Die Fotokünstler*in Bob Jones setzt sich mit den Bedeutungen und den vielfältigen Zusammenhängen von Identität, Rollenbildern und Körperlichkeit auseinander. Die Ausstellung „Beyond me“ zeigt Fotografien aus Werkserien von 2015 bis heute, die zum einen auf die Beschäftigung der Künstler*in mit dem eigenen Selbst zurückgehen, zum anderen über den Einfluss von gesellschaftlichen Konventionen reflektieren. Traditionelle (Frauen*-)Darstellungen werden in ihrer Arbeit dekonstruiert oder einem ironisierenden Blick unterzogen, wodurch neue Perspektiven auf die Frage nach der eigenen Position im sozialen Geflecht eröffnet werden.
L'artiste photographe Bob Jones s'intéresse aux significations et aux multiples relations entre l'identité, les rôles et la corporalité. L'exposition "Beyond me" présente des photographies issues de séries d'œuvres datant de 2015 à aujourd'hui, qui sont d'une part le fruit de l'intérêt de l'artiste* pour son propre soi, et d'autre part une réflexion sur l'influence des conventions sociales. Les représentations traditionnelles (des femmes*) sont déconstruites dans son travail ou soumises à un regard ironique, ouvrant ainsi de nouvelles perspectives sur la question de sa propre position dans le tissu social.
L'artista fotografica Bob Jones esplora i significati e i diversi contesti dell'identità, dei modelli di ruolo e della fisicità. La mostra "Beyond me" espone fotografie tratte da serie di lavori dal 2015 a oggi, che da un lato risalgono alla preoccupazione dell'artista per il proprio io e dall'altro riflettono sull'influenza delle convenzioni sociali. Le rappresentazioni tradizionali delle (donne*) sono decostruite nel suo lavoro o sottoposte a uno sguardo ironico, aprendo nuove prospettive sulla questione della propria posizione nel tessuto sociale.
Photographic artist Bob Jones explores the meanings and diverse contexts of identity, role models and physicality. The exhibition "Beyond me" shows photographs from series of works from 2015 to the present day, which on the one hand go back to the artist's preoccupation with her own self and on the other hand reflect on the influence of social conventions. Traditional (female) representations are deconstructed in her work or subjected to an ironic gaze, opening up new perspectives on the question of one's own position in the social fabric.
