Alice Springs. Retrospektive
Die Ausstellung ist ein Partnerprojekt der internationalen Triennale der Fotografie RAY.

Anlässlich des 1 00. Geburtstags von June Newton alias Alice Springs im letzten Jahr wurden über 200 Fotografien von der Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin neu zusammengetragen. Diese teilweise spektakulären Ergebnisse werden in den Opelvillen vorgestellt.
Unter dem Pseudonym Alice Springs arbeitete June Newton (1923-2021) seit 1970 als Fotografin. Am Anfang des eigenen Oeuvres stand eine Grippe ihres Mannes Helmut Newtons. Danach entstanden zahlreiche Porträts, Menschenbilder voller Empathie, die bis heute die für Alice Springs so charakteristische Mischung aus Einfühlung und Neugierde auf ihre Zeitgenossen transportieren.
In Kooperation mit der Helmut Newton Foundation, Berlin. Im Anschluss wird die Ausstellung vom 15. September 2024 bis 2. Februar 2025 im Stiftung Museum Schloss Moyland zu sehen sein.
À l'occasion du 100e anniversaire de June Newton, alias Alice Springs, l'année dernière, plus de 200 photographies ont été réassemblées par la Helmut Newton Foundation à Berlin. Ces résultats, parfois spectaculaires, sont présentés dans les Opelvillen.
Sous le pseudonyme d'Alice Springs, June Newton (1923-2021) a travaillé comme photographe depuis 1970. Au début de sa propre œuvre, elle a été victime de la grippe de son mari Helmut Newton. Elle a ensuite réalisé de nombreux portraits, des images humaines pleines d'empathie qui véhiculent encore aujourd'hui le mélange d'empathie et de curiosité envers ses contemporains si caractéristique d'Alice Springs.
En coopération avec la Helmut Newton Foundation, Berlin. L'exposition sera ensuite présentée du 15 septembre 2024 au 2 février 2025 à la fondation Museum Schloss Moyland.
L'exposition est un projet partenaire de la Triennale internationale de la photographie RAY.
In occasione del centesimo compleanno di June Newton, alias Alice Springs, lo scorso anno, la Fondazione Helmut Newton di Berlino ha raccolto oltre 200 nuove fotografie. Questi risultati, alcuni dei quali spettacolari, saranno presentati all'Opelvillen.
June Newton (1923-2021) ha lavorato come fotografa con lo pseudonimo di Alice Springs a partire dal 1970. La sua opera personale è iniziata quando il marito Helmut Newton si è ammalato di influenza. In seguito, ha creato numerosi ritratti, immagini di persone piene di empatia, che ancora oggi trasmettono la caratteristica miscela di empatia e curiosità di Alice Springs nei confronti dei suoi contemporanei.
In collaborazione con la Fondazione Helmut Newton di Berlino. La mostra sarà poi esposta alla Fondazione Museum Schloss Moyland dal 15 settembre 2024 al 2 febbraio 2025.

To mark the 100th birthday of June Newton, alias Alice Springs, last year, the Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin has compiled over 200 new photographs. These results, some of which are spectacular, will be presented in the Opelvillen.
June Newton (1923-2021) worked as a photographer under the pseudonym Alice Springs from 1970 onwards. Her own oeuvre began when her husband Helmut Newton caught the flu. After that, she produced numerous portraits, images of people full of empathy, which still convey Alice Springs' characteristic mixture of empathy and curiosity about her contemporaries.
In cooperation with the Helmut Newton Foundation, Berlin. The exhibition will then be on display at the Museum Schloss Moyland Foundation from September 15, 2024 to February 2, 2025.
The exhibition is a partner project of the international photography triennial RAY.
