Auf Initiative von José Nicolas / L'Oeil du Douard entstand diese Ausstellung, die reich an Korrespondenzen und imaginären Dialogen zwischen dem tschechischen Meister Jan Saudek und der französischen Fotografin und Soziologin Irène Jonas ist, die beide Anhänger des kolorierten Silberabzugs sind.
Durch die Arbeit mit dem umfangreichen Korpus an Werken von Jan Saudek, der ihm von einem Sammler anvertraut wurde, und durch die Fortsetzung der seit Anfang 2021 bestehenden Zusammenarbeit mit Irène Jonas wird José Nicolas die Evidenz einer Filiation, eines visuellen und künstlerischen Erbes deutlich.
Ikonografische Assoziationen stellen sich ein, Affinitäten bestätigen sich im Laufe der Konsultation der von den beiden Künstlern personalisierten Abzüge.
Und der Wunsch, diesen Dialog Sammlern und anderen Kunstliebhabern anzubieten.
Es bedurfte eines schönen Schattens und des Auges einer einfühlsamen Galeristin, um diese "Duo"-Ausstellung in Szene zu setzen. Lila Rouquet schloss sich daraufhin dem Ausstellungsprojekt an und bot die Zimelien der Remèdes Galerie - die sie 2019 eröffnete - und ihr Gespür für Szenografie für diese originelle Face-to-Face-Ausstellung an.
Im Einklang mit der Linie ihrer Galerie, die sich besonders neuen Ausdrucksformen zeitloser Themen wie dem Körper und der Pflanze widmet, aber auch plastischen Experimenten gewidmet ist, reagierte Lila Rouquet begeistert auf den Vorschlag von José Nicolas.
Die Agentur révélateur, die Irène Jonas seit 2016 begleitet und vertritt, beteiligt sich ebenfalls mit ihrem Fachwissen an dieser Ausstellung.
Und als "kleine Geschichte" sei daran erinnert, dass Irène Jonas die Arbeit von Jan Saudek 1987 anlässlich seiner ersten Retrospektive im Musée d'Art moderne de la Ville de Paris entdeckt hat.
Diese wichtige, dem Tschechen gewidmete Ausstellung hinterließ bei der Fotografin einen tiefen Eindruck und regte sie dazu an, ihre Forschungen über die gemalte Fotografie weiterzuentwickeln.

C’est à l’initiative de José Nicolas / L’Oeil du Douard qu’est née cette exposition riche de correspondances et de dialogues imaginaires entre le maître tchèque Jan Saudek et la photographe et sociologue française Irène Jonas, adeptes l’un et l’autre de l’épreuve argentique colorisée.
En travaillant sur l’important corpus d’oeuvres de Jan Saudek que lui a confié un collectionneur et en poursuivant la collaboration établie avec Irène Jonas depuis début 2021, l’évidence d’une filiation, d’un héritage visuel et artistique, apparaît à José Nicolas.
Des associations iconographiques s’établissent, des affinités se confirment au gré des consultations des tirages personnalisés par les deux artistes.
Et l’envie de proposer ce dialogue aux collectionneurs et autres amateurs d’art.
Il fallait un bel écrin et l’oeil d’une galeriste sensible pour mettre en scène cette exposition «duo». Lila Rouquet s’associe alors au projet de l’exposition et propose les cimaises de la Remèdes Galerie - qu’elle a ouverte en 2019 - et son sens de la scénographie pour ce face-à- face original.
En cohérence avec la ligne de sa galerie, particulièrement consacrée aux nouvelles expressions de thèmes intemporels tels que le corps et le végétal, mais également dédiée aux expérimentations plasticiennes, Lila Rouquet a répondu avec enthousiasme à la proposition de José Nicolas.
L’agence révélateur, qui accompagne et représente Irène Jonas depuis 2016 s’associe également à cette exposition en apportant son expertise.
Et pour la «petite histoire», on retiendra qu’Irène Jonas a découvert le travail de Jan Saudek en 1987, lors de sa première rétrospective au Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris.
Cette importante exposition consacrée au Tchèque a marqué profondément la photographe et l’a incitée à développer ses recherches sur la photographie peinte.

José Nicolas / L'Oeil du Douard ha dato vita a questa mostra ricca di corrispondenze e dialoghi immaginari tra il maestro ceco Jan Saudek e la fotografa e sociologa francese Irène Jonas, entrambi cultori della stampa argentica colorata.
Lavorando sull'ampio corpus di opere di Jan Saudek affidategli da un collezionista e continuando la collaborazione instaurata con Irène Jonas all'inizio del 2021, José Nicolas vede l'evidenza di una filiazione, di un'eredità visiva e artistica.
Le associazioni iconografiche sono state stabilite e le affinità confermate quando i due artisti hanno consultato le loro stampe personalizzate.
E il desiderio di offrire questo dialogo ai collezionisti e agli altri amanti dell'arte.
Per allestire questa mostra "a due" erano necessari una bella cornice e l'occhio di un gallerista sensibile. Lila Rouquet si è unita al progetto espositivo e ha messo a disposizione le pareti della Remèdes Galerie - che ha aperto nel 2019 - e il suo senso della scenografia per questo originale faccia a faccia.
In linea con l'attenzione della sua galleria per le nuove espressioni di temi senza tempo come il corpo e le piante, ma anche dedicata alla sperimentazione nelle arti visive, Lila Rouquet ha risposto con entusiasmo alla proposta di José Nicolas.
Anche l'agenzia Révélateur, che sostiene e rappresenta Irène Jonas dal 2016, contribuisce con la sua esperienza alla mostra.
Per la cronaca, Irène Jonas ha scoperto l'opera di Jan Saudek nel 1987, in occasione della sua prima retrospettiva al Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
Questa grande mostra dedicata al ceco ebbe un effetto profondo sulla fotografa e la incoraggiò a sviluppare la sua ricerca sulla fotografia dipinta.

On the initiative of José Nicolas / L'Oeil du Douard, this exhibition, rich in correspondences and imaginary dialogues, was born between the Czech master Jan Saudek and the French photographer and sociologist Irène Jonas, both adepts of the colorized silver print.
Working on the large corpus of Jan Saudek's work entrusted to him by a collector, and continuing the collaboration established with Irène Jonas in early 2021, José Nicolas sees the evidence of a filiation, a visual and artistic heritage.
Iconographic associations were established, affinities confirmed as the two artists consulted their personalized prints.
And the desire to propose this dialogue to collectors and other art lovers.
A beautiful setting and the eye of a sensitive gallery owner were needed to stage this "duo" exhibition. Lila Rouquet joined the exhibition project and offered the walls of the Remèdes Galerie - which she opened in 2019 - and her sense of scenography for this original face-to-face show.
In keeping with her gallery's focus on new expressions of timeless themes such as the body and plants, but also dedicated to experimentation in the plastic arts, Lila Rouquet responded enthusiastically to José Nicolas' proposal.
The agency révélateur, which has accompanied and represented Irène Jonas since 2016, is also contributing its expertise to this exhibition.
For the record, Irène Jonas discovered Jan Saudek's work in 1987, at his first retrospective at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
