Das Musee des Beaux-Arts Le Locle (MBAL) freut sich, die Gruppenausstellung animal instinctlinstinct animal zu präsentieren, die dazu einlädt, über unsere Beziehungen mit der Tierwelt sowohl unter dem Gesichtspunkt unserer Identität als auch im Hinblick auf die zeitgenössischen Herausforderungen der Biodiversität nachzudenken. Das Projekt ist Teil der Museumspolitik des MBAL, die sich zum Ziel gesetzt hat, gesellschaftliche Fragen zu stellen, indem sie Meisterwerke aus der ständigen Sammlung und speziell für dieses Projekt auch aus der Sammlung von MUZOO, La Chaux-de Fonds, mit zeitgenössischen Kreationen von Gastkünstlern in Dialog treten lässt. Warum laufen Schildkröten, kaum dass sie das Nest verlassen haben, ins Meer und woher wissen Spinnen spontan, wie sie ein Netz weben? Mysteriös, unmerklich und faszinierend: Der tierische Instinkt hat schon immer die Neugier der Künstler geweckt, sowohl in Bezug auf die Darstellung als auch auf die Beziehung zwischen Mensch und Tier.
Was nimmt ein Hund wahr, der durch eine verlassene Fabrik rennt? Wie reagieren Bienen auf Pestizide? Unter welchem Stress stehen Tiere, die das Militär einsetzt? Tiere als Künstler, Philosophen, Opfer und Widerstandskämpfer - die vorgestellten Projekte hinterfragen die verschwommene Grenze zwischen Angeborenem und Erlerntem, Wildem und Domestiziertem, Natur und Kultur, Unterwerfung und Freiheit, Wissenschaft und Fiktion.
Le Musée des Beaux-Arts Le Locle (MBAL) est ravi de présenter l’exposition collective animal instinct / instinct animal, qui invite à réfléchir à nos relations avec le monde animal, tant du point de vue de notre identité que des enjeux contemporains de la biodiversité. Le projet s’inscrit dans la politique muséale du MBAL, qui a pour ambition de questionner les enjeux sociétaux en faisant dialoguer les chefs-d’oeuvre de la collection permanente et pour ce projet celle, également, de MUZOO, La Chaux-de-Fonds, avec les créations contemporaines d’artistes invité·e·x·s. Pourquoi les tortues, à peine sorties du nid, se précipitent-elles vers la mer, et les araignées savent-elles spontanément tisser une toile ? Mystérieux, imperceptible et fascinant, l’instinct animal, attise la curiosité des artistes depuis toujours, tant dans ses aspects de représentation que des relations entre l’être humain avec l’animal.
Que perçoit un chien qui court dans une usine abandonnée ? Comment les abeilles réagissent-elles aux pesticides ? Quel stress habite les animaux utilisés par l’armée ? Animaux artistes, philosophes, victimes ou résistants, les projets présentés interrogent les frontières floues entre l’inné et l’acquis, le sauvage et le domestique, la nature et la culture, la soumission et la liberté, la science et la fiction.

Misterioso, impereettibile e affascinante, l'istinto animale ha sempre suscitato la euriosita dellɜ artistɜ, sia nei suoi aspetti rappresentativi ehe nel rapporto tra esseri umani e animali.
Cosa percepisce un cane ehe corre in una fabbrica abbandonata? Come reagiseono le api ai pesticidi? Che tipo di stress subiscono gli animali utilizzati dall'esercito? Che si tratti di animali artistɜ, filosofɜ, vittime o resistentɜ, i progetti presentati mettono in diseussione i eonfini labili tra innato e aequisito, selvaggio e addomesticato, natura e cultura, sottomissione e liberta, scienza e finzione.
The Museum of Fine Arts Le Locle (MBAL) is pleased to present animal instinct / instinct animal, a group exhibition conceived as an invitation to reflect upon our relation to the animal world, both from the standpoint of our own identity and that of the biodiversity challenges currently at stake. The project is part of MBAL's museal commitment to question societal issues by creating a dialogue between the masterpieces of its permanent collection - as well as those of MUZOO’s collection in La Chauxde-Fonds for this occasion - and the artworks of invited contemporary artists. Why do turtles rush to the sea as soon as they leave their nests, and spiders spontaneously weave webs? Mysterious, imperceptible and fascinating, the animal instinct has always stirred the curiosity of artists, both in its aspects of representation and in the relationship between the human being and the animal.
What does a dog running through an abandoned factory perceive? How do bees react to pesticides? What kind of stress do animals
exploited by the army feel? Animal artists, philosophers, victims and rebels, the projects presented question the blurred boundaries between the innate and the acquired, wilderness and domesticity, nature and culture, submission and freedom, science and fiction.
