Die im Spazio Maraini der Villa Malpensata eingerichtete Fotoausstellung UP20 - Unpublished Photo präsentiert vierundzwanzig Werke von sechs jungen Talenten der internationalen zeitgenössischen Fotografie. Dies ist die erste Etappe eines neuen Projekts, das in den kommenden Jahren ein echtes Archiv zeitgenössischer Fotografie in Lugano bilden wird. Mit dem Forschungs- und Ausstellungszyklus "Esovisioni" will MUSEC so seine seit 2005 entwickelte und etablierte Berufung zur zeitgenössischen Fotografie und zur Geschichte der Fotografie erweitern und festigen.
Das Projekt Unpublished Photo wird von MUSEC und der Fondazione culture e musei di Lugano gefördert, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Galerie 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS in Mailand, der wir die Schaffung des gleichnamigen Preises verdanken, der seit 2018 junge Talente der Fotografie aus der ganzen Welt anzieht.
Mit der Ausgabe 2020 will das Museum der Kulturen die Initiative konsolidieren und ihr einen institutionellen Rahmen und eine mittelfristige Entwicklungsperspektive geben, die 2021 zum Neustart des Internationalen Preises führen wird, nach der Pause, die dieses Jahr durch die Pandemie eingelegt wurde.
Unpublished Photo will die wichtigsten Tendenzen in der jungen künstlerischen Fotografie auf internationaler Ebene aufzeigen und bildet in Lugano ein wahres Archiv der zeitgenössischen Fotografie, das neben der Fotosammlung des 19. Jahrhunderts und der Sammlung von Fotografien des Exotismus, die MUSEC bereits besitzt, Platz finden wird.
Das Projekt zielt auch darauf ab, die kulturelle Interaktion zwischen der Schweiz und Italien zu verbessern, indem es dem internationalen Sammeln eine maßgebliche Stütze bietet. Auf diese Weise verbindet die Entdeckung und Weiterentwicklung neuer Trends und neuer Sprachen Lugano und Mailand als privilegierte Vitrinen für aufstrebende Talente in der internationalen Kunstfotografie.
Die UP20 wird von einer Reihe von Begleitveranstaltungen für die Öffentlichkeit begleitet, wie Konferenzen und Treffen mit Künstlern, die von MUSEC in Zusammenarbeit mit der Società Ticinese di Belle Arti organisiert werden. Das aktualisierte Programm wird in der Rubrik Nachrichten und Veranstaltungen veröffentlicht.
Die Ausstellung präsentiert der Öffentlichkeit die Gewinner der Editionen 2018 und 2019 des Unpublished Photo Award.
L'exposition photographique UP20 - Unpublished Photo, installée dans le Spazio Maraini de la Villa Malpensata, présente vingt-quatre œuvres de six jeunes talents de la photographie contemporaine internationale. Il s'agit de la première étape d'un nouveau projet qui, dans les années à venir, constituera une véritable archive de la photographie contemporaine à Lugano. MUSEC entend ainsi élargir et consolider sa vocation vers la photographie contemporaine et l'histoire de la photographie développée et établie depuis 2005 avec le cycle de recherches et d'expositions "Esovisioni".
Le projet "Photo inédite" est promu par MUSEC et la Fondazione culture e musei di Lugano, en collaboration avec la galerie 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS de Milan, à laquelle nous devons la création du prix homonyme qui, depuis 2018, attire de jeunes talents de la photographie du monde entier.
Avec l'édition 2020, le Musée des Cultures veut consolider l'initiative, en lui donnant un cadre institutionnel et une perspective de développement à moyen et long terme, qui conduira en 2021 à la remise du Prix International, après la pause imposée cette année par la pandémie.
Unpublished Photo entend mettre en évidence les principales tendances de la jeune photographie d'art au niveau international, en constituant à Lugano une véritable archive de la photographie contemporaine, qui trouvera place à côté de la collection photographique du XIXe siècle et de la collection de photographies d'exotisme que MUSEC possède déjà.
Le projet vise également à améliorer l'interaction culturelle entre la Suisse et l'Italie, en offrant une rive faisant autorité aux collectionneurs internationaux. Ainsi, la découverte et la valorisation de nouvelles tendances et de nouveaux langages relient Lugano et Milan en tant que vitrines privilégiées des talents émergents de la photographie d'art internationale.
