Anlässlich der internationalen Fotografiemesse PARIS PHOTO und im Rahmen der Reihe Die junge deutsche Fotografie stellen das Goethe-Institut Paris und die Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation die Arbeiten der Fotoklasse von Adam Broomberg und Oliver Chanarin aus, zwei international anerkannten Stimmen der zeitgenössischen Fotografie und Professoren an der Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HfBK) in Hamburg. In der Gruppenausstellung "SUTURE" untersuchen die 23 Künstler das verbindende Potenzial des Mediums: seine Grenzen, Fähigkeiten und Chancen in einer sich wandelnden Welt. Kritisches Denken und der ständige Widerwille, die gegenwärtige Welt zu akzeptieren, sind der rote Faden, der die Vielfalt ihrer Positionen verbindet. Für die Studierenden der Klasse Broomberg & Chanarin sind Fotografie und Kunst ein Sprachrohr, ein Heilmittel und eine Schweißnaht. Ihre Naht.
À l’occasion de la foire internationale de la photographie PARIS PHOTO et dans le cadre de la série La jeune photographie allemande, le Goethe-Institut de Paris et la Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation exposent les travaux de la classe de photographie d’Adam Broomberg et Oliver Chanarin, deux voix de la photographie contemporaine de réputation internationale et professeurs à la Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HfBK) de Hambourg. Dans l’exposition collective « SUTURE », les 23 artistes examinent le potentiel de connexion du médium : ses limites, ses capacités et ses chances dans un monde en changement. La pensée critique et la constante répugnance à accepter le monde actuel sont le fil rouge qui relie la diversité de leurs positions. Pour les étudiant·e·s de la classe Broomberg & Chanarin, la photographie et l’art sont un porte-parole, un remède et une soudure. Leur Suture.
In occasione della fiera internazionale della fotografia PARIS PHOTO e nell'ambito della serie Young German Photography, il Goethe-Institut Paris e la Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation espongono il lavoro della classe di fotografia di Adam Broomberg e Oliver Chanarin, due voci di fama internazionale della fotografia contemporanea e professori alla Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HfBK) di Amburgo. Nella mostra collettiva "SUTURE", i 23 artisti esaminano il potenziale di connessione del mezzo: i suoi limiti, le capacità e le opportunità in un mondo che cambia. On the occasion of the international photography fair PARIS PHOTO and as part of the Young German Photography series, the Goethe-Institut Paris and the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation are exhibiting the work of the photography class of Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin, two internationally renowned voices of contemporary photography and professors at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (HfBK) in Hamburg. In the group exhibition "SUTURE", the 23 artists examine the connecting potential of the medium: its limits, its capabilities and its opportunities in a changing world. Critical thinking and the constant reluctance to accept the current world are the common thread that links the diversity of their positions. For the students of the Broomberg & Chanarin class, photography and art are a mouthpiece, a remedy and a solder. Their Suture.
