Patrick Willocq präsentiert im Hangar das Gemeinschaftskunstprojekt "Songs of Walés" mit einigen der Fotos, die noch nie zuvor in Belgien gezeigt wurden. Dieses ist das Ergebnis einer einzigartigen Zusammenarbeit mit jungen Pygmäenfrauen, ihren jeweiligen Clans, einer Ethnomusikologin und vielen Kunsthandwerkern des Waldes (Jäger, Bauern und Fischer), die während des Projekts zu talentierten Schöpfern aller Art wurden. Unterstützt von Dido Lusamba Ntambwe, einem in Kinshasa lebenden Künstler, baut Patrick Willocq seine inszenierten Fotografien mitten im Busch auf, ohne Fotomontage oder Collage. Er sucht die beste Art und Weise, eine Geschichte zu erzählen, die den jungen Müttern, die selbst zu Schauspielerinnen geworden sind, lieb ist, indem er ihre Teilnahme sucht, ihnen zuhört, mit ihnen eine Dekoration schafft, indem er ihr Leben und ihre Wünsche inszeniert und mit ihnen Castings macht. Die Dekoration, die Farben, die Figuren, alles ist geplant. In diesem Frühjahr werden die Wände des vorderen Hangarraums durch die Fotos dieser grandiosen Szenen bereichert.
Patrick Willocq présente, au hangar, le projet artistique communautaire "Chansons de Walés", avec certaines des photos jamais montrées en Belgique auparavant. Celui-ci est le résultat d'une collaboration unique avec de jeunes femmes pygmées, leurs clans respectifs, un ethnomusicologue et de nombreux artisans de la forêt (chasseurs, agriculteurs et pêcheurs) qui sont devenus des créateurs talentueux de tous types au cours du projet. Assisté par Dido Lusamba Ntambwe, un artiste basé à Kinshasa, Patrick Willocq construit ses photographies mises en scène au milieu de la brousse, sans aucun photomontage ni collage. Il cherche la meilleure façon de raconter une histoire, chère aux jeunes mères, elles-mêmes devenues actrices, en recherchant leur participation, en les écoutant, en créant un décor avec elles, en mettant en scène leur vie et leurs désirs, en faisant des castings avec elles. Les décors, les couleurs, les personnages, tout est prévu. Ce printemps, les murs de l'espace avant du hangar seront mis en valeur par les photos de ces scènes grandioses.
Patrick Willocq presents, at hangar, the community art project “Songs of Walés”, with some of the photos never showed in Belgium before. This one is the result of a unique collaboration with young pygmy women, their respective clans, an ethnomusicologist, and many artisans of the forest (hunters, farmers and fishermen) that became talented creators of all types during the project. Assisted by Dido Lusamba Ntambwe, a Kinshasa-based artist, Patrick Willocq builds his staged photographies in the middle of the bush, without any photomontage or collage. He seeks the best way to tell a story, dear to the young mothers, themselves turned actresses, seeking their participation, listening to them, creating a decor with them, by staging their lives and their desires, doing castings with them. The décors, the colors, the characters, everything is planned. This spring, the walls of hangar front space will be enhanced by the photos of these grandiose scenes.