UP20 sera accompagné d'une série d'événements collatéraux pour le public, tels que des conférences et des rencontres avec des artistes, organisés par MUSEC en collaboration avec la Società Ticinese di Belle Arti. Le programme actualisé sera publié dans la section "Actualités et événements".
L'exposition présente au public les lauréats des éditions 2018 et 2019 du Prix de la photo inédite.
L'esposizione fotografica UP20 - Unpublished Photo allestita nello Spazio Maraini di Villa Malpensata presenta ventiquattro opere di sei giovani talenti della fotografia contemporanea internazionale. Si tratta della prima tappa di un nuovo progetto, che nei prossimi anni costituirà a Lugano un vero e proprio archivio della fotografia contemporanea.
Il MUSEC intende così ampliare e consolidare la sua vocazione verso la fotografia contemporanea e la storia della fotografia sviluppata e affermata dal 2005 con il ciclo di ricerche ed esposizioni «Esovisioni».
Il progetto Unpublished Photo è promosso dal MUSEC e dalla Fondazione culture e musei di Lugano, in collaborazione con 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS Gallery di Milano, cui si deve la creazione dell’omonimo premio che dal 2018 richiama giovani talenti della fotografia da tutto il mondo.
Con l’edizione 2020, il Museo delle Culture vuole consolidare l’iniziativa, dandole una cornice istituzionale e una prospettiva di sviluppo a medio-lungo termine, che tra l’altro porterà nel 2021 al riavvio del Premio internazionale, dopo la pausa imposta quest’anno dalla pandemia.
Unpublished Photo intende segnalare a livello internazionale le principali tendenze della giovane fotografia d’arte, costituendo a Lugano un vero e proprio archivio della fotografia contemporanea, che troverà spazio accanto alla collezione fotografica ottocentesca e alla collezione di fotografia dell’Esotismo che il MUSEC già possiede.
Il progetto intende inoltre migliorare l’interazione culturale fra la Svizzera e l’Italia, offrendo una sponda autorevole al collezionismo internazionale. In tal modo, la scoperta e la valorizzazione di nuove tendenze e nuovi linguaggi interconnettono Lugano e Milano come vetrine espositive privilegiate e di grande rilievo per i talenti emergenti della fotografia d’arte internazionale.
UP20 sarà accompagnato da una serie di appuntamenti di approfondimento collaterali per il pubblico, quali conferenze e incontri con gli artisti, organizzati dal MUSEC in collaborazione con la Società Ticinese di Belle Arti. Il programma aggiornato sarà pubblicato nella sezione news ed eventi.
L’esposizione presenta al pubblico i vincitori delle edizioni 2018 e 2019 del Premio Unpublished Photo.
UP20 - Unpublished Photo, the photographic exhibition at Spazio Maraini in Villa Malpensata presents twenty-four works by six young talents of international contemporary photography. This is the first stage of a new project, which in the coming years will constitute a real archive of contemporary photography in Lugano.
MUSEC thus intends to expand and consolidate its vocation towards contemporary photography and the history of photography developed and established since 2005 with the "Esovisioni" series of research and exhibitions.
Unpublished Photo is a project is promoted by MUSEC and the Fondazione culture e musei di Lugano, in collaboration with 29 ARTS IN PROGRESS Gallery in Milan, which has created the prize of the same name. Since 2018 this prize has attracted young photography talents from all over the world.
With the 2020 edition, the MUSEC aims to consolidate the initiative, giving it an institutional framework and a medium-long term development perspective, which, among other things, will lead in 2021 to the restart of the International Prize, after the pause imposed this year by the coronavirus pandemic.
Unpublished Photo intends to point out the main trends in young art photography on an international level, constituting in Lugano a real archive of contemporary photography. This archive will enrich the photographic collections of MUSEC, which already owns collections of 19th century photos and of photography of Exoticism.
The project also aims to improve the cultural interaction between Switzerland and Italy, offering an authoritative platform for international collecting. In this way, the discovery and enhancement of new trends and new languages interconnect Lugano and Milan as privileged exhibition showcases of great importance for the emerging talents of international art photography.
The exhibition which opens to the public in Lugano on October 14 presents the winners of the 2018 and 2019 editions of the Unpublished Photo Award in Milan, each of them with a portfolio of four photos.
