissare i giorni fugaci dell’infanzia. I suoi personaggi evocano fantasmi e figure smaterializzate immerse in decori che ricordano le atmosfere romantiche dei libri delle Brontë.
La vita famigliare è per Annelies Štrba strettamente legata alla sua ricerca artistica e l’apparecchio fotografico è da sempre parte integrante del suo quotidiano.
Le sue opere sono state esposte al Museum Rietberg e al Landesmuseum di Zurigo, al Kunsthaus di Zugo, al Gemeente Museum all’Aia e sono presenti nelle collezioni di musei internazionali come il Centre Pompidou di Parigi, l’Hamburger Kunsthalle e il Kunsthaus di Zurigo.
La mostra personale in CONSARC/GALLERIA si svolge in contemporanea con un’importante retrospettiva che la Fotostiftung di Winterthur dedica alla fotografa svizzera dal 25.02. al 13.08.2023.
Con il titolo Bunt entfaltet sich mein Anderssein, che cita una poesia di Emmy Henning, la Fondazione Svizzera per la Fotografia espone per la prima volta le opere dell’artista presenti nella sua collezione. Opere facenti parte del ciclo Shades of Time, realizzate tra il 1974 e il 1997, dove le prime tele fotografiche in bianco e nero anticipano le foto a colori di intimità familiare, oltre a panorami e fiori ripresi durante alcuni viaggi. Una seconda parte della mostra è invece concentrata sul lavoro più recente dedicato ai nipoti dal titolo NOONDAY.
La Galleria chiassese propone anche una raccolta dei libri più significativi dei lavori di Annelies Štrba, pubblicazioni sempre molto curate nella confezione e nella stampa, alcune delle quali ormai introvabili ed esaurite.
Sarà disponibile anche l’ultima pubblicazione edita da Lars Müller per la retrospettiva di Winterthur con i testi di Teresa Gruber, Peter Pfrunder e Guido Magnaguagno.
At the CONSARC/GALLERIA in Chiasso, the early spring 2023 exhibition features some 20 works by prominent Swiss multimedia artist Annelies Štrba.
Born in 1947 in Zug (CH), Annelies Štrba lives and works between Richterswil and Arcegno.
She began her artistic work in 1990 by participating in group exhibitions with other authors related to the themes of family, society and everyday life such as Nan Goldin, Shirin Neshat, Pipilotti Rist and Wolfgang Tillmans. The artist uses photography and digital media to produce images that she then manipulates not only on the computer but also with manual interventions.
His dreamlike, painterly images depict mostly his children (and later his grandchildren) sleeping, dreaming and playing within a colorful, protective domestic environment as if to fix the fleeting days of childhood. Her characters evoke ghosts and dematerialized figures immersed in décor reminiscent of the romantic atmospheres of the Brontës' books.
Family life is for Annelies Štrba closely linked to her artistic pursuit, and the camera has always been an integral part of her daily life.
Her works have been exhibited at Museum Rietberg and Landesmuseum Zurich, Kunsthaus Zug, Gemeente Museum in The Hague and are in the collections of international museums such as Centre Pompidou in Paris, Hamburger Kunsthalle and Kunsthaus Zurich.
The solo exhibition in CONSARC/GALLERY runs concurrently with a major retrospective that the Fotostiftung Winterthur is dedicating to the Swiss photographer from Feb. 25 to Aug. 13, 2023.
Under the title Bunt entfaltet sich mein Anderssein, which quotes a poem by Emmy Henning, the Swiss Foundation for Photography is exhibiting the artist's works in its collection for the first time. Works that are part of the Shades of Time cycle, made between 1974 and 1997, where early black-and-white photographic canvases anticipate color photos of family intimacy, as well as panoramas and flowers taken during some travels. A second part of the exhibition, however, focuses on the most recent work dedicated to his grandchildren entitled NOONDAY.
The Chiasso Gallery also offers a collection of the most significant books of Annelies Štrba's work, publications that are always very carefully packaged and printed, some of which are now unobtainable and out of print.
Also available will be the latest publication edited by Lars Müller for the Winterthur retrospective with texts by Teresa Gruber, Peter Pfrunder and Guido Magnaguagno.
