Im östlichen Teil Polens, direkt an der Grenze zu Belarus, liegt der tausendjährige Bialowieza-Wald. Er ist einer der ältesten Naturwälder Europas. Von der Zeit abgeschnitten, ist es ein Ort, an dem die Anliegen der modernen Welt bisher abwesend zu sein schienen. Seit Anfang 2016 ist dieser Wald jedoch Schauplatz des wichtigsten Umweltkonflikts in Europa. Orte, die seit 1979 von der UNESCO und durch die europäische Gesetzgebung geschützt werden, sind von Zerstörung bedroht. Innerhalb von 2 Jahren wurden 187 Klagen gegen Aktivisten eingereicht, die gegen die Verwüstung dieser Umwelt protestierten. Trotz des Verbots durch den Gerichtshof der Europäischen Union wurde der Holzeinschlag bis Dezember 2017 fortgesetzt. Es ist dieser Kampf für den Erhalt der Natur, den Andrea Olga Mantovani erzählt.
Dans la partie orientale de la Pologne, juste à la frontière avec la Biélorussie, se situe la forêt millénaire de Bialowieza. Elle est l’une des plus anciennes forêts naturelles d’Europe. Coupé du temps, c’est un lieu où les préoccupations du monde moderne semblaient jusqu’alors absentes. Cependant, depuis le début de l’année 2016, cette forêt est le théâtre du plus important conflit environnemental en Europe. Des lieux protégés par l’Unesco depuis 1979 et par la législation européenne sont menacés de destruction. 187 procès en 2 ans ont été intentés contre les activistes qui protestent contre les ravages faits à cet environnement. Malgré leur interdiction par la Cour de Justice de l’Union Européenne, les abattages ont continué jusqu’en décembre 2017. In the eastern part of Poland, right on the border with Belarus, lies the thousand-year-old Bialowieza Forest. It is one of the oldest natural forests in Europe. Cut off from time, it is a place where the concerns of the modern world seemed to be absent until now. However, since the beginning of 2016, this forest has been the scene of the most important environmental conflict in Europe. Places protected by UNESCO since 1979 and by European legislation are threatened with destruction. 187 lawsuits in 2 years have been brought against activists protesting against the devastation of this environment.
