Die Galerie XII präsentiert eine Ausstellung der dänischen Künstlerin Susanne Wellm, die von Chantal und Gabriel Bauret vorgeschlagen wurde. Unter dem Titel "Auf der anderen Seite" erforscht diese Ausstellung urbane und alltägliche Erzählungen. Anhand einer umfangreichen Sammlung von Bildern, die sie in Fotoalben, historischen Büchern, Filmbildern oder ihren eigenen Schnappschüssen gefunden hat, stellt Susanne Wellm Verbindungen zwischen persönlichen Dramen des Alltagslebens und der Geschichte der kollektiven Traumata des modernen Europas her. Die Bilder werden zerschnitten und aufgelöst, bevor sie symbolisch wieder zusammengesetzt und neu verknüpft werden. Durch Collage und Montage fügt Susanne Wellm Einblicke in eine manchmal banale Realität zu vielschichtigen, poetischen Bildräumen zusammen, in denen Fiktion und Fakten, Stagnation und Bewegung, Innen und Außen zu äußerst bedeutungsvollen Momenten verschmelzen, die eine Handlung filmisch nachzeichnen und gleichzeitig offen für Interpretationen bleiben.

La Galerie XII présente une exposition de l’artiste danoise Susanne Wellm, proposée par Chantal et Gabriel Bauret. Intitulée « De l'autre côté », cette exposition explore des récits urbains et quotidiens. À partir d'une vaste collection d'images trouvées dans des albums photos, livres historiques, images de films ou dans ses propres clichés, Susanne Wellm établit des liens entre les drames personnels de la vie quotidienne et l'histoire des traumatismes collectifs de l'Europe moderne. Les images sont découpées, dissoutes avant d'être symboliquement retissées et renouées. Par le biais du collage et du montage, Susanne Wellm assemble des aperçus d'un réel parfois banal en espaces picturaux poétiques à plusieurs niveaux, où la fiction et les faits, la stagnation et le mouvement, l'intérieur et l'extérieur, se fondent dans des moments extrêmement significatifs, traçant cinématographiquement une action, tout en restant ouverts à l'interprétation.

Attingendo a una vasta collezione di immagini trovate in album fotografici, libri storici, filmati e fotografie personali, Susanne Wellm stabilisce collegamenti tra i drammi personali della vita quotidiana e la storia del trauma collettivo nell'Europa moderna. Le immagini vengono tagliate e dissolte prima di essere simbolicamente intrecciate e riattaccate. Attraverso il collage e il montaggio, Susanne Wellm assembla scorci di realtà a volte banali in spazi pittorici poetici e multistrato, dove finzione e realtà, stagnazione e movimento, interno ed esterno, si fondono in momenti altamente significativi, tracciando cinematograficamente un'azione, pur rimanendo aperti all'interpretazione.

Galerie XII presents an exhibition by Danish artist Susanne Wellm, curated by Chantal and Gabriel Bauret. Entitled "On the Other Side", this exhibition explores urban and everyday narratives. Drawing on a vast collection of images found in photo albums, historical books, film footage and her own snapshots, Susanne Wellm establishes links between the personal dramas of everyday life and the history of collective trauma in modern Europe. Images are cut up and dissolved, only to be symbolically rewoven and reconnected. Through collage and montage, Susanne Wellm assembles glimpses of a sometimes banal reality into poetic, multi-layered pictorial spaces, where fiction and fact, stagnation and movement, interior and exterior, merge into highly significant moments, cinematically tracing an action, while remaining open to interpretation.
