Hommage à Luca Zanier ist eine Ausstellung zu Ehren des Fotografen, dessen Arbeit SPACE AND ENERGY 2015 bei FOCALE ausgestellt wurde und der uns leider im vergangenen Jahr verlassen hat. Es handelt sich um einen Rückblick auf seine bemerkenswerten Arbeiten rund um die Hochburgen der Macht und die Kehrseite der Energieindustrie: SPACE AND ENERGY, CORRIDORS OF POWER und PAPERWORLD/CYBERWORLD.
Luca Zanier gelingt es, den Blick des Betrachters zu fesseln, indem er ihn an unbekannte oder sogar vertrauliche Orte führt, an denen keine Menschen anwesend sind. So gelang es ihm, die rätselhaften und ungewöhnlichen Aspekte dieser von und für Menschen geschaffenen Welten in seinen Bildern wiederzugeben und jeden Betrachter zu magnetisieren bzw. anzusprechen.
"Meine Absicht ist es, [diese Orte der Macht] auf künstlerische Weise sichtbar zu machen. In diesem Prozess tritt die Information als solche in den Hintergrund. Es geht vielmehr darum, Perspektiven, Farben und Formen zu fotografieren. Was ich anstrebe, ist die Auflösung der Technik in der Ästhetik. Der Betrachter sieht sich mit einem ultrakomplexen System konfrontiert, von dem unser modernes Leben abhängt, einem System, das uns gleichzeitig fasziniert und Angst macht". Luca Zanier
Hommage à Luca Zanier est une exposition en l’honneur du photographe, dont le travail SPACE AND ENERGY avait été exposé à FOCALE en 2015 et qui nous a malheureusement quitté l’année dernière. Il s’agit d’un retour sur ses travaux remarquables autour des hauts lieux du pouvoir et l’envers de l’industrie énergétique : SPACE AND ENERGY, CORRIDORS OF POWER et PAPERWORLD/CYBERWORLD.
Au travers de ses images, Luca Zanier a su captiver notre regard en l’entraînant dans des lieux méconnus voire confidentiels tous dépourvus de présence humaine. Il est ainsi parvenu à restituer dans ses prises de vues les aspects énigmatiques et insolites de ces univers créés par et pour l’être humain et à magnétiser respectivement interpeller tout spectateur.
« Mon intention est de rendre visible, d’une manière artistique, [ces lieux de pouvoir]. Dans ce processus, l’information en tant que telle passe au second plan. Il s’agit plutôt de photographier des perspectives, des couleurs et des formes. Ce que je cherche, c’est la dissolution de la technique dans l’esthétique. Le spectateur se trouve confronté à un système ultracomplexe duquel dépend notre vie moderne, un système qui, en même temps, nous fascine et nous fait peur ». Luca Zanier
Hommage à Luca Zanier è una mostra in onore del fotografo, il cui lavoro SPACE AND ENERGY è stato esposto alla FOCALE nel 2015 e che purtroppo è scomparso lo scorso anno. Si tratta di un ritorno al suo notevole lavoro sugli alti luoghi del potere e sull'altra faccia dell'industria energetica: SPACE AND ENERGY, CORRIDORS OF POWER e PAPERWORLD/CYBERWORLD.
Attraverso le sue immagini, Luca Zanier è riuscito a catturare il nostro sguardo portandoci in luoghi poco conosciuti o addirittura riservati, tutti privi di qualsiasi presenza umana. Nei suoi scatti è riuscito a cogliere gli aspetti enigmatici e insoliti di questi mondi creati dall'uomo e per l'uomo e a magnetizzare e coinvolgere lo spettatore.
"La mia intenzione è quella di rendere visibili [questi luoghi di potere] in modo artistico. In questo processo, l'informazione in quanto tale passa in secondo piano. Si tratta piuttosto di fotografare prospettive, colori e forme. Quello che cerco è la dissoluzione della tecnica nell'estetica. Lo spettatore si trova di fronte a un sistema ultracomplesso da cui dipende la nostra vita moderna, un sistema che ci affascina e ci spaventa allo stesso tempo. Luca Zanier
Hommage à Luca Zanier is an exhibition in honor of the photographer, whose work SPACE AND ENERGY was exhibited at FOCALE in 2015 and who sadly passed away last year. It's a look back at his remarkable work on the upper reaches of power and the other side of the energy industry: SPACE AND ENERGY, CORRIDORS OF POWER and PAPERWORLD/CYBERWORLD.
Through his images, Luca Zanier captivates the eye by taking us into little-known or even confidential places, all devoid of human presence. His images capture the enigmatic and unusual aspects of these universes created by and for man, magnetizing and engaging the viewer.
"My intention is to make [these places of power] visible in an artistic way. In this process, information as such takes a back seat. It's more a question of photographing perspectives, colors and shapes. What I'm looking for is the dissolution of technique into aesthetics. The viewer is confronted with an ultra-complex system on which our modern lives depend, a system that both fascinates and frightens us. Luca Zanier
