Das Festival Photo Marseille ist die erste Veranstaltung in Marseille, die ganz der zeitgenössischen Fotografie gewidmet ist. Seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 2011 hat sich das Festival zum Ziel gesetzt, junge Talente zu entdecken, insbesondere mit dem Prix Maison Blanche, und anerkannte Fotografen der internationalen (Martin Parr, Bernd & Hilla Becher, Robert Frank, Stephen Shore) und seit 2015 auch der nationalen (Franck Pourcel, André Mérian, Geoffroy Mathieu, Monique Deregibus, Yohanne Lamoulère, Camille Fallet, Eric Bourret) zeitgenössischen Szene ins Rampenlicht zu stellen. Die Veranstaltung stellt somit eine Verbindung zwischen der Geschichte der Fotografie und ihren aktuellen Praktiken her, und zwar durch Ausstellungen und pädagogische Maßnahmen für das Publikum (mediatisierte Besichtigungen, Workshops, Vorträge).
Le festival Photo Marseille est la première manifestation entièrement dédiée à la photographie contemporaine à Marseille. Depuis sa création en 2011 le festival se donne comme axes forts la découverte de jeunes talents avec le Prix Maison Blanche notamment, et la mise en lumière de photographes reconnus de la scène contemporaine internationale (Martin Parr, Bernd & Hilla Becher, Robert Frank, Stephen Shore ) et nationale depuis 2015 (Franck Pourcel, André Mérian, Geoffroy Mathieu, Monique Deregibus, Yohanne Lamoulère, Camille Fallet, Eric Bourret). La manifestation fait ainsi le lien entre l’histoire de la photographie et ses pratiques actuelles à travers des expositions et des actions pédagogiques auprès du public (visites médiatisées, ateliers, conférences).
Il festival Photo Marseille è il primo evento interamente dedicato alla fotografia contemporanea a Marsiglia. Dalla sua creazione nel 2011, il festival si è concentrato sulla scoperta di giovani talenti, in particolare con il Premio Maison Blanche, e sulla valorizzazione di fotografi noti sulla scena contemporanea internazionale (Martin Parr, Bernd & Hilla Becher, Robert Frank, Stephen Shore) e, dal 2015, sulla scena nazionale (Franck Pourcel, André Mérian, Geoffroy Mathieu, Monique Deregibus, Yohanne Lamoulère, Camille Fallet, Eric Bourret). L'evento collega la storia della fotografia con le pratiche attuali attraverso mostre e attività educative per il pubblico (visite mediate, workshop, conferenze).
The Photo Marseille festival is the first event entirely dedicated to contemporary photography in Marseille. Since its creation in 2011, the festival has focused on the discovery of young talent, notably with the Maison Blanche Prize, and on highlighting recognized photographers from the international contemporary scene (Martin Parr, Bernd & Hilla Becher, Robert Frank, Stephen Shore) and, since 2015, from the national scene (Franck Pourcel, André Mérian, Geoffroy Mathieu, Monique Deregibus, Yohanne Lamoulère, Camille Fallet, Eric Bourret). The event thus makes the link between the history of photography and its current practices through exhibitions and educational activities for the public (mediated visits, workshops, conferences).
