»BRAVO«-Starschnitte. Eine Sammlung von Legenden

Die Ausstellung in den Opelvillen öffnet den Blick in die popkulturelle Stargeschichte der 1960er- bis 2000er-Jahre. Anhand von Sammelobjekten und ausgewählten »BRAVO«-Starschnitten werden Rockstar-Legenden und längst vergessene Sternchen aus Film, Fernsehen und Musik wieder wach. Erinnert wird, wie eine Zeitschrift, die über 25 Jahre eine Auflage von mehr als einer Millionen Exemplaren hatte, Jugendkultur in westdeutschen Zimmern abbildete. Beatles, ABBA, Udo Lindenberg oder James Dean – alle klebten lebensgroß an Wänden von Heranwachsenden.
Für die kuratorische Unterstützung bedanken wir uns bei der Leihgeberin, der Sparkassenstiftung Lüneburg, die im Frühjahr 2017 erstmals in einer Ausstellung unter dem Titel »Der Bravo-Starschnitt« über 100 Starschnitte in der Kunsthalle Lüneburg in der KulturBäckerei zeigte.
L'exposition dans les Opelvillen ouvre les yeux sur l'histoire des stars de la culture pop des années 1960 à 2000. Des objets de collection et une sélection de coupures de stars de "BRAVO" font revivre des légendes de rock stars et des starlettes du cinéma, de la télévision et de la musique oubliées depuis longtemps. On se souvient de la manière dont un magazine, tiré à plus d'un million d'exemplaires pendant 25 ans, représentait la culture des jeunes dans les chambres d'Allemagne de l'Ouest. Beatles, ABBA, Udo Lindenberg ou James Dean - tous étaient collés grandeur nature sur les murs des adolescents.
Nous remercions le prêteur, la Sparkassenstiftung Lüneburg, pour son soutien en tant que conservateur. Au printemps 2017, elle a présenté pour la première fois plus de 100 coupures de stars dans une exposition intitulée "Der Bravo-Starschnitt" à la Kunsthalle Lüneburg dans la KulturBäckerei.
La mostra allestita nell'Opelvillen apre lo sguardo sulla storia delle star della cultura pop dagli anni '60 al 2000. Con l'aiuto di oggetti da collezione e di ritagli selezionati di "BRAVO", vengono riportate in vita le leggende delle rockstar e le star del cinema, della televisione e della musica ormai dimenticate. La mostra ricorda come una rivista che ha avuto una tiratura di oltre un milione di copie in 25 anni ha rappresentato la cultura giovanile nelle camere da letto della Germania Ovest. Beatles, ABBA, Udo Lindenberg o James Dean: tutti erano attaccati a grandezza naturale sulle pareti degli adolescenti.

The exhibition in the Opelvillen opens the view into the pop cultural star history of the 1960s to 2000s. Collectibles and selected "BRAVO" star clippings bring rock star legends and long-forgotten starlets from film, television and music back to life. The exhibition recalls how a magazine that had a circulation of more than one million copies over 25 years depicted youth culture in West German bedrooms. Beatles, ABBA, Udo Lindenberg or James Dean - all of them were stuck life-size on the walls of adolescents.
