Zwischen 2003 und 2012 realisierte der Fotograf Christian Lutz (1973 in Genf geboren) eine Trilogie über das Thema Macht: zuerst politisch in Protokoll, dann wirtschaftlich in Tropical Gift und religiös in In Jesus' Name. Alle drei Teile wurden in einem Buch im Lars Müller Verlag veröffentlicht und die Trilogie wurde mehrfach ausgestellt. Christian Lutz absolvierte seine Ausbildung in der Kunstschule "Le 75" in Brüssel. Er trat 2007 der Agentur VU bei und war 2017 Mitbegründer der Agentur MAPS. Der Ansatz des Fotografen basiert auf einer gewissenhaften Beobachtung der Dynamiken unserer Gesellschaft. 2016 veröffentlichte er Insert Coins im Verlag André Frère und 2019 The Pearl River im Verlag Patrick Frey. Beide Serien wurden unter dem Titel Eldorado bei der 50. Ausgabe der Rencontres de la Photographies d'Arles 2019 ausgestellt.
Entre 2003 et 2012, le photographe Christian Lutz (né à Genève en 1973) réalise une trilogie sur le thème du pouvoir: politique d’abord avec Protokoll, économique dans Tropical Gift et religieux avec In Jesus’ Name. Les trois volets on chacun fait l’objet d’un livre paru aux éditions Lars Müller et la trilogie fut exposée à de nombreuses reprises. Christian Lutz s’est formé dans l’établissement artistique “le 75” à Bruxelles. Il rejoint l’agence VU en 2007 et co-fonde l’agence MAPS en 2017. La démarche du photographe se base sur une observation scrupuleuse des dynamiques de notre société. En 2016 il publie Insert Coins aux éditions André Frère et en 2019 The Pearl River aux éditions Patrick Frey. Ces deux séries ont été exposées sous le titre Eldorado lors de la 50ème édition des Rencontres de la photographies d’Arles 2019.

Between 2003 and 2012, the photographer Christian Lutz (born in Geneva in 1973) created a trilogy on the theme of power: first political with Protokoll, economic in Tropical Gift and religious with In Jesus' Name. The three parts have each been the subject of a book published by Lars Müller and the trilogy has been exhibited on numerous occasions. Christian Lutz trained at the art establishment "le 75" in Brussels. He joined the VU agency in 2007 and co-founded the MAPS agency in 2017. The photographer's approach is based on a scrupulous observation of the dynamics of our society. In 2016 he published Insert Coins with André Frère Editions and in 2019 The Pearl River with Patrick Frey Editions.
