Alles beginnt mit dem Berg und dem Weg, den man nehmen muss, um ihn zu fotografieren. Aber wenn Iris Hutegger und Xavier Dauny die traditionellen Verfahren der Silberfotografie wählen, um ihre Werke in Schwarz-Weiß zu schaffen, verwandeln sie diese durch Stickerei oder Aufnahme und Druck und erfinden so eine andere Vision der Landschaft, poetisch und sensibel, genährt von ihren Überlegungen und ihrer Fantasie. Diese beiden Künstler befinden sich in der großen Strenge, die ihnen ihr kreatives Protokoll auferlegt, und in der Zeit, die sie der Arbeit des Fotografierens, des Druckens oder der Umwandlung des fotografischen Bildes widmen. Iris Hutegger und Xavier Dauny laden mit ihren Ansätzen dazu ein, unsere Wahrnehmung der Landschaft, die Prägung der Natur durch den Menschen und die Frage nach der Zeit zu hinterfragen, die heute angesichts der Ewigkeit der Berge dringend notwendig ist.
Tout part de la montagne et du chemin à prendre pour la photographier. Mais si Iris Hutegger et Xavier Dauny choisissent les procédés traditionnels de la photographie argentique pour créer leurs oeuvres en noir et blanc, ils les métamorphosent par la broderie ou la prise de vue et le tirage et inventent ainsi une autre vision du paysage, poétique et sensible, nourrie par leurs réflexions et leur imaginaire. Ces deux artistes se retrouvent dans la très grande rigueur que leur imposent leur protocole créatif et le temps qu’ils consacrent au travail de prise de vue, de tirage ou de transformation de l’image photographique. Par leurs approches, Iris Hutegger et Xavier Dauny nous invitent à questionner notre perception du paysage, l’empreinte de l’humain sur la nature et la question du temps, désormais temps de l’urgence environnementale face à l’éternité des montagnes.
Tutto inizia con la montagna e il percorso da fare per fotografarla. Ma se Iris Hutegger e Xavier Dauny scelgono i processi tradizionali della fotografia all'argento per creare le loro opere in bianco e nero, le metamorfizzano attraverso il ricamo o la ripresa e la stampa e inventano così un'altra visione del paesaggio, poetica e sensibile, alimentata dalle loro riflessioni e dalla loro immaginazione. Questi due artisti si trovano nel grande rigore imposto dal loro protocollo creativo e dal tempo che dedicano al lavoro di ripresa, stampa o trasformazione dell'immagine fotografica. Attraverso i loro approcci, Iris Hutegger e Xavier Dauny ci invitano a mettere in discussione la nostra percezione del paesaggio, l'impronta dell'uomo sulla natura e la questione del tempo, ora il tempo dell'urgenza ambientale di fronte all'eternità delle montagne.
Everything starts with the mountain and the path to take to photograph it. But if Iris Hutegger and Xavier Dauny choose the traditional processes of silver photography to create their works in black and white, they metamorphose them through embroidery or shooting and printing and thus invent another vision of the landscape, poetic and sensitive, nourished by their reflections and their imagination. These two artists find themselves in the great rigor imposed by their creative protocol and the time they devote to the work of shooting, printing or transforming the photographic image. Through their approaches, Iris Hutegger and Xavier Dauny invite us to question our perception of the landscape, the imprint of humans on nature and the question of time, now the time of environmental urgency in the face of the eternity of mountains.
