Beyond enthält sowohl einige von Sloans ikonischen Werken als auch eine Reihe noch nie ausgestellter Bilder und Videoarbeiten und bietet dem Publikum die Möglichkeit, einen umfassenden Überblick über das Werk eines der wichtigsten irischen Künstler zu erhalten, der Sloans gesamte Karriere umfasst. Die Ausstellung zeigt sowohl Sloans charakteristische, von Hand manipulierte konzeptionelle Bilder als auch eine Reihe seiner Dokumentarfotografien und Videoarbeiten.
Die Arbeiten haben einen starken internationalen Bezug, wobei Bilder aus Berlin, Polen, Deutschland, den Golanhöhen, Syrien und Jordanien neben Arbeiten aus Nordirland gezeigt werden.
"Wir freuen uns sehr, Victor Sloan erneut bei Belfast Exposed for Beyond begrüßen zu dürfen, einer breit gefächerten Übersicht über sein Werk aus den letzten vier Jahrzehnten. Diese Ausstellung, die sowohl seine konzeptionellen als auch seine dokumentarischen Arbeiten umfasst, zeigt die außergewöhnliche Bandbreite eines Künstlers, der einen unglaublichen Einfluss auf die irische bildende Kunst ausgeübt hat. Vor allem Sloans analoge Methoden der Bildmanipulation sind eine sofort erkennbare künstlerische Handschrift, die einzigartige, fesselnde Bilder hervorbringt. Die Gegenüberstellung dieser Arbeiten mit einer Auswahl von Sloans Dokumentarfotografie - die von Nordirland bis zu den Golanhöhen reicht - unterstreicht die Tiefe und Breite von Sloans Werk und seine Vielseitigkeit in verschiedenen Formen der Fotografie.
Contenant à la fois certaines des œuvres emblématiques de Sloan et une série d'images et de pièces vidéo jamais exposées, Beyond donne au public la possibilité de voir un large éventail d'œuvres de l'un des principaux artistes irlandais, couvrant l'ensemble de la carrière de Sloan. L'exposition présente à la fois les images conceptuelles manipulées à la main qui sont la marque de fabrique de Sloan et une série de photographies documentaires et d'œuvres vidéo.
Le travail est fortement axé sur l'international, avec des images de Berlin, de Pologne, d'Allemagne, du plateau du Golan, de Syrie et de Jordanie, ainsi que des pièces d'Irlande du Nord.

Containing both some of Sloan’s iconic works and a series of never before exhibited images and video pieces, Beyond gives audiences a chance to view a broad survey of work from one of Ireland’s major artists, spanning Sloan’s entire career. The exhibition features both Sloan’s trademark hand-manipulated conceptual images and a range of his documentary photography and video pieces.
The work has a strong international theme, with images from Berlin, Poland, Germany, The Golan Heights, Syria and Jordan displayed, alongside pieces from Northern Ireland.
