Giacomo Santiago Rogado ist ein Schweizer Künstler mit italienisch-spanischen Wurzeln, der in seinen Arbeiten verschiedenste Traditionen des malerischen Mediums kombiniert und mithilfe neuer Werkzeuge, Techniken und Materialien intensiv die Möglichkeiten, Grenzen und Bedingungen zeitgenössischer Malerei auslotet. In seiner knapp 20-jährigen künstlerischen Tätigkeit als Maler hat Rogado ein umfangreiches Werk geschaffen, das bislang noch nie überblicksartig ausgestellt worden ist. Er ist ausserdem der erste Künstler, der beide Standorte, den Thunerhof und das Thun- Panorama, bespielt. Auf einer Fläche von insgesamt über 1000 m2 wird Rogado unmittelbar auf die spezifischen Herausforderungen der Ausstellungsorte reagieren. Im verglasten Ergänzungsbau des Thun-Panoramas arbeitet er mit dem Innen- wie auch mit dem Aussenraum, dem idyllischen Schadaupark. Eine raumgreifende Installation ermöglicht den Besuchenden ein Eintauchen in den Bildraum. Gleichzeitig erweitert sich das Werk im Dialog mit der Umgebung um eine weitere Dimension.

Giacomo Santiago Rogado est un artiste suisse d'origine italo-espagnole qui combine dans son travail les traditions les plus diverses du médium pictural et explore intensément les possibilités, les limites et les conditions de la peinture contemporaine à l'aide de nouveaux outils, techniques et matériaux. En près de 20 ans d'activité artistique en tant que peintre, Rogado a créé une œuvre considérable qui n'a encore jamais été exposée de manière globale. Il est en outre le premier artiste à investir les deux sites, le Thunerhof et le Thun- Panorama. Sur une surface totale de plus de 1000 m2, Rogado réagira directement aux défis spécifiques des lieux d'exposition. Dans le bâtiment complémentaire vitré du panorama de Thoune, il travaille aussi bien avec l'espace intérieur qu'avec l'espace extérieur, le parc idyllique de Schadau. Une installation qui occupe tout l'espace permet aux visiteurs de s'immerger dans l'espace pictural. En même temps, l'œuvre s'élargit d'une autre dimension en dialoguant avec l'environnement.

Giacomo Santiago Rogado è un artista svizzero con radici italo-spagnole che combina nelle sue opere le più diverse tradizioni del mezzo pittorico e utilizza nuovi strumenti, tecniche e materiali per esplorare intensamente le possibilità, i limiti e le condizioni della pittura contemporanea. Nei suoi quasi 20 anni di attività artistica come pittore, Rogado ha creato un ampio corpus di opere che non sono mai state esposte in una rassegna. È inoltre il primo artista a esporre in entrambe le sedi, il Thunerhof e il Thun Panorama. Su una superficie complessiva di oltre 1000 m2, Rogado risponderà direttamente alle sfide specifiche delle sedi espositive. Nell'estensione vetrata del Thun Panorama, Rogado lavorerà sia con lo spazio interno che con quello esterno, l'idilliaco Schadaupark. Un'ampia installazione permette ai visitatori di immergersi nello spazio pittorico. Allo stesso tempo, l'opera si espande in un'altra dimensione in dialogo con l'ambiente circostante.

Giacomo Santiago Rogado is a Swiss artist with Italian-Spanish roots who combines the most diverse traditions of the painterly medium in his works and intensively explores the possibilities, limits and conditions of contemporary painting with the help of new tools, techniques and materials. In his almost 20 years of artistic activity as a painter, Rogado has created an extensive body of work that has never before been exhibited in an overview. He is also the first artist to exhibit at both locations, the Thunerhof and the Thun Panorama. On a total area of over 1000 m2, Rogado will respond directly to the specific challenges of the exhibition venues. In the glazed extension to the Thun Panorama, he works with both the interior and exterior space, the idyllic Schadaupark. An expansive installation allows visitors to immerse themselves in the pictorial space. At the same time, the work expands into another dimension in dialog with its surroundings.
