Die sechste Ausgabe von Les Femmes s'exposent setzt die Kontinuität eines jährlichen Treffens der Fotografie fort, das auch ein Ort der Reflexion über den Beruf und insbesondere über den Status der Fotografinnen sein soll.
Die Welt der Fotografie hat sich in den letzten zwanzig Jahren mit dem Aufkommen der Digitaltechnik grundlegend verändert. Der Einbruch der Künstlichen Intelligenz (KI) stellt eine neue große Herausforderung für die Akteure der Fotografie dar. Wir erleben eine Beschleunigung des Fortschritts, die den Wahrheitsgehalt von Informationen aufgrund der Manipulation von Bildern, die manchmal nicht mehr zu unterscheiden sind, noch stärker in Frage stellen wird. Die potenziellen Auswirkungen auf den ohnehin schon prekären Beruf des Fotografen - vor allem für Frauen - sind besorgniserregend. Die Relevanz der Themen und das künstlerische Schaffen werden mehr denn je zentral bleiben, um weiterhin Sichtbarkeit zu erlangen.
In diesem Jahr widmet das Festival der iranischen Fotojournalistin Forough Alaei eine Ausstellung. In ihrem Land gibt es eine Generation von jungen, politisch engagierten Frauen, die beginnen, sich als Bewegung zu strukturieren. Die Fotografin hat diese Heldinnen mit ihrem Objektiv eingefangen, die unter Einsatz ihres Lebens der ständigen Männerherrschaft trotzen, die von der ultrakonservativen Regierung in einem Iran auferlegt wird, der sich nun inmitten einer beispiellosen Wirtschaftskrise befindet.
Das Programm 2023 erzählt durch Kunst, Reportagen und Dokumentarfilme auf immer wieder unterschiedliche Weise von unserer Zeit, die von tiefgreifenden Umwälzungen geprägt ist: Klimawandel, soziale und wirtschaftliche Ungleichheiten, Überalterung unserer Gesellschaften usw. Das Programm 2023 ist eine der größten Herausforderungen, die die Welt zu bewältigen hat.
Cette sixième édition des Femmes s’exposent s’installe dans la continuité, celle d’un rendez-vous annuel de la photographie qui se veut aussi un espace de réflexion sur le métier et, plus particulièrement, sur le statut des femmes photographes.
Le monde de la photo a connu ces vingt dernières années des évolutions profondes avec l’arrivée du numérique. L’irruption de l’Intelligence artificielle (IA) est un nouveau défi majeur pour les acteurs de la photographie. Nous assistons à une accélération du progrès qui va davantage questionner la véracité de l’information, à cause des manipulations des images, parfois indiscernables. Les répercussions potentielles sur le métier de photographe, déjà précaire – pour les femmes, surtout –, sont préoccupantes. La pertinence des sujets et la création artistique resteront plus que jamais centrales pour continuer à avoir de la visibilité.
Cette année, le Festival consacre une exposition à la photojournaliste iranienne Forough Alaei. Son pays voit une génération de jeunes femmes engagées politiquement, qui commencent à se structurer en mouvement. La photographe a saisi à travers son objectif ces héroïnes qui défient, au risque de leur vie, la perpétuelle domination des hommes imposée par le gouvernement ultraconservateur dans un Iran, à présent, au coeur d’une crise économique sans précédent.
La programmation 2023 raconte de façon toujours aussi diverse à travers le prisme de l’art, du reportage ou du documentaire notre époque traversée par de profonds bouleversements : dérèglement climatique, inégalités sociales et économiques, vieillissement de nos sociétés, etc.
Questa sesta edizione di Femmes s'exposent è la continuazione di un evento fotografico annuale che è anche uno spazio di riflessione sulla professione e, più in particolare, sulla condizione delle donne fotografe.
Il mondo della fotografia ha subito profondi cambiamenti negli ultimi vent'anni con l'arrivo della tecnologia digitale. L'irruzione dell'intelligenza artificiale (AI) rappresenta una nuova grande sfida per chi si occupa di fotografia. Stiamo assistendo a un'accelerazione del progresso che metterà ulteriormente in discussione la veridicità delle informazioni, a causa della manipolazione delle immagini, talvolta indistinguibili. Le potenziali ripercussioni sulla professione di fotografo, già precaria - soprattutto per le donne - sono preoccupanti. La rilevanza dei soggetti e della creazione artistica resterà più che mai centrale per continuare ad avere visibilità.
Quest'anno il Festival dedica una mostra alla fotoreporter iraniana Forough Alaei. Il suo Paese è testimone di una generazione di giovani donne politicamente impegnate che stanno iniziando a formare un movimento. Attraverso il suo obiettivo, la fotografa ha immortalato queste eroine che sfidano, a rischio della loro vita, il dominio perpetuo degli uomini imposto dal governo ultraconservatore in un Iran che ora è al centro di una crisi economica senza precedenti.
Il programma 2023 racconta la storia della nostra epoca, segnata da profondi sconvolgimenti: il cambiamento climatico, le disuguaglianze sociali ed economiche, l'invecchiamento della società, ecc.
This sixth edition of Femmes s'exposent is a continuation of an annual photography event that is also a space for reflection on the profession and, more particularly, on the status of women photographers.
The world of photography has undergone profound changes over the last twenty years with the arrival of digital technology. The irruption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a new major challenge for the actors of photography. We are witnessing an acceleration of progress that will further question the veracity of information, because of the manipulation of images, sometimes indiscernible. The potential repercussions on the profession of photographer, already precarious - especially for women - are worrying. The relevance of the subjects and the artistic creation will remain more than ever central to continue to have visibility.
This year, the Festival is dedicating an exhibition to the Iranian photojournalist Forough Alaei. Her country is seeing a generation of young politically engaged women who are beginning to form a movement. The photographer has captured through her lens these heroines who defy, at the risk of their lives, the perpetual domination of men imposed by the ultraconservative government in an Iran, now, at the heart of an unprecedented economic crisis.
The 2023 program tells the story of our era, which is marked by profound upheavals: climate change, social and economic inequalities, the aging of our societies, etc., in a way that is as diverse as ever, through the prism of art, reportage and documentary.
