L’altitude des orties

Passanten, fasziniert, überrascht, neugierig, beobachten durch die Fenster eines engen Raumes eine Frau, einen Mann, die vor einem Computer sitzen, umgeben von einer kleinen Zusatzheizung und begleitet von einer Flasche Rum und einer Thermoskanne mit Tee, die sie während der rauen Tage und Nächte des Februars warm halten sollen. An der Tür können diese Passanten ein Schild lesen: "Keine Fütterung der Autoren ohne ihre Zustimmung".
Nacheinander stellen sich diese Männer und Frauen abwechselnd einer eher verrückten Herausforderung: auf ungewöhnlichen 1,2 Quadratmetern - einer alten Telefonzelle im Freiburger Stadtteil Alt - einen Roman mit acht Stimmen und 16 Händen über 50 Stunden am Stück zu schreiben. Denn diese Schriftsteller haben der Kälte und der Zugluft getrotzt, sich den Blicken der Passanten und den Zwängen des Ortes unterworfen, um ein kollektives und einzigartiges Werk zu schaffen.
Das war im Februar 2019. La Cabinerie, die erste Telefonzelle, die in Freiburg in eine Kunst- und Kuriositätengalerie umgewandelt wurde, hat sich mit dem Salon du livre romand de Fribourg zusammengetan, um diese Performance von acht Schriftstellern zu produzieren.
Alan Humerose, Fotograf und Gründer von La Cabinerie, fotografierte diese 50 Stunden eingeschränkter Schreibarbeit ohne Unterbrechung. Er spielt mit den Lichtveränderungen während dieser drei Tage und zwei Nächte, den Reflexionen und Transparenzen auf den Fenstern der Kabine, dem Spiel der Nuancen, in dem sich Äste mit den Streifen eines Heizkörpers vermischen, um ein Gesicht besser zu verschlucken. Er gibt eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Bilder, eine ungeahnte Vielfalt von Fotografien einer Szene, die immer identisch zu sein scheint: eine Konzentration von Schriftstellern, die in einem Käfig am Rande eines Karussells eingesperrt sind… Die Fotografie dreht sich um die Lichter.
Und dieser so entstandene Roman L'altitude des orties, der von den Fotografien begleitet wird, wird von Cousu Mouche veröffentlicht.
Des passants intrigués, surpris, curieux, observent, à travers les vitres d’un espace confiné, une femme, un homme, assis face à un ordinateur, entouré d’un petit chauffage d’appoint et accompagné d’une bouteille de rhum et d’un thermos de thé, destinés à leur tenir chaud pendant des journées et des nuits crues d’un mois de février. Sur la porte, ces passants peuvent lire une pancarte: «Défense de nourrir les auteurs sans leur accord.»
A tour de rôle, ces femmes et ces hommes se succèdent pour réaliser un défi un peu fou: rédiger un roman à huit voix et seize mains pendant 50 heures d’affilée, dans un espace de 1,2 m2 insolite, à savoir une ancienne cabine téléphonique située dans le quartier d’Alt, à Fribourg. Car ces écrivaines et ces écrivains, ont bravé le froid et les courants d’air, se sont soumis au regard des passants et aux contraintes du lieu pour réaliser une oeuvre collective et singulière.
C’était au mois de février 2019. La Cabinerie, première cabine téléphonique à avoir été réaffectée à Fribourg pour devenir une galerie d’art et de curiosités, s’est associée au Salon du livre romand de Fribourg pour réaliser cette performance de huit écrivains.
Alan Humerose, photographe et fondateur de La Cabinerie, a photographié sans discontinuer ces 50 heures d’écriture confinée. Jouant des changements de lumière tout au long de ces trois jours et deux nuits, des reflets et des transparences sur les vitres de la cabine, des jeux de nuances dans lesquels des branchages se mêlent aux stries d’un radiateur pour mieux avaler un visage, il donne ainsi une multitude d’images différentes, une variété insoupçonnée de photographies d’une scène qui semble toujours identique: une concentration d’écrivains enfermés dans une cage au bord d’un rond point… La photographie tourne autour des lumières.
Et ce roman ainsi rédigé, L’altitude des orties, accompagné des photographies, est édité chez Cousu Mouche.
I passanti, incuriositi, sorpresi, curiosi, osservano, attraverso le finestre di uno spazio ristretto, una donna, un uomo, seduti davanti a un computer, circondati da un piccolo riscaldatore ausiliario e accompagnati da una bottiglia di rum e da un thermos di tè, destinato a tenerli al caldo durante le crude giornate e le notti di febbraio. Sulla porta, questi passanti possono leggere un cartello: "Non si dà da mangiare agli autori senza il loro consenso".
Uno dopo l'altro, questi uomini e queste donne si alternano per raccogliere una sfida piuttosto folle: scrivere un romanzo a otto voci e 16 mani per 50 ore alla volta in uno spazio insolito di 1,2 metri quadrati - una vecchia cabina telefonica nel quartiere Alt di Friburgo. Per questi scrittori, infatti, hanno sfidato il freddo e le correnti d'aria, si sono sottomessi allo sguardo dei passanti e alle costrizioni del luogo per produrre un'opera collettiva e singolare.
Questo nel febbraio 2019. La Cabinerie, la prima cabina telefonica riassegnata a Friburgo per diventare una galleria d'arte e di curiosità, si è unita al Salon du livre romand de Fribourg per produrre questa performance di otto scrittori.
Alan Humerose, fotografo e fondatore de La Cabinerie, ha fotografato queste 50 ore di scrittura confinata senza interruzioni. Giocando con i cambiamenti di luce durante questi tre giorni e due notti, i riflessi e le trasparenze sulle finestre della cabina, il gioco di sfumature in cui i rami si mescolano con le striature di un radiatore per inghiottire meglio un volto, regala una moltitudine di immagini diverse, una varietà insospettabile di fotografie di una scena che sembra sempre identica: una concentrazione di scrittori chiusi in una gabbia sul bordo di una rotonda... La fotografia ruota intorno alle luci.
E questo romanzo così scritto, L'altitude des orties, accompagnato dalle fotografie, è pubblicato da Cousu Mouche.
Passers-by, intrigued, surprised, curious, observe, through the windows of a confined space, a woman, a man, sitting in front of a computer, surrounded by a small auxiliary heater and accompanied by a bottle of rum and a thermos of tea, intended to keep them warm during the raw days and nights of February. On the door, these passers-by can read a sign: "No feeding the authors without their consent."
One after the other, these men and women take turns to take up a rather crazy challenge: to write a novel with eight voices and 16 hands for 50 hours at a time in an unusual 1.2 square metre space - an old telephone box in the Alt district of Freiburg. For these writers have braved the cold and the draughts, submitted themselves to the gaze of passers-by and the constraints of the place to produce a collective and singular work.
That was in February 2019. La Cabinerie, the first telephone booth to be reassigned in Fribourg to become a gallery of art and curiosities, joined forces with the Salon du livre romand de Fribourg to produce this performance by eight writers.
Alan Humerose, photographer and founder of La Cabinerie, photographed these 50 hours of confined writing without interruption. Playing with changes in light throughout these three days and two nights, reflections and transparencies on the windows of the cabin, the play of nuances in which branches mix with the streaks of a radiator to better swallow a face, he gives a multitude of different images, an unsuspected variety of photographs of a scene that always seems identical: a concentration of writers locked in a cage on the edge of a roundabout... The photography revolves around the lights.
And this novel thus written, L'altitude des orties, accompanied by the photographs, is published by Cousu Mouche.
