Die Gruppenausstellung PERCEPTIONS zeigt Arbeiten amerikanischer Fotografen, die sich mit Fragen von menschlicher Nähe, Körperlichkeit, Intimität und Fragilität beschäftigen. Die Fotografien thematisieren alltägliche Themen und Situationen, deren Wichtigkeit und Notwendigkeit uns erst in einer Zeit, die von Einschränkungen, Distanzierung und Isolation geprägt ist, deutlich vor Augen geführt werden. PERCEPTIONS skizziert mit einer Auswahl an hochwertigen Vintage Fotografien aus Privatsammlungen eine Zeitreise durch die amerikanische Fotografiegeschichte des 20. Jahrhunderts und hat die Wahrnehmung und Beziehung der Menschen untereinander im Fokus.
L'exposition collective PERCEPTIONS présente des œuvres de photographes américains qui traitent des questions de proximité humaine, de corporéité, d'intimité et de fragilité. Les photographies abordent des thèmes et des situations quotidiennes dont l'importance et la nécessité ne nous apparaissent clairement qu'à une époque marquée par les restrictions, la distance et l'isolement. Avec une sélection de photographies vintage de haute qualité provenant de collections privées, PERCEPTIONS esquisse un voyage dans le temps à travers l'histoire américaine de la photographie au XXe siècle et se concentre sur la perception des gens et les relations entre eux.
The group exhibition PERCEPTIONS features works by American photographers, which concern themselves with issues like human contact, corporeality, intimacy as well as fragility. The photographs explore problems of everyday topics and situations, the importance and necessity of which are made clear to us only at times marked by restrictions, distancing, and isolation. With its choice of high-quality vintage prints from private collections PERCEPTIONSoutlines time travelling through 20th century history of photography and focusses on perceptions and relations among humans.
