Photoforum ist stolz darauf, in der Gruppenausstellung Prix Photoforum 2023 die Arbeiten von elf herausragenden Kunstschaffenden zu präsentieren. Die Positionen beschäftigen sich mit den drängenden Problemen unserer Zeit. Gemeinsam erkunden und erweitern sie die Grenzen dessen, was Fotografie heute ist und sein kann.
Als vielfältige Gruppe von Kunstschaffenden präsentiert jede:r von ihnen eine eigene visuelle Sprache. Was sie gemeinsam haben, ist ihr kritischer Blick auf die Welt um uns herum. Sie nutzen das Medium der Fotografie, um gesellschaftliche Fragestellungen und aktuelle Probleme in der Welt zu hinterfragen. Gleichzeitig erforschen sie, wie sich diese Themen auf persönlicher Ebene auswirken, wobei sie zwischen lokaler, historischer, symbolischer, emotionaler und körperlicher Perspektive navigieren.
Die Teilnehmenden der Ausstellung wurden durch den jährlichen Open Call des Prix Photoforum ausgewählt. 130 Kunstschaffende aus allen Bereichen der Fotografie haben ihre Arbeiten eingereicht. Der Prix Photoforum ist bekannt für seine Offenheit gegenüber Kunstschaffenden aus allen Bereichen der Fotografie, unabhängig von Nationalität, Alter oder Karrierestufe. Unsere Jury, bestehend aus Daniel Blochwitz (freiberuflicher Kurator, Dozent, Publizist und Berater), Federica Chiocchetti (Direktorin Museum of Fine Arts Le Locle), Brigitte Lustenberger (Künstlerin, Fotohistorikerin, Vorstandsmitglied), Yann Mingard (Fotograf, Vorstandsmitglied) und Amélie Schüle (Direktorin Photoforum), die elf Positionen für die Ausstellung sowie die diesjährigen Preisträgerinnen Laura Gauch (1. Preis) und Naara Bahler (2. Preis) ausgewählt.
Le Photoforum est fier de présenter, dans l’exposition collective Prix Photoforum 2023, les œuvres de onze artistes exceptionnelles. Ces artistes abordent les problèmes pressants de notre époque et, ensemble, explorent et élargissent les limites de ce que la photographie est et peut être aujourd’hui.
En tant que groupe diversifié, chaque artiste présente son propre langage visuel. Ce qui les unit, c’est leur regard critique sur le monde qui nous entoure en utilisant le médium de la photographie pour remettre en question les problématiques sociétales et les enjeux actuels. Parallèlement, leurs projets explorent comment ces thèmes ont un impact au niveau personnel, en naviguant entre des perspectives locales, historiques, symboliques, émotionnelles et corporelles.
Les participantes à l'exposition ont été sélectionnés par le biais de l'appel ouvert annuel du Prix Photoforum. 130 artistes de tous horizons de la photographie ont soumis leurs œuvres. Le Prix Photoforum est reconnu pour son ouverture envers les artistes de tous horizons de la photographie, indépendamment de leur nationalité, de leur âge ou de leur stade de carrière. Notre jury, composé de Daniel Blochwitz (commissaire d'exposition indépendant, enseignant, écrivain et conseiller), Federica Chiocchetti (directrice du Musée des Beaux-Arts du Locle), Brigitte Lustenberger (artiste, historienne de la photographie, membre du comité), Yann Mingard (photographe, membre du comité) et Amélie Schüle (directrice du Photoforum), a sélectionné onze projets pour l'exposition ainsi que les lauréates de cette année, Laura Gauch (1er prix) et Naara Bahler (2e prix).
Photoforum è orgoglioso di presentare il lavoro di undici artisti di spicco nella mostra collettiva Prix Photoforum 2023. Le posizioni affrontano i problemi urgenti del nostro tempo. Insieme, esplorano ed espandono i confini di ciò che la fotografia è e può essere oggi.
Essendo un gruppo eterogeneo di artisti, ognuno di loro presenta un proprio linguaggio visivo. Ciò che li accomuna è la loro visione critica del mondo che ci circonda. Usano il mezzo fotografico per analizzare le questioni sociali e i problemi attuali del mondo. Allo stesso tempo, esplorano il modo in cui questi problemi si manifestano a livello personale, navigando tra prospettive locali, storiche, simboliche, emotive e fisiche.
I partecipanti alla mostra sono stati selezionati attraverso l'Open Call annuale del Prix Photoforum. 130 artisti di tutti i settori della fotografia hanno presentato le loro opere. Il Prix Photoforum è noto per la sua apertura agli artisti di tutti i settori della fotografia, indipendentemente dalla nazionalità, dall'età o dalla fase della carriera. La nostra giuria, composta da Daniel Blochwitz (curatore freelance, docente, pubblicista e consulente), Federica Chiocchetti (direttrice del Museo di Belle Arti di Le Locle), Brigitte Lustenberger (artista, storica della fotografia, membro del consiglio di amministrazione), Yann Mingard (fotografo, membro del consiglio di amministrazione) e Amélie Schüle (direttrice di Photoforum), ha selezionato le undici posizioni per la mostra e i vincitori del premio di quest'anno Laura Gauch (1° premio) e Naara Bahler (2° premio).
Photoforum is proud to present, in the group exhibition Prix Photoforum 2032, the works of eleven outstanding artists. These artists address the pressing issues of our time. Together, they explore and expand the boundaries of what photography is and can be today.
As a diverse group of artists, each of them presents their own visual language. What unites them is their critical view of the world around us. They use the medium of photography to question societal issues and current challenges in the world. At the same time, they explore how these themes impact on a personal level, navigating between local, historical, symbolic, emotional, and physical perspectives.
The participants in the exhibition were selected through the annual open call of Prix Photoforum. 130 artists from all areas of photography submitted their works. Prix Photoforum is known for its openness to artists from all fields of photography, regardless of nationality, age, or career stage. Our jury, consisting of Daniel Blochwitz (freelance curator, lecturer, writer, and consultant), Federica Chiocchetti (Director of the Museum of Fine Arts Le Locle), Brigitte Lustenberger (artist, photo historian, board member), Yann Mingard (photographer, board member), and Amelie Schüle (Director of Photoforum), selected eleven positions for the exhibition, as well as this year's awardees, Laura Gauch (1st prize) and Naara Bahler (2nd prize).
