Kann man Fototechnik gendern? Ja! Wenn technikaffine Fotografinnen digitale und analoge Arbeitsabläufe und Werkzeuge ins Bild holen, den Fetisch um Kamera-Modelle wörtlich nehmen, wenn sie 3D-modellierte Körperfragmente aus dem Nichts heraustreten lassen, mit Proben des radioaktiven Minerals Pechblende Autoradiografien herstellen oder Gleichgewichtsstudien nach Lucia Moholy inszenieren.
FOTOTECHNIKA ergänzt die Geschichte der Fototechnik (History) um eine Herstory, ist künstlerisch und wissenschaftlich, sinnlich und sachlich. Wer sein Medium liebt, ergründet sein Wesen, versteht seine Technik und beobachtet seine Verfahren.
Die Ausstellung wurde von Ruth Horak kuratiert.
Peut-on utiliser un genre pour la technique photographique ? Oui ! Lorsque des photographes technophiles font entrer dans le visuel des processus de travail et des outils numériques et analogiques, lorsqu'elles prennent au pied de la lettre le fétichisme autour des modèles d'appareils photo, lorsqu'elles font surgir du néant des fragments de corps modélisés en 3D, lorsqu'elles réalisent des autoradiographies avec des échantillons de pechblende, un minéral radioactif, ou lorsqu'elles mettent en scène des études sur l'équilibre selon Lucia Moholy.
FOTOTECHNIKA complète l'histoire de la technique photographique (History) par une herstory, elle est artistique et scientifique, sensuelle et objective. Celui qui aime son médium, sonde son essence, comprend sa technique et observe ses procédés.

La tecnologia fotografica può essere di genere? Sì! Quando le fotografe con un'affinità per la tecnologia mettono in scena processi e strumenti di lavoro digitali e analogici, quando prendono alla lettera il feticcio dei modelli di macchina fotografica, quando lasciano che frammenti di corpo modellati in 3D emergano dal nulla, quando producono autoradiografie con campioni del minerale radioattivo pechblenda o quando mettono in scena studi di equilibrio secondo Lucia Moholy.
FOTOTECHNIKA aggiunge una Herstory alla storia della tecnologia fotografica (History), è artistica e scientifica, sensuale e fattuale. Chi ama il proprio mezzo ne scandaglia l'essenza, ne comprende la tecnica e ne osserva i processi.

Can you gender photo technology? Yes! When female photographers with an affinity for technology bring digital and analog work processes and tools into the picture, when they take the fetish around camera models literally, when they let 3D-modeled body fragments emerge from nowhere, when they produce autoradiographs with samples of the radioactive mineral pitchblende, or when they stage equilibrium studies after Lucia Moholy.
