Jean-François Jaussaud zeichnet ein intimes Porträt von Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010, FR/US). Louise Bourgeois, eine bedeutende Künstlerin des 21. Jahrhunderts, war bildende Künstlerin, Bildhauerin und Malerin. Jean-François Jaussaud lernte die Künstlerin in New York kennen. Ein erstes Fotoshooting im April 1995 führte zu zahlreichen weiteren Begegnungen in den letzten 11 Jahren des Lebens der Künstlerin. In ihrem Atelier in Brooklyn oder in ihrer Wohnung in Chelsea gelingt es Jean-François Jaussaud, Louise Bourgeois so einzufangen, wie sie ist: schelmisch, fröhlich, engagiert, aber auch unberechenbar. Er lässt sich von der Atmosphäre des Hauses, "ihrer Zelle, ihrem Theater", imprägnieren und kann sich frei inmitten ihres Atelier-Labors bewegen, einem Schlachtfeld voller Erinnerungen. Der Fotograf beobachtet den Künstler bei seiner Arbeit und bietet uns ein Porträt voller Genauigkeit. Sie werden sich im Februar 2006 zum letzten Mal treffen.
Jean-François Jaussaud dresse un portrait intime de Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010, FR/US). Figure artistique majeure du XXIe siècle, elle était plasticienne, sculpteur et peintre. Jean-François Jaussaud a rencontré l'artiste à New York. Une première séance photo en avril 1995 a donné lieu à de nombreuses autres rencontres au cours des 11 dernières années de la vie de l'artiste. Dans son atelier de Brooklyn ou dans sa maison de Chelsea, Jean-François Jaussaud parvient à saisir Louise Bourgeois telle qu'elle est : espiègle, joyeuse, investie mais aussi imprévisible. Il se laisse imprégner par l'atmosphère de la maison, "sa cellule, son théâtre" et est libre de circuler au milieu de son atelier-laboratoire, un champ de bataille rempli de souvenirs. Le photographe observe l'artiste au cœur de son travail et nous offre un portrait plein de justesse. Ils se rencontreront pour la dernière fois en février 2006.

Jean-François Jaussaud ha incontrato l'artista a New York. Una prima sessione fotografica nell'aprile 1995 ha dato luogo a molti altri incontri durante gli ultimi 11 anni della vita dell'artista. Nel suo studio di Brooklyn o nella sua casa di Chelsea, Jean-François Jaussaud riesce a catturare Louise Bourgeois così com'è: birichina, gioiosa, investita ma anche imprevedibile. Si lascia impregnare dall'atmosfera della casa, "la sua cella, il suo teatro" ed è libero di circolare in mezzo al suo studio-laboratorio, un campo di battaglia pieno di ricordi. Il fotografo osserva l'artista nel cuore del suo lavoro e ci offre un ritratto pieno di precisione. Si incontreranno per l'ultima volta nel febbraio 2006.
Jean-François Jaussaud draws an intimate portrait of Louise Bourgeois (1911-2010, FR/US). A major artistic figure of the 21st century, she was a visual artist, sculptor and painter. Jean-François Jaussaud met the artist in New York. A first photo session in April 1995 gave way to many other encounters during the last 11 years of the artist's life. In her Brooklyn studio or in her Chelsea home, Jean-François Jaussaud manages to capture Louise Bourgeois as she is: mischievous, joyful, invested but also unpredictable. He lets himself be impregnated by the atmosphere of the house, "her cell, her theater" and is free to circulate in the middle of her studio-laboratory, a battlefield filled with memories. The photographer observes the artist at the heart of his work and offers us a portrait full of accuracy. They will meet for the last time in February 2006.
