Passend zu Hajek-Halke ist eine Auswahl namhafter Fotograf*innen zu sehen mit Werken, die den Begriff Experiment auf unterschiedliche Weise ausloten. So sind neben den berühmten Fotografien von Eugene Edgerton, dem Pionier der Hochgeschwindigkeitsfotografie, Arbeiten des Newcomers Bastiaan Woudt ausgestellt, der das klassische Motiv des Portraits mit starken Weißschwarz-Kontrasten und klaren Formen in die Abstraktion zieht. Die Fotografien von Sarah Moon hingegen sind von einer traumartigen Bildsprache geprägt. Durch Unschärfen und Verfremdung verbinden sich Motiv und Hintergrund, losgelöst von Raum und Zeit. Auch die berühmte Arbeit After Van Dongen von Norman Parkinson – eine Hommage an den holländischen Künstler – spielt mit Vorder- und Hintergrund und lässt die Grenze zwischen Malerei und Fotografie verschwimmen. Die Werke von Guy Bourdin und Gilbert Garcin führen den Betrachter in eine surreale Szenerie mit narrativen Bildinhalten.
Diese Präsentation zeigt einen kleinen Einblick in die umfassende Sammlung, deren Schwerpunkte neben experimentellen Ansätzen, auf historischen Fotografien - besonders mit Bezug zu Berlin - und auf Nude / Erotik liegt.
Dans la lignée de Hajek-Halke, une sélection de photographes de renom est exposée avec des œuvres qui explorent le concept d'expérience de différentes manières. Aux côtés des célèbres photographies d'Eugene Edgerton, le pionnier de la photographie à grande vitesse, on trouve des œuvres du nouveau venu Bastiaan Woudt, qui pousse le motif classique du portrait jusqu'à l'abstraction avec de forts contrastes blanc-noir et des formes claires. Les photographies de Sarah Moon, quant à elles, se caractérisent par un langage visuel onirique. Par le biais du flou et de l'aliénation, le motif et le fond se connectent, détachés de l'espace et du temps. La célèbre œuvre After Van Dongen de Norman Parkinson - un hommage à l'artiste néerlandais - joue également avec le premier plan et l'arrière-plan et brouille la frontière entre peinture et photographie. Les œuvres de Guy Bourdin et Gilbert Garcin entraînent le spectateur dans un décor surréaliste au contenu pictural narratif.
Cette présentation donne un petit aperçu de la vaste collection qui, outre les approches expérimentales, se concentre sur les photographies historiques - notamment en ce qui concerne Berlin - et sur le nu/l'érotisme.
In linea con Hajek-Halke, una selezione di rinomati fotografi è in mostra con opere che esplorano il concetto di esperimento in modi diversi. Accanto alle famose fotografie di Eugene Edgerton, il pioniere della fotografia ad alta velocità, ci sono opere del nuovo arrivato Bastiaan Woudt, che porta il classico motivo del ritratto nell'astrazione con forti contrasti bianco-neri e forme chiare. Le fotografie di Sarah Moon, invece, sono caratterizzate da un linguaggio visivo onirico. Attraverso la sfocatura e l'alienazione, motivo e sfondo si collegano, staccati dallo spazio e dal tempo. Anche la famosa opera After Van Dongen di Norman Parkinson - un omaggio all'artista olandese - gioca con il primo piano e lo sfondo e confonde il confine tra pittura e fotografia. Le opere di Guy Bourdin e Gilbert Garcin conducono lo spettatore in uno scenario surreale dal contenuto pittorico narrativo.
Questa presentazione fornisce un piccolo assaggio dell'ampia collezione, che, oltre agli approcci sperimentali, si concentra sulle fotografie storiche - specialmente con riferimento a Berlino - e sul nudo/erotismo.
In addition to the famous photographs of Harold Edgerton, the pioneer of high-speed photography, works by newcomer Bastiaan Woudt are on display, who draws the classic motif of the portrait into abstraction with strong black & white contrasts and precise forms. Sarah Moon's photographs, on the other hand, are characterized by a dream-like visual language. Through blurring and alienation, motif and background become one, detaching any sense of space and time. The famous work After Van Dongen by Norman Parkinson – a tribute to the Dutch artist – also plays with foreground and background and dissolves the line between painting and photography. Finally, the works of Guy Bourdin and Gilbert Garcin lead the viewer into a surreal scenery with narrative images.
This presentation shows a small insight into the comprehensive collection, which focuses not only on experimental approaches but also on historical photographs - especially regarding Berlin - and Nude / Eroticism.
