Der FOTOHOF zeigt in dieser Ausstellung des »Wolf Suschitzky Fotopreis 2023« Werke der beiden Gewinnerinnen Moira Lovell (GB) und Olivia Coeln (A) und je 4 Künstler:innen der Shortlist aus beiden Ländern.
Thema des Preises war »Im Augenblick gefangen / Capturing the Moment«. Das Österreichische Kulturforum London hat den Preis 2018 nach dem Tod von Wolf Suschitzky (1912-2016) ins Leben gerufen. In Anbetracht der doppelten Natur von Suschitzkys Identität richtet sich der Preis an Fotograf:innen, die in Großbritannien oder in Österreich leben. Der Preis wurde von einer Jury mit Fachleuten aus Österreich und Großbritannien vergeben. Ihr gehörten Carla Mitchell (Four Corners Gallery, London), Clare Grafik (The Photographers' Gallery London), Prof. Gabriele Rothemann (Klasse Fotografie Universität für angewandte Kunst, Vienna), Katharina Manojlovic & Anja Manfredi (Schule Friedl Kubelka, Vienna), Kurt Kaindl (FOTOHOF, Salzburg), Nela Eggenberger (EIKON Chefredaktion, Wien), Val Williams (UAL Professor of the History and Culture of Photography) und Peter Suschitzky (representing the Suschitzky Family) an. Das FOTOHOF>ARCHIV beherbergt den Nachlass von Wolf Suschitzky, daher wird der Preis als Kooperation der beiden Institutionen Austrian Cultural Forum London und dem FOTOHOF in Salzburg präsentiert.
Dans le cadre de cette exposition du "Prix de la photographie Wolf Suschitzky 2023", la FOTOHOF présente les œuvres des deux lauréates Moira Lovell (GB) et Olivia Coeln (A) ainsi que de quatre artistes de chaque pays figurant sur la liste des finalistes.
Le thème du prix était "Capturing the Moment". Le Forum culturel autrichien de Londres a créé ce prix en 2018 après le décès de Wolf Suschitzky (1912-2016). Compte tenu de la double nature de l'identité de Suschitzky, le prix s'adresse aux photographes vivant en Grande-Bretagne ou en Autriche. Le prix a été décerné par un jury composé d'experts autrichiens et britanniques. Il était composé de Carla Mitchell (Four Corners Gallery, Londres), Clare Grafik (The Photographers' Gallery, Londres), Prof. Gabriele Rothemann (classe de photographie à l'université des arts appliqués de Vienne), Katharina Manojlovic & Anja Manfredi (école Friedl Kubelka, Vienne), Kurt Kaindl (FOTOHOF, Salzbourg), Nela Eggenberger (rédaction en chef de EIKON, Vienne), Val Williams (professeur UAL d'histoire et de culture de la photographie) et Peter Suschitzky (représentant la famille Suschitzky). Le FOTOHOF>ARCHIV abrite l'héritage de Wolf Suschitzky, c'est pourquoi le prix est présenté en coopération entre les deux institutions Austrian Cultural Forum London et FOTOHOF à Salzbourg.
In questa mostra del "Premio fotografico Wolf Suschitzky 2023", il FOTOHOF espone le opere delle due vincitrici Moira Lovell (GB) e Olivia Coeln (A) e di 4 artisti selezionati per ogni paese.
Il tema del premio era "Im Augenblick gefangen / Capturing the Moment". Il Forum culturale austriaco di Londra ha istituito il premio nel 2018 in seguito alla morte di Wolf Suschitzky (1912-2016). Data la duplice natura dell'identità di Suschitzky, il premio è rivolto a fotografi residenti nel Regno Unito o in Austria. Il premio è stato assegnato da una giuria di esperti provenienti dall'Austria e dal Regno Unito. Era composta da Carla Mitchell (Four Corners Gallery, Londra), Clare Grafik (The Photographers' Gallery Londra), il prof. Gabriele Rothemann (Corso di Fotografia, Università di Arti Applicate, Vienna), Katharina Manojlovic e Anja Manfredi (Scuola Friedl Kubelka, Vienna), Kurt Kaindl (FOTOHOF, Salisburgo), Nela Eggenberger (caporedattore di EIKON, Vienna), Val Williams (professore di Storia e Cultura della Fotografia dell'UAL) e Peter Suschitzky (in rappresentanza della famiglia Suschitzky). Il FOTOHOF>ARCHIVE ospita il patrimonio di Wolf Suschitzky, motivo per cui il premio è presentato in collaborazione tra l'Austrian Cultural Forum di Londra e il FOTOHOF di Salisburgo.
In this exhibition of the "Wolf Suschitzky Photography Prize 2023", FOTOHOF shows works by the two winners Moira Lovell (GB) and Olivia Coeln (A) and 4 artists from both countries from the shortlist. The theme of the award was »Im Augenblick gefangen / Capturing the moment«.
The Austrian Cultural Forum London established the prize in 2018 following the death of Wolf Suschitzky (1912-2016). Given the dual nature of Suschitzky's identity, the prize is aimed at photographers living in the UK or Austria. The prize was awarded by a jury of experts from Austria and the UK. The jury consisted of Carla Mitchell (Four Corners Gallery, London), Clare Grafik (The Photographers' Gallery London), Prof. Gabriele Rothemann (Photography Class University of Applied Arts, Vienna), Katharina Manojlovic & Anja Manfredi (Friedl Kubelka School, Vienna), Kurt Kaindl (FOTOHOF, Salzburg), Nela Eggenberger (EIKON Editor in Chief, Wien), Val Williams (UAL Professor of the History and Culture of Photography) and Peter Suschitzky (representing the Suschitzky Family).FOTOHOF>ARCHIVE houses the estate of Wolf Suschitzky, which is why the prize is presented as a co-operation between the two institutions Austrian Cultural Forum London and FOTOHOF in Salzburg.
