Die Ausstellung “Backstage mit Yves und Karl” präsentiert eine faszinierende Auswahl an Fotografien aus dem umfangreichen Archiv des renommierten Hamburger Stern-Fotografen Volker Hinz (1947–2019), die zwischen den 1970er und 1990er Jahren entstanden sind. Tauchen Sie ein in die glamouröse Welt der Mode, der Couturiers und Supermodels, und werfen Sie einen Blick hinter die Kulissen von Modenschauen sowie in die Ateliers der bedeutendsten Designer ihrer Ära – insbesondere in Paris.
Dank seines Tickets als Stern-Fotograf hatte Volker Hinz Zugang zu Bereichen, die normalen Fotojournalisten verschlossen blieben. Schwerpunkt der Ausstellung sind die Backstage Aufnahmen mit Yves Saint Laurent und Karl Lagerfeld, aber auch Motive im privaten Umfeld der Designer. Diese Bilder gewähren uns einen Blick hinter die Kulissen der Haute-Couture-Szene und zeigen die Modeschöpfer mal privat, ganz »ungeschminkt«, aber auch in ihrer Funktion als Kunstfiguren. Volker Hinz beobachtete viele der legendären Designer seiner Zeit. Seinem Stil treu bleibend, ließ er sich von der glitzernden Model- und Modewelt nicht beeindrucken und schaffte es, sehr persönliche, unverstellte Momente festzuhalten. Von besonderem Wert sind diese letzten, von Volker Hinz eigenhändig signierten, monochromen Vintage-Abzügen, die den kulturellen Zeitgeist einer prägenden Epoche in der Modewelt einfangen.

Grâce à son ticket de photographe du magazine Stern, Volker Hinz a eu accès à des domaines auxquels les photojournalistes ordinaires n'ont pas accès. L'exposition met l'accent sur les photos des coulisses avec Yves Saint Laurent et Karl Lagerfeld, mais aussi sur des motifs dans l'environnement privé des designers. Ces visuels nous permettent de jeter un coup d'œil dans les coulisses de la scène de la haute couture et montrent les créateurs de mode en privé, sans fard, mais aussi dans leur fonction de personnages artistiques. Volker Hinz a observé de nombreux créateurs légendaires de son époque. Fidèle à son style, il ne s'est pas laissé impressionner par le monde scintillant du mannequinat et de la mode et a réussi à immortaliser des moments très personnels, sans fard. Ces derniers tirages vintage monochromes, signés de la main de Volker Hinz, sont d'une valeur particulière et capturent l'esprit culturel d'une époque marquante dans le monde de la mode.

Grazie al suo biglietto da visita come fotografo Stern, Volker Hinz aveva accesso a zone che rimanevano chiuse ai normali fotoreporter. La mostra si concentra sugli scatti del backstage con Yves Saint Laurent e Karl Lagerfeld, ma include anche motivi negli ambienti privati degli stilisti. Queste immagini ci danno uno sguardo dietro le quinte della scena dell'alta moda e mostrano gli stilisti in privato, completamente "disadorni", ma anche nella loro funzione di figure artistiche. Volker Hinz ha osservato molti dei leggendari stilisti del suo tempo. Rimanendo fedele al suo stile, non si è lasciato impressionare dallo sfavillante mondo della moda e della modellistica ed è riuscito a catturare momenti molto personali e candidi. Queste ultime stampe vintage monocromatiche, firmate dallo stesso Volker Hinz, sono di particolare valore e catturano lo zeitgeist culturale di un'epoca formativa del mondo della moda.

Thanks to his ticket as a Stern photographer, Volker Hinz had access to areas that remained closed to normal photojournalists. The exhibition focuses on the backstage shots with Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld, but also includes motifs in the designers' private surroundings. These visuals give us a look behind the scenes of the haute couture scene and show the fashion designers sometimes in private, completely "unadorned", but also in their function as art figures. Volker Hinz observed many of the legendary designers of his time. Remaining true to his style, he was not impressed by the glittering world of models and fashion and managed to capture very personal, candid moments. These last monochrome vintage prints, signed by Volker Hinz himself, are of particular value, capturing the cultural zeitgeist of a formative era in the fashion world.
