Unter dem Titel „Selected Works 1991 - 2022“ zeigt die Schau einen Auszug aus seinem Schaffen der letzten 30 Jahre. Dabei kommen seine berühmten wie skulpturen Aktkompositionen genauso zum Tragen wie seine minimalistisch arrangierten Porträts.
Museal, dem einzelnen Exponat Raum gebend, erwartet die BesucherInnen eine meditative Raumwirkung, mit Hilfe derer man sich auf das Werk Bitesnich einlassen kann, ohne der alltäglichen Bilderflut zu begegnen. Starke Porträts wie von Philip Glass oder Anthony Quinn stehen ballethafte Körperlandschaften gegenüber – das Auge ruht und wird gleichzeit stimuliert.
Bereits 1988 begann Bitesnich mit der Fotografie, über die ersten zehn Jahren in einem intensiven Ausbildungs- und Trainingsprozess. Mit der Zeit spezialisierte und fokussierte sich der Fotograf immer mehr auf die Aktfotografie, fand durch eine starke Kontrastierung und einen reduzierten Bildaufbau seine visuelle Sprache und erlangte in den späten 1990er Jahren ein weltweites Renommée.
Während seine Körper- und Portraitaufnahmen vorrangig im Studio als S/W-Fotografien entstehen, hegt Bitesnich auch eine große Passion für Street- und Reisefotografie. Zumeist in Farbe.

En laissant de la place à chaque pièce d'exposition, les visiteurs peuvent s'attendre à un effet d'espace méditatif qui permet de s'imprégner de l'œuvre de Bitesnich sans être confronté au flot d'images quotidien. Des portraits forts comme ceux de Philip Glass ou d'Anthony Quinn s'opposent à des paysages de corps de balle - l'œil se repose et est stimulé en même temps.
Bitesnich a commencé à photographier en 1988 déjà, au cours des dix premières années d'un processus de formation et d'entraînement intensif. Avec le temps, le photographe s'est spécialisé et focalisé de plus en plus sur la photographie de nus, a trouvé son langage visuel grâce à un fort contraste et à une construction d'image réduite et a acquis une renommée mondiale à la fin des années 1990.
Alors que ses photos de corps et de portraits sont principalement réalisées en studio en noir et blanc, Bitesnich nourrit également une grande passion pour la photographie de rue et de voyage. Le plus souvent en couleur.

Bitesnich ha iniziato a fotografare già nel 1988 e nei primi dieci anni ha seguito un intenso processo di formazione e addestramento. Nel corso del tempo, il fotografo si è specializzato e concentrato sempre di più sulla fotografia di nudo, ha trovato il suo linguaggio visivo attraverso un forte contrasto e una composizione ridotta delle immagini, e ha raggiunto una fama mondiale alla fine degli anni Novanta.

Under the title "Selected Works 1991 - 2022" the show presents an excerpt from his work of the last 30 years. His famous and sculptural nude compositions are just as important as his minimalist portraits.

Bitesnich began photography as early as 1988, over the first ten years in an intensive process of education and training. Over time, the photographer specialized and focused more and more on nude photography, finding his visual language through strong contrasting and reduced image composition, gaining a worldwide reputation in the late 1990s.
While his body and portrait work is primarily done in the studio as B&W photographs, Bitesnich also has a great passion for street and travel photography. Mostly in color.
