Marinella Senatore (1977 Cava de’ Tirreni, IT – Rom, IT) ist eine zentrale Figur der italienischen Gegenwartskunst. Mithilfe verschiedener Medien entwickelt sie künstlerische Strategien, die das Potenzial haben, gesellschaftliche Veränderungsprozesse in Gang zu setzen. Ihr Fokus gilt dabei der Frage, wie der sozialen Spaltung und Polarisierung unserer Zeit künstlerisch begegnet werden kann und wie Formen von Gemeinschaft entstehen können, in denen Emanzipation und Empowerment tragende Säulen sind.
Die Sammlung Generali Foundation am Museum der Moderne Salzburg und das Museum Villa Stuck in München konzipieren die bisher größte Ausstellung der Künstlerin als ein Projekt in zwei Kapiteln, die zeitgleich zu sehen sind. Sie ergänzen einander und bieten einen Überblick über das gesamte Spektrum von Senatores Werk, das Lichtskulpturen, textile Arbeiten, Zeichnungen, Collagen, Fotografien und Filme umfasst. Den Höhepunkt in Salzburg bildet eine Parade, die im Rahmen von Senatores School of Narrative Dance mit der lokalen Bevölkerung entwickelt wird und ein lyrisches Fest der Gemeinschaftlichkeit mit Tanz, Musik, Gesang sowie anderen Performances feiert.

Marinella Senatore (1977 Cava de' Tirreni, IT - Rome, IT) est une figure centrale de l'art contemporain italien. A l'aide de différents médias, elle développe des stratégies artistiques qui ont le potentiel d'initier des processus de changement social. Elle se concentre sur la question de savoir comment la division et la polarisation sociales de notre époque peuvent être abordées de manière artistique et comment des formes de communauté peuvent être créées, dans lesquelles l'émancipation et l'autonomisation sont des piliers.
La collection de la Generali Foundation au Museum der Moderne de Salzbourg et le Museum Villa Stuck de Munich ont conçu la plus grande exposition de l'artiste à ce jour comme un projet en deux chapitres, à voir simultanément. Ils se complètent et offrent un aperçu de l'ensemble de l'œuvre de Senatores, qui comprend des sculptures lumineuses, des œuvres textiles, des dessins, des collages, des photographies et des films. Le point culminant à Salzbourg sera une parade développée dans le cadre de l'École de danse narrative de Senatores avec la population locale, célébrant une fête lyrique de la communauté avec de la danse, de la musique, des chants ainsi que d'autres performances.

Con l'aiuto di vari media, sviluppa strategie artistiche che hanno il potenziale di mettere in moto processi di cambiamento sociale. La sua attenzione si concentra sulla questione di come la divisione sociale e la polarizzazione del nostro tempo possano essere contrastate artisticamente e di come possano emergere forme di comunità in cui l'emancipazione e l'empowerment siano pilastri portanti.
La Collezione della Fondazione Generali presso il Museum der Moderne di Salisburgo e il Museo Villa Stuck di Monaco hanno concepito la più grande mostra dell'artista fino ad oggi come un progetto in due capitoli che possono essere visti contemporaneamente. Si completano a vicenda e offrono una panoramica dell'intero spettro del lavoro di Senatore, che comprende sculture di luce, opere tessili, disegni, collage, fotografie e film. Il momento culminante a Salisburgo sarà una parata sviluppata con la popolazione locale nell'ambito della Scuola di Danza Narrativa di Senatore, che celebra una festa lirica di comunanza con danza, musica, canto e altri spettacoli.

With the help of various media, she develops artistic strategies that have the potential to set processes of social change in motion. Her focus is on the question of how the social division and polarization of our time can be countered artistically and how forms of community can emerge in which emancipation and empowerment are supporting pillars.
The Generali Foundation Collection at the Museum der Moderne Salzburg and the Museum Villa Stuck in Munich have conceived the artist's largest exhibition to date as a project in two chapters that can be seen simultaneously. They complement each other and offer an overview of the entire spectrum of Senatore's work, which includes light sculptures, textile works, drawings, collages, photographs, and films. The highlight in Salzburg will be a parade developed with the local community as part of Senatore's School of Narrative Dance, celebrating a lyrical celebration of community with dance, music, song, as well as other performances.
