Die belgische Künstlerin Katrien de Blauwer, geboren 1969, bezeichnet sich selbst als "Fotografin ohne Apparat". Sie schneidet, klebt, fügt zusammen, färbt und manipuliert Fotografien aus alten Zeitschriften, die sie sammelt. Ihre Werke, die der Fotomontage oder der Filmmontage nahe kommen, bergen eine intensive narrative Ladung. Sie sind mit der Erinnerung und der persönlichen Geschichte verbunden, aber paradoxerweise ebenso intim wie anonym, und werden so zum möglichen Szenario eines jeden Menschen.
Die temporäre Hängung zeigt 29 Werke aus den Serien When I Was a Boy (2016-2018) und Commencer (2019-2020).
L’artiste belge Katrien de Blauwer, née en 1969, se présente elle-même comme « photographe sans appareil ». Elle coupe, colle, assemble, enfreint, colore, manipule des photographies issues d’anciens magazines qu’elle collectionne. Proches du photomontage ou du montage cinématographique, ses œuvres recèlent une intense charge narrative. Liées à la mémoire et à son histoire personnelle mais, paradoxalement, aussi intimes qu’anonymes, elles deviennent le scénario possible de tout un chacun.

L'artista belga Katrien de Blauwer, nata nel 1969, si definisce una "fotografa senza macchina fotografica". Taglia, incolla, assembla, violenta, colora e manipola fotografie da vecchie riviste che colleziona. Vicine al fotomontaggio o al montaggio cinematografico, le sue opere sono intensamente narrative. Legate alla memoria e alla storia personale ma, paradossalmente, tanto intime quanto anonime, diventano uno scenario possibile per tutti.

The Belgian artist Katrien de Blauwer, born in 1969, presents herself as a "photographer without a camera". She cuts, glues, assembles, violates, colors, manipulates photographs from old magazines that she collects. Close to photomontage or cinematographic montage, her works conceal an intense narrative charge. Linked to memory and personal history but, paradoxically, as intimate as they are anonymous, they become the possible scenario of everyone.
